I gave up my opportunity to be a flight attendant after working on the ground for a major airliine - Seeing your travels has me realize the time element of your four day jouney crossing over the country and your time management and organization skills. Bravo for jugglimg your personal life and career, i wish i could have but gave it up as a mother...Your airline has a special flight attendant in you!

As a lineholder, YES! I get pay protected for the trip even if it's cancelled. As a reserve, no. You only get credit for what was flown on the trip. HOWEVER, as a reserve you have a monthly guarantee no matter how much you fly.
