Video of the event shows him being brought back by Giorgia Meloni, the Right-wing Italian prime minister.
Asked in Puglia, Italy, where he is attending the G7 summit, about whether Mr Biden was ok, Mr Sunak replied: “Yes. He went to go and talk to the pilot, one of the parachute jumpers."

President Biden was looking at a paratrooper who had landed nearby and was about to approach that individual when he was asked to have a picture taken with the group and the paratrooper who had been assigned to be in that picture.
Far from being an example Biden’s lack of attention, it was actually an example of his attentiveness to others.
Maybe when we are presented with these kinds of clips, instead of being led to false assumptions, we can remember that we’re not seeing the full picture.

I don't know what everyone saw in this video to justify talking behind someone's back. I don't understand all this pent-up anger. I watched this video, and from what I saw, I feel compelled to defend the president. He was the only one who showed genuine interest in the paratroopers from the outset. He observed them meticulously from the beginning to the end. Upon their landing, he gave them a thumbs up, indicating his pride in their performance. The others were preoccupied with discussing a group photo, while he found the military display far more engaging, as a real American would. As evidenced in the video, he saluted the military officer with respect, whereas the others merely shook his hand. I see nothing wrong with this, it’s his passion. Let him do what he wants.
