    Thanks for taking the time to answer my question about how to look at research. Looking at studies that don't seem to uncover much on their own but may contribute to bigger steps in the future is something I will bear in mind. Being humble and saying that the findings of x study may suggest something as opposed to being definitive can help to reduce a lot of friction between researchers and teachers who are under pressure to make sure that their practices are research based.
    I enjoy learning Mandarin on top of teaching EFL and sometimes I see these language learning videos with headlines saying the research shows x but then I look at the research and it isn't really that reliable which I won't lie, kinda rubs me the wrong way. They will also talk about a certain study but won't state any limitations. I see the same thing in the fitness industry too. Some humble pie could do some people some good. It's also our responsibility to be critical and reasonable with our expectations.
