    Important: No one told me I had to lift the front end at least 2.5 inches at the lower strut or 3 inches at the top as I ended up doing. I'm running pressure at 22 lbs to level my truck. if I had used maybe a 2.5-inch lift I could balance truck level at 10 lbs. Forget about 5 lbs riding without weight. my truck 2008 Sierra 1500 4 wd 4.8 crew cab short box. make sure the lines are equal in length if you are running dual lines. or the one side pumps up faster with the shortest line. coil it up if it's extra, make them equal lentgh good suggestion. Best to yous

    Living in the climate that you do, and knowing that you can have some colder weather, one thing you have to watch for is water(condensation) in the air lines, it can freeze leaving your system inoperable and quite possibly damaging air lines and other components...

    Don - Thank you so much for making this video! I am going to be adding this Air Lift 25980EZ WirelessOne / EZ Mount and the Loadlifter 5000 Ultimate Air Springs to my 2018 Chevy Silverado. But I have some questions and hope you can provide some insights. I live in Montana and we do have wet / snow / cold etc. that would not be ideal for a frame mount. I do have the secondary battery spot on the drivers side under the engine compartment hood as you mentioned in this video and would love to place the compressor there since I don't have the awesome spot / space you have installed yours on your AT4 by the battery on the passenger side. Based on the recommendations for orientation installation, can I install the EZ Mount compressor in a face up configuration with the logo on top ( like you see it on the template copy) and orientate it on the battery tray to closely match the length / width of the compressor mount. It would be a fantastic OEM spot to use on my truck. Let me know your thoughts and recommendations. Thanks!

    Did the same location on my 2022 today. The bolts in the box were not long enough due to it not being totally flat in there. I bought a couple longer bolts and a couple rubber bushings to go between the compressor plate and the truck. It’s got just a bit of wiggle to it now. I installed the same system a few weeks ago and your video influenced me to install install the compressor in the engine area. I like the idea of keeping it out of the weather. Recently the unit has been acting up and I'm speculating that it is getting too hot for it in the engine area. After the engine is on for a little while (maybe over 10 minutes) the unit becomes unresponsive. Have you experienced any issues like this?

    • @Donslife
      @Donslife  2 года назад +1

      I haven't experienced that at all. How long is the compressor running? Mine will only kick in when I adjust my bags between 5-10 lbs. The odd time when cold, the air pressure drops and the system tops up to the minimum 5lbs. I also have the pink wire connected to an ignition source so the compressor will only come on in specific situations when the vehicle is off. I am wiring the compressor up to a switch this week too just to avoid a dead battery if a line blew when the truck is unattended.

      Mine is connected to my cooled seat fuse. The main power wire still needs to be connected. From the installation manual:
      Connect the pink wire to any wire that is active when the ignition is on. This will allow WirelessONE to make adjustments as soon as the ignition is turned on.
      Otherwise, the system will only activate when the vehicle moves or when woken up by the controller or mobile app. Hardware to connect to the ignition is not included.
      This is a low-amperage circuit that should be connected to the output side of a 10A or smaller fuse-protected circuit.

    Any reason you didn't mount it under the bed? Seems like there's a lot of room under there. Going to be doing something similar on my 2018 Dually. Is there any way for the compressor to be installed so it can work double duty for tires and such? I guess it would work it hard since there's no tank.

    • @Donslife
      @Donslife  2 года назад +1

      You can mount under the bed for sure. My climate and weather it would be rusted and worn out after one winter. I did add an auxiliary fill line and you can use the bags as a tiny tank. I could add a tank anytime and I might. Check out the video: ruclips.net/video/RhqsI4NC2rU/видео.html

    • @Donslife

      Hey there 👋🏼. I haven’t paid attention to the horn location on the 3500’s. I think you’d have to plan a good spot for relocation if that’s what you want to do…and extend the wiring.

    • @Donslife

      I think they were approximately 1.5" long since the fender bracket isn't a flush surface. You just need about 1/2" to penetrate to get a good hold.
