I teach grade 2 and sometimes I notice new students come in and don't say anything for quite a while but then start speaking a lot later on. What are your top websites/blogs for getting more info on teaching strategies for TPRS? I like the growing with proficiency podcast and the motivated classroom.
That sounds super typical -- silent/minimal production for a while, then a sort of burst of new language production, especially for young children in their first or additional languages. I think there are a lot of options for learning about language teaching now -- you've named good ones!
