@WaitingAtDeathsDoor I haven't played in a while but if I remember right...after the absorption gate (the first time) go to grand chokmah and hug around the buildings for a scene about guys phobia. Then I think after your second time (no cut off) go to keterburge bay for a scene. THEN go to chesedonia bar and talk to the man at the counter if it doesn't have a cutscene immidiatly. I think that's it I could be wrong.
@partypug0 Fun fact, the voice actor for Guy also plays Ichigo from Bleach, Lelouch from Code Geauss, Zero in Marvel vs Capcom 3 and more. Just search Johnny Yong Bosch.

Yeah, I started think about FFVII too when they said some things about the Sephiroth.
