I appreciate the tips, but I have a few notes. setting your power plan to "high performance" will keep your cpu/gpu boost clocks up even when idle. which may not be ideal for everyone. With newer age hardware, it knows when you are ingame and not and it will engage those higher boost clocks automatically. It may help in some cases, but leaving this on will also make the cpu/gpu run harder than necessary, when its not needed. Its the equivalent of constantly keeping your cars RPM close to the redline, even when sitting at a stop light. Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling is not always best "off". In cases where people are CPU bottlenecked, it may be more beneficial to leave it on as its intended purpose is to allow the GPU to process some tasks that would normally be processed by the CPU, thus reducing its overall usage. I would recommend testing out the game with it both on then off to see if you get any performance boosts. In most cases, the performance boosts are pretty negligible, regardless. If you are encountering some crashing though, try turning this on/off. It may resolve your issue. Last but not least, BE CAREFUL downloading and installing reg edit files... People can hide malware in them quite easily.
"setting your power plan to "high performance" will keep your cpu/gpu boost clocks up even when idle" That is not true at all, you can literally try this and check the clock speed in task manager and you will see that there is no difference.. the gpu won't even run in idle, as in idle you have a fix image cached in ram (but again task manager is there and you can see it yourself).. "leaving this on will also make the cpu/gpu run harder than necessary" This is just a fairy tale that someone made up and never bothered to check it.. like the processor would run on high clock speed on it's own without any task in idle..
@@belakiss1381 I disagree as I have tested this personally and found it to be true, at least in my case. I'm not saying your wrong, but I used HWmonitor, cpu id, gpu id, msi afterburner, etc to check my speeds/thermals and oddly enough it sometimes showed conflicting info than what was shown in task manager but regardless it mostly showed that my clock speeds were being kept at my boost speed, at all times. I fixed this after I went in and customized the high performance power plan because the one I had by default had a certain setting pertaining to the cpu speed that kept everything maxed (for lack of a better term and this was so long ago I dont remember the particular setting's name). Higher clock speeds result in higher temps which cause wear at a faster rate than not. It very likely isnt an amount that is even noticable or will cause any significant impact during its life span, but my own OCD makes me obsess about thermals, so I must have everything running as cool as possible, at all times. Like I said though, your experience may be different, but that doesnt mean its not the case for everyone. EDIT: I found the setting. It was in power plan settings>advanced settings>processor power management>minimum processor state. this was set to 99% with the high performance power plan.
My Phenom II x6 1090T still running 4.2ghz does not understand the high performance thing.. It just consumes more power/produces slightly more idle heat. Any system that is functional, should be just fine. In fact, you might find a thermal issue just from doing this. Even my 12900k is at 5ghz Pcore, 4GHz Ecore, and idles at 28c. Single thread on the Pcores will bost to 5.3, but my chip never goes under, 5ghz Pcore/4ghz Ecore. My daughter is running my old 9900k at 4.8ghz all core, just because it's on a $20 air cooler from yester-year. It won't damage anything. The chips are built to handle 100% of TDP. I have literal bins of CPU's and have never killed one somehow. Even old CPU's I find in trash PC's, still work in a functional mobo. It's not like keeping your car at redline, because it's not doing any work till you put a load on it. Especially if you OC, you want that power plan to High Performance. The dips in frequency and fluctuations can make a stable chip unstable.
Would like to mention that having 99% of processor power simply enables the CPU to drop to clocks below its turbo frequency. 99% of maximum processor power disables turbo entirely.
I should mention regarding music, if you are playing bank it, endgame music will play when a team with enough money to end gets close to a deposit (I think it's around 30-50 meters?). Aside from this specific case though, I haven't found it too useful aside from immersion and enjoyment ofc :)
Focal length does not make your ADS sens same as hipfire sens. I noticed that for iron sight weapons there's either no or a very small reduction in ADS sens, but for any weapon with any sort of sight/scope it will reduce your sens. It really throws me off while im playing FCAR.
I also was thrown off but when I increased the Zoom multiplier from 35 up to 65 it feels much more consistent between ADS and hipfire. Try turning the Zoom multiplier up until it feels normal with the FCAR and then test that with other weapon zooms
It adjusts sensitivity based on your fov so it feels the same no matter how zoomed in you are. Battlefield has the same thing and it makes aiming feel more consistent for your muscle memory
RTSS does work, the game file Discovery.exe used in setup is actually located in the Discovery folder > Binaries > Win64. I do not know if applying that exe file within the graphics setting panel is also the correct one.
The high performance setting shown at 6:42 doesn't need to be done on single GPU systems. The only time that setting is useful is on systems with an iGPU and dGPU, like a gaming laptop, which will force the selected GPU to render the app (basically saying for power saving use iGPU and for high performance when gaming use the dGPU). Single GPU system users will be fine leaving that setting on "Let Windows decide", it doesn't make any difference.
