  • After the Lakers lost the 2004 NBA Finals, O'Neal was traded and Bryant became the cornerstone of the Lakers. Kobe led the NBA in scoring in the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. On January 22, 2006, he scored a career-high 81 points; the second most points scored in a single game in league history, behind Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game in 1962. Bryant led the team to consecutive championships in 2009 and 2010, both times being named NBA Finals MVP.

I’ve seen a lot of basketball in my life, this was the greatest stretch of basketball I ever saw. Jordan was pretty dominate too, but Kobe’s game was just flawless.
I’ve never seen a man just like a team up like Kobe during this period.

Kobe had such a phenomenal year in 05-06, and the pre-Gasol era, he had really limited help, maybe Luke Walton was their best passer, Odom was on the rise to be a part of Kobe's supporting cast.
How often do you see a player outscoring a team 62-61? Scoring 81 a few weeks later?

They used box 1 againts him and dropped 81 againts Raptors in a physical tough d era of NBA. And that same box 1 used in a soft era of NBa againts ste fake curry he doesn't know wht to do. That alone is the reason what seprated kobe againts the pretending star players of soft era of NBA. See what chuck said? He wants to prove a point in game 7 of suns but he's selfish. Media just don't want to give Kobe any credit. He just did what they want him to do and still he's selfish. Hahahaha! That proves another point that as early as Kobe was a Jordan like player in 2000-01 season, media was already using that same spiel what chuck said. He don't pass the ball he's selfish, he passed the ball he's still selfish. But truth is they hate him, because he was tge closest thing to MJ yet Kobe wouldn't go with the media's d3mand. To be that well behave NbA elite super star by go with thei4 BS. So what kobe did? From 2008-2010 he went to 3 straight finals won 2 chips got an olympi gold, saved the US because medias daughter le floppy James is a no show in th3 second half of the gold medal game. With out any super teams in those title runs. Sounds familliar? Yep MJ won 91 and 92 titles with out super teams to helped him and won gold medal in Barcelona. Oooop! Some one who is flopping tried to do that in 2012, but he cant, because Jason Terry out muscled him in 2011 and he got a 20s primed super team in Miami.
