Still one of the best entry enthusiast cars you can possibly buy. Want to learn manual? This. Want to have a ONE CAR as a single? This. Want to jump into autocross? This. Canyon driver? This. Frugal fuel usage? This. It’s a fantastic car for many people and reasons.
A FiST is absolutely more fun than a Golf. I came from 5 Golfs - mk5 gti, mk5 R32, mk5 Pirelli Edition (Golf R EA113 ko4 engine), mk7 IS38 swapped gti - and the FiST is infinitely more capable on twisty roads and a lot more fun. To me it doesn't need an LSD. The only thing more fun in the same/ish bracket is a Megane RS with an LSD which obviously isn't available for you in America. Nice video.
And unfortunately, we are surrounded by white Mk7s of all iterations here in Utah haha. The Fiesta will always be a more fun car, but also a little compromised on the daily factor with having shit materials and higher NVH levels. That Renault is on a short-list of amazing cars we don't get here, along with GR Yaris, Alpine A110, and some fast wagons. Thanks for watching!
OH SHIT! Good to know! Everyone's lives and how they drive can be so different that it's difficult sometimes to tell where the real issue lies. Thanks for watching!
Love your video. Different and much welcomed. LOVE the Fiesta ST man. Same year as you, without the Recaros, but moderately modified. Never gonna sell mine.
Awesome stuff sir, I bought mine in Feb 2018 same color and seats as yours, Cobb stage 2 with all whoosh stuff. By far the funnest car I’ve ever owned.
So I'm a fellow SLC Fiesta ST driver. The heat soak is in your intercooler not the radiator. As soon as I replaced my intercooler with a Whoosh V3 and put a Dizzy tune on it stopped pulling my power in traffic even mid summer with stock rad. Then it added a little power that I can pull time after time. Granted, that's my next upgrade is a triple pass rad just cause I think it's important to have cooling over power.
Greetings fellow Utahn! I've heard the same thing, but have pushed and pushed my car to max revs on all the local canyon roads consistently through them and haven't had any overheating issues since the rad. A Whoosh V3 is on the list of mods. Just yesterday I threw my Integrales with my Conti ECS back on and boy am I excited for driving season again. Hopefully we get to link up one of these days! Cheers!
FiST is one of the best combo cars you can buy, especially for the price. Practical, but fun and doesn't risk jail time if you have fun with it. That's one thing that's so boring about really fast sports cars, get into it for 4 or 5 seconds and you're on your way to jail if a cop happens to be around...
@@ExhibitionofSpeed Ah yes, the subtle "theater" effect some cars have. It's a hard to find trait amongst modern cars. The GTI for example definitely doesn't have any. Yeah, it's fun on a backroad, but not when you're going A to B in traffic
The GTI can be fun on a backroad in a vacuum. I still believe that if you can tolerate the garbage-bin plastics in the Fiesta, that's still the better car. The Fiestas don't shove or understeer anywhere close to the amount in any Golf-platform cars, aside from RS3. I've seen great things about the Mk8 Golf R with its revised Haldex, and I would love to put that on camera. -Gavin
I bought my 2019 FiST in Sept of 2020 for $21k With 18k Miles on it (Now only has 32k). Cane with Fifteen52 Tarmac Satin Black Wheels and a COBB RMM. Everything else was stock....now i have a Cobb catback on it, put some Denso colder plugs/ Green Drop in filter and an accessport with a couple tunes (Dizzy and Stratified).....i do miss my WRX in the winter mainly cause i didn't need to get winter tires but the FiST is much more fun to drive.
Nice! I just swapped my Integrales out for a set of Konig Dekagrams and have been loving them! I keep going back and forth on what to do next. Bigger rear sway bar, beefy intercooler, or a tune. The thing about a tune for my car is that we have some mountain passes that I frequently drive which are 7000-ish ft above sea level, and some other fun drives take us well above 9000 ft. All while living at 4500 ft. Turbo cars don't lose as much power as NA or supercharged cars, but the consistency is what I'd be thinking about. Thanks for watching! -Gavin
Here in Salt Lake City, ambient air temperatures easily exceed 100 degrees in the summer, so when I had the issue a couple years ago now, it was definitely needed. Having pushed the car hard since the Mishimoto upgrade, the car hasn't stumbled yet.
Team Dynamics also have great wheels as well. Truth be told, I feel like 2024 is the last season of the Integrales for me seeing as I'd love some smaller wheels so I can run taller rubber. Thanks for watching!

I'M IN LOVE WITH A FIESTA AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO SAY IT!

FiST SQUAD! , my 18 overheated in traffic. Went with a Mountune rad. No issues

Funny I see this a few days before (hopefully) buying my own FiST. 😁
YEEEEEEEEE BOOOOOIIIIIII
The pop flashing 🤣
I pulled a Hoonigan edit lmao

Really enjoying the one drives
Thank you James! We appreciate it and appreciate you! 🙏

Nice! The heat here definitely makes me want a Whoosh V3 Intercooler. Heat soak sucks at high elevation and over 85 degrees ambient temps.

Hey thank you Tom! We appreciate it!!!

Great video and quality guys. Just subbed🎉

It's also just entertaining as a daily runabout. I don't feel separated or devoid of sensations while driving down a surface street at 30.

Great little video. Wondering what shift knob you’ve got? Looks great
Thanks Max! It's perfectly weighted. It's a Steeda I got off of Rallysport Direct.

I bought my 15 ST in 2020 with 103k miles for 7 grand from Toyota now it has 153k miles currently
Nice! I just crossed 85k on mine!
@@ExhibitionofSpeed I haven’t had to many reliable issues so far, thankfully

I ripped my MBuRP off. It was so droney at 3k. Put a Milltek on and never turned back.
Y'know... My MBRP is right at the top of what I find to be bearable. Even almost 4 years later.
Thanks for watching!
Whats the wheel specs? Love the look
Hey thanks! My Fifteen52 Integrales are 17×7.5 with a bolt pattern of 4x108.
Unfortunately Fifteen52 discontinued those wheels April 2023. Evo Corse sells some wheels that look very very close to the integrales though.
Team Dynamics also have great wheels as well. Truth be told, I feel like 2024 is the last season of the Integrales for me seeing as I'd love some smaller wheels so I can run taller rubber.

I have more fun in my FiST than my sr swapped 240sx lol
Darn tootin
The overheating issues were limited to 14 & 15 from my understanding. Thats why I bought a 2016.
I still ran into overheating issues with my 2016 on the stock radiator and no engine mods. What kind of climate do you have where you live?
I purchased a 14 off the lot, maybe I got lucky but I've had no issues and I drive hard.
Me.either, stock radiator, bought mine in 2013 and now at 178k miles never had overheating issues.@@buddybadu9312