Would it be possible to see a comparison on how revolutionary the registry change was? Changing your registry seems a bit shifty, would be nice to see if its actually worth it.
I found out that the GPU crash error can be related to mismatched hardware info. Im not sure how big aim assist is in the finals so can't say that this is the reason. But as a closed beta player I remember when crossplay got introduced, lobbies were freezing all the time with crossplay on (or off I can't remember lol) im guessing it has something to do with this.
Awesome video man! Also, where did you get that jjk background for your pc? Id love to find similar ones for my own background! (big aot and jjk fan)
bro is literally my savior the solution i look for in the morning (which i dont find) he gives it to me in the night.
im pretty sure out of ever single one of these types of videos ive ever seen ur the only one telling me to turn gpu scheduling off
I have the same exact PC as you - I really recommend using DLAA instead of image sharpening. Same performance hit but it looks much better
idk this comment was 6 months ago but how do i remove that sharpen exe file he linked in his bio
@@fadedxwilson947 you put the image sharpening up your butthole then whisper “it a little teacup” 5 times in the mirror then the teacup boy comes and gives you PCP
you solved my CPU issue i tot DLSS can make different but after using TAUU game is way more smooth and i can pull out some epic play for my youtube shorts content. Thanks you so much been sub to you since apex era keep up the good works!
Turn off Focal length to have 1:1 sens with ads and hipfire
First thing I do on any FPS is make the reticle fkn hot pink. Can't lose that xD
yo at 7:34 it shows a tab titled (watch one piece english sub/dub) NICE
I have a 3060ti gpu and i7 9700k , is my cpu good enough?
Dope video! Do you know any way to help make objective markers less obstructive? It's by far the most annoying thing, right next to c4 on explosive barrels 😂
But seriously, the number of times I've died because someone is standing in front of me, hidden by the objective marker, is agitating. Is there any way to make it more transparent or smaller?
Angel stack fix that worked for me was deleting the save file them going into the game and setting everything the way I want and never touching it again.
I need controller setting for how to fix ads and sprint. When I’m ads, sometimes my player will stop to start sprinting if this makes sense
How accurate is this now?
Why would a PC player prefer crossplay to be turned off? Wouldn't you want to take advantage of easier (controller) lobbies?
Except for controllers being too op in The FINALS specifically, there's also a cheat going on where keyboard players emulate a virtual controller so they can get aim assist and no recoil.
@@lh3544 What's the point of cheating tho ? You don't get the dopamine after you win because you know you don't deserve it, you don't get better at the game so you won't ever get that dopamine, and you can't really flex to your friends because nobody cares how good you are. Any idea ?
I'm getting into a cpu bottleneck here in a low setting, so im sticking to high settings.
Can't hide the One piece at 7:33. Respect
I followed this and got decent FPS but kept getting dips when destruction and fast movement happened. I've changed to having Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling on and DLSS with performance settings to keep the frame rates more stable. I'm using a 2070 razer 15 2021 laptop
Your cpu is likely the bottle neck in this situation
@@thesputnikhd6220 That's not helping much tho, is there any solution besides changing the cpu ? I mean come on, I can run most of my games on epic but can't play the finals because "my cpu isn't good enough" that sounds like an excuse tbh, I know embark can't make their fucking game optimized for pc but isn't there anything we can do ?
@@ElMarlish i mean there is no solution besides better hardware, I used to have a similar laptop with a 2080 even with extra cooling it can only do so much, i was getting 80-90 frames.
This game is extremely demanding of cpu and good fast RAM.. the cutting edge of UE5 features requires good hardware. I have a 4090 and a i9 13900k and the game runs flawlessly 300fps+
@@thesputnikhd6220 so to play this free to play game I have to have a 2k euro computer ? That just doesn't sound right, I can play every triple A games there are in epic settings but can't play this piece of shit free game in the lowest settings ? I think embark should maybe start thinking about making their game more usable by most of the gaming community because if only the richest mofos can play this game then it's bound to disappear
@@ElMarlish correct, i have friends with 3090’s and mid level amd ryzen desktop chips and they barely pass 120 frames. The finals is a rich persons game, unlucky.
Would an Rtx 3060 and an amd ryzen 7 5700x be good?
Yeah you'll easily get above 120 at 1080p, i'll suggest getting an rtx 3060 ti tho.
What Pc specs you have man`?
Thank you a lot for making this video! I went from 100 fps to 180!
Why crossplay off? To remove most controllers AA snapping?
He uses a controller with AA in PC, watch the live streams.. when he moves the crosshair, the movement is so smooth and straight.
Bro said he's gonna start making "some finals content on the side, but continue to play apex" and hasn't posted a single apex vid since the finals came out 💀
that game is wet dog
frame generation is the biggest fbs boost, its ridiculous
Using Sprint (Hold) gives way more control over the movement and should be used instead of Sprint (Toggle)
Are the Christmas trees supposed to be flashbangs? whenever I play they are literally the sun incarnate on the map.
