I deleted 350+ photos and 30+ videos, in recently deleted too and the storage didn’t even free up not even 1 mb
If you go under settings > iPhone storage > others at the bottom; what does it say? Plus considering you had just deleted almost 400 photos; you’re iPhone most likely still processing all the changes (others). Thus, check back tomorrow and see iPhone has decreased or not. Let us know!
@@rankinh71 its says 21.24 GB and the iCloud storage decreased by 2.5 GB
same. i only have 64 images (i deleted over 3 thousand photos) and the AUDACITY OF APPLE OML it went up 😭😔. photos is taking up 2 whole gb 🙊

I went from 4.8 GB/5 to 3.4 GB/5. It’s not much but makes a huge difference thanks to your videos. No matter how much photos and apps I delete before nothing helped!!! Thanks for the video 🙂🙂

Thanks, man! That was pretty much what I was looking for. I just got a new (to me) MacBook Pro and because of my lack of understanding of this, I was surprised to learn that my iCloud was full and I didn't even know I had an iCloud that was connected to my iPhone... I've been backing up my photos by just putting them on an external HD for year but still have quite a few high quality photos on there..... Busy work....
OMG! I know this was a year ago but the second way helped me! It deleted half of my GB. I had full bars and now I have half!! Works super good!! Thank you!

Apparently, the High Quality storage option in backup settings has been changed to Storage Saver. I was so confused when trying to find that setting lol. Awesome educational video, thank you!

Ok so if I delete photos on my iPhone will it still be available to view on iCloud or is it just there for the next 30 days in the "Recently Deleted" album and will someday vanish?
its just in the recently deleted but you can delete them if you backup all your things on google photos

Um I have family sharing, and family is taking up most of my iCloud storage. I want to get rid of it, but I don’t know what will happen if I leave family storage. Well this is great and thank you very much. Small problem: my iCloud storage did not change from beginning to end. I think perhaps I’m missing something? I know that none of my settings look like yours because when you said tap this, there was nothing there to tap. You did make me aware of one thing, and that is I think I’m doubling up my photos because I have iCloud photo and I have Google photos. I should delete the iCloud one but I’m afraid to do it.
It may take a day or two I think? Did it change yet?

Backups is taking up the most space what do I do?
I have a couple apps and a couple photos and it’s forcing me to free storage
I have a question, if my photos are not backup and if I buy more storage, will it back up or no?
Does the two ways of storing photos on iCloud -- backup in settings and iCloud photos for sync -- if BOTH are ON -- does that double the space used on iCloud???? I thought the fine print indicates that backups do not backup PHOTOS.

I know this is 3 years ago but if anyone can help I would appreciate it, on my iPad I’m trying to get my iPad to backup but there isn’t any space on my iCloud so I went to check and my ‘backups’ were using a lot of storage but my other stuff wasn’t so I went to see the problem and I followed this tutorial by taking out things I don’t need from backups but that didn’t work so I got rid of everything but one app that is very important but it takes up 3 gigs out of my 5, the only way to back it up is to take out that one but like I said it’s very important does anyone know a way I could free up iCloud storage on that app or know a solution?
