    College football has ALWAYS been about BIG business…don’t be mad at the student athletes now for making these colleges stand on the business portion. Blame the school not the player

      Oh I do blame the teams for even entertaining paying players through NIL.
      It should have been a small amount divided among the team, not individual sponsorships.

      @@bnegs521 It's laughable when you read all the further bizarre claims that his dad and his agent are making now. They actually said that there many power conference teams offering him $400,000 to $500,000, and he turned them down to get $100,000 fro UNLV. Sure, that's believable. 🤣🤣

    UNLV/NIL representatives should pay up as promised. It's a small sum considering what the future financial gains are. UNLV is 3-0, just beat a P4 team in Kansas and likely competing for a conference championship.
    This is the difference between making and not making a bowl game. Very dumb selfish financial move.

    Sluka got what he was promised. Started 3 and 0. His agent then created a ransom to keep him at UNLV and UNLV didnt have that kind of cash. Thats what happened.This was a ransom!

    The only thing that needs to happen is that players get what they are promised. I would be for making all of the "contracts" public just for transparency and maybe to set expectations for HS kids. The kids are the "product" that is being sold and a lot of folks are making a hell of a lot of money off of the "product". The "product" deserves what they are promised, not one dime more or less. I can't believe anyone would think otherwise.

    Only one side of the story. Hold judgement. What if UNLV was meeting its NIL obligation to the kid. But then he shines in the 3-0 start; and suddenly his market value dramatically shoots up. Who can say? Let's wait for the facts.

    The system is to blame here the lack of transparency and firm guidelines on NIL is the problem. Make it equal across the board and put it in tiers and you won’t have these issues.

It is his 5th year - no eligibility left after this year. Grab as much NIL money as you can before you start working at that car dealership in Massachusetts.

    I think college football will look more like MLB than professional football.
    In baseball the top teams spend 230 million + while the bottom feeders spend less than 100 million. It’s still a team sport at the end of the day

    Nobody working for free. When they started NIL they put evaluations on these kids. His was 100k. They agreed but probably didn’t think he’d perform At this level and stabbing him in the back would go unnoticed from an “irrelevant” team. But he balling and they undefeated and ranked so it’s national news and trust me recruits see what you just did. This is bad for the program moving forward

Given that his father and his manager are also saying that power conference schools offered him up to half a million, but he turned them down, I think this guy is one of the worst liars in sports. Sure, kid, you turned own half a million, in order to play at a school where even you admit there was never a formal offer, and you were only going to get 20% of what you could have gotten elsewhere, according to your bullsh!t stories. 🤣