Same here, I think we have to wait till amd updates their drivers and/or the devs fix it. I fresh installed my drivers but the trees are still horrendous.
so thats why i was lagging with a intel i3
“I have received a lot of questions on how to setup my crosshair so I’m gonna show you” you didn’t show us how to setup the crosshair lol
my 1650 is still showing at the most 45fps at lowest settings, any suggestions? i have to admit, apex is still way more optimized.
get better cpu, playing with a gtx 970 and 5800x3d and get stable 80 fps
@@B0ne0ne intel i7 10th gen, forgot to mention
@@B0ne0ne Dude that answer is straight up garbage
6:56 hey, why would you disable Hardware-accelerated GPU schedueling ? On paper that does not sound like something you want to turn off ^^' (I have a 3090 with 24Go of VRam)
Thanks for this tutorial
cause high end gpus dont really need it on like u since you got a 3090 its more for the older weaker ones to get extra frames (he got a 4090
@@VIVIXXXXXXX oh ok, I thought what it does is that it precisely uses the GPU to help carry some load off the CPU, sending tasks usually taken care of by the CPU to the GPU to ease the CPU. So I thought it was cool to turn on if you have a good graph card and turn off if you have an older one
Do I want higher fps or lower fps?
Higher
What if a light player place a c4 charge on to a heavy rpg wouldnt that be a bigger nuke??
Where did u get that animated wall paper
The takeaway is that if you don't have like 3k to spend on a top of the line pc then don't bother with wanting even semi stable framerate.
Setting suggestions for my 970? 🥲🥲
When I use the sharpen settings, my game looks really grainy, any suggestions?
I also disable control flow guard on The Finals.
nooo wtf, why? thats danger, and not relevant turned off for gaming
@@xBaxinix Causes some instability for dx12 games and I set it program specific for The Finals discovery because last time I checked i'm not running malware on it.
Can sharpen be used on amd?
What are your pc specs?
If I had a 4070 couldn’t I technically run everything really well and be fine with higher ish graphics even max would run well but obviously you would not want that because it would be harder to see people
And this video shows why pc has such a big advantage versus console. That's before we discuss the blatant advantages of kbnm v controller...
Half these settings are unavailable on console. End forced pc console crossplay.
6:40 1. He has added the wrong exe file. The actual exe the game runs on is deeper in the game files as you can see if you go to the details tab through the task manager and open the ACTUAL exe file. 2. These performance optimizations DO NOT increase performance. They are only effective when you have integrated graphics from your cpu so you have control over which graphics chip your pc/laptop uses during a game. Just to let everyone know it doesn't benefit 100% of users
its probably just my system but i run a high end pc and these really ruined my frames and input lag
Got 20 fps more on game mode which for some reason was off, even though last I checked it was on. I play all epic settings and rtx at medium and I get 108-114 fps
Do you recommend using stretched resolution? I think it increases your FPS and makes you aim better since the hitbox seems to be bigger. What do you think?
yes of course, hes mentioned in the video...
i use stretched res and it does increase my fps, would reccomend
Stretched resolution makes hitboxes look bigger and gives more fps, but also introduces minor input lag, most don’t notice it though
@@JLLullaby no, no introduce any input lag thats not makes sense
No just use DLSS ultra performance. It lowers your res and scales it up for you get the fps benefits but it’s not stretched
As a console player i find the game much more enjoyable with crossplay off.
Nah this shi actually works thanks big dog
And how many frames is good frames
Only high fps in practice range but in game fps stays at 70
i love the finals
u have a 1060 ?
HOW DO YOU FIX THE KEYBINDS FROM RESETING EVERY FREAKING GAME~!!?!!?!?! PLEASE HELP!!!!
Do not turn vsync off if you have horrible screen tearing pls (does not apply to ottr)
bro, g sync and freesync exist
It adds input lag. I’d rather take the screen tearing
You bro I have 1660s and i7 8700 and my fream is 60-50

im using 1024x768 at 144hz and resoluition scaling at 40 on my potato 980 + 4690k just to make moivement feel smooth and good lol
On ps5, for me atleast, motion blur makes the game feel a lot smoother.
well yeah it blurs the screen, not actually increasing frames

Maybe for ranked but for normal play this just makes the game look fugly and less enjoyable
Why can you change graphics on pc but not xbox?
My poor series s is struggling being stuck on these stupid high graphics.

Why is it so slow turning ?
Nice tipps I did also a Video about the best in Game and out Game settings :)

How do I turn on 120hz on console
On my Laptop this all was already activated xD
Can anyone please tell me if there is a mic indicator that shows it working? Nobody on this game talks so I wouldn’t know if mine is actually working
on the middle right side of the screen when you talk
Yeah lately my mic isn’t working on the finals. I had a few teammates talk but seems like less people are talking now, maybe because they can’t?
I got into a game with you today
