Do you know how to how to download icloud photos with the original date on windows 10, struggling to figure it out but i'm going to do this from now on
Please help, i have uploaded to shared album, but when I delete the original pic, and tried to save photo back on shared album tab, its now getting downloaded to the library.
I moved app my photos and videos to a shared folder but it didn’t free up any space on my phone. I waited 12 hrs to make sure they all upload, made sure to delete them from the phone and clean out “recently deleted”. Not sure why it didn’t free up space on my phone 🤷♂️
I have to clear my photos. So I added this photos to shared album and deleted from the library. But shared album takes my storage. How can i clean my storage without deleting photos from shared album.
Nope, you don't have to make any changes. Your photos will be available in the shared albums as usual. It's important to keep the same Apple ID. Then everything will sync ;)
Or just use google photos it has 15gb of storage and you can even delete your photos or videos from photos app and it will stay in your google backup lifetime

I turn my iCloud download off and pictures from recent photos start disappearing, use to have little over 50K pictures and videos now I'm down to 30K luckily I switched the iCloud download back on in time not to lose all of my pictures and videos. Not sure why this happen and also have no chance to find out what files are gone, just my home screen count went from 50K to 30K files.

You may not have enough space on your iPhone because when you try to add photos to a shared album, the iPhone first downloads them and then uploads them to a different cloud storage.
Just one thing, I don’t further need to sync my photos with iCloud? Bcz I have already synced them in my shared album which is also iCloud storage right ?
'download' will keep high resolution copy on your iphone alongside icloud. 'remove' will just keep low resolution to save your iphone storage, if you want the high resolution, the iphone will download from the icloud while viewing in photos and loads longer if you want to share the images or videos..

I try to open video in shared folder without connection and it can be played. I feel like no cloud being used, just another folder named shared folder. Free 1 million file cloud is too good to be true. 😢
Well if you want to download on your device all pictures that are kept on the iCloud it will use internal space. If you want to just view your pictures without downloading them it will not use your storage space. Hope you got the idea. So technically you have unlimited storage in iCloud 🤓

🤔🤔🤔 normally if the photo is in the shared album it can be deleted from your library. Maybe the original file was not transferred to the shared album? Are you sure your iPhone was connected to Wifi?
Yes, you can remove original photos from your iPhone once it was transferred to the shared album. just make sure that it's already finished the transfer because sometimes it takes a few minutes to transfer a lot of photos. Also, be aware that sometimes iCloud can cut the original quality of pictures (almost invisible to the human eye) but still it's important to know.

Then when I go back to those photos from the main library and re-select those same photos and click to delete them from my phone, I get this message: “These items will be deleted from iCloud Photos on all your devices. They will be in Recently Deleted for 30 days.” My question is, if I go ahead and delete the items at this step, will the photos also be deleted from the shared album since the shared album is also on iCloud? Yes… it will delete it… not to be sounding rude but re-read the warning it gives you, it will be deleted from iCloud, so if your album is in iCloud, it will be deleted

no, if you added it to iCloud Shared Album and then deleted if from recents it will still be available in iCloud :) Test it with 1 photo and check it ;)

you uploaded the video to iCloud - so its no longer stored on your device. It means every time you are watching your video it is downloaded from the cloud - so if your internet speed is slow it takes some time to load. This is the downside of this method

When I go to photos then and delete them, because theoretically they're in my shared album, they disappear from both, so color me confused AF.
