The piece was released. It's on "Frank Zappa Meets The Mothers Of Prevention" It's called "What's New In Baltimore"
The term “ahead of his or her time” gets thrown around a lot. Zappa will always be a subject to study. He’s one of the most important American composers ever.
I was fortunate to be at that show Haloween N.Y.
Yes, you came to my notion when I first got into Zappa. I was amazed how versatile he was, how rich in ideas, on micro and macro level, and that all those ideas in one single song are a matterial big enough for a series of albums. Thank you for the reaction!
I loved this documentary made by a Dutch Television about Zappa, he was unique, versatile as a multinstrumentist man, a great composer, excellent guitarrist a genious. I don't know so much about his son's career but he learned from the best master, maybe he's more well known in the USA but very talented and handsome(I'm sorry). I love Frank Zappa as a person and musician, I've got some albums of him although they are really from my father's, thanks Rory for remember us Zappa👏🏻🎸👌🤗
The documentary closes with ZPZ playing Sofa
I was at the Zappa Universe concerts in 92 , Moon and Dweezil had to announce Franks was too sick to attend
Anyway Steve Vai played sofa at that concert and won a grammy for his performance
What New in Baltimore is amazing track the written part is outstanding but then Frank plays a solo ; this you have to hear
I'm sure he has heard it - he just forgot about it.
@@Grithron2 possibly
The recorded version is quite different and percussion heavy and had one of my favorite solos
