      True. Separate discussion. For your life, what current QB do you want throwing a pass?
      Most would put at least 1 or 2 of the following ahead of him. Mahomes, Stafford, Allen.
      Although that is a separate discussion, that is what’s on the mind of those saying Lamar isn’t the MVP.

    You can't keep talking about Lamar's numbers last season without mentioning the fact that they were kind of low do to the fact that the Ravens were blowing people out so Lamar sat out the fourth quarter of four games and didn't play in the last game of the season..

      Then do the same for the Bills and Josh Allen this year lmao. Allen has sat 5 more quarters than Lamar. Their gap in stats is literally that 1 game’s worth of quarters difference. The only stats Lamar leads in that actually have a marginal gap, is completion percentage and passer rating. Allen makes up for the passer rating gap with a higher QBR and higher EPA than Lamar, and the passer rating difference is that Allen’s receivers are the 2nd worst in the league in separation while Lamar’s are the best.

    • @huntermorris7421

      5 more quarters??? Thats a flat out lie. Anyways, yards per attempt and EPA isn't even close. He also has sat 3 quarters, all of which during blowouts. Allen got benched in the Ravens vs Bills game so we can say there is 1 quarter difference between the two. You think Allen is throwing for more TDs, less picks, and another 500 yards in that singular quarter? Didn't think so

    The stat nobody talks about, this year and last. Compare total attempts. Allen has 164 more attempts, which is an additional 5.9 games worth more attempts than Lamar. If you extrapolate out the TDs and yards it ISN'T close. Add 15.9 TDs and 1467 total yards. Lamar is SUPER effecient. That's "value."

    • @skinnymelo
      @skinnymelo 18 дней назад +10

      LMFAOOOO. Allen has sat out 5 more quarters than Lamar. If he played those 5 quarters he would close the passing yard gap and lead Lamar in touchdowns because that gap is so small yet media is making it seem like Lamar is drastically leading statistically when that’s not the case. Allen having more attempts literally means he is more valuable to his team and that Lamar’s team can win off the back of Henry.

Lamar has the most rushing yards for a QB in a season, AND in a career (and did it in 41 less games). He also has 4 perfect passer ratings (including the one from this season), tied for most with Big Ben. Allen has 1. Lamar beats Allen in literally every statistical category this season minus rushing TDs, most of which were tush pushes, yet Allen is better? Both qbs have top tier stats, Allen is 1 pt behind jackson in qbr despite getting less snaps as his team has done better and he's been pulled from more games. The ravens have a better team which means lamar has more help, Henry alone, a future hall of fame rb nearing 2k yards is all I have to say there, the bills have nothing close to that helping Allen. Despite that, the Bills have the better record, they are the 2nd seed in the AFC and have only lost to 3 division leaders, the ravens, the texans and the rams, all on the road, while jackson has lost to the browns and raiders. Allen has had a ton of season highlights, like the 4th and 2 20plus yard td run against the chiefs to end their undefeated run, setting a record of being the only qb to catch, throw and run for a td in a game and setting the record as the only player to score 3tds rushing and passing in a game.

    Josh Allen has SIX games where he threw for 182yds or fewer. The Bills are 4 and 2 in those match ups.
    Lamar has four similar where he threw for 182yds or fewer- all resulting in wins. But here is the difference…
    If we set aside the two losses and only look at the four games won by Josh (to make an even comparison to Lamar), Josh only accounted for multiple TDs in two of those games (2TDs vs the 49ers and 3TDs vs the Jets this past weekend). In the other two games, Josh only scored once- including in the blowout win vs the Dolphins (31-10).
    On the other hand- In the four games where Lamar threw for 182yds or fewer, all four resulting in wins, Lamar accounted for THREE touchdowns in 3 of those matchups and two in the other (against Dallas). My point…
    If we are going to talk about value, one has to consider the Bill’s continued success despite the lack of production from Allen. The Ravens clearly go as number 8 goes. And based on these numbers combined with his overall stats and the eye test, one can clearly see that he has not only been The Most Valuable- he has been the most efficient!

    • @philblack3756
      @philblack3756 17 дней назад +1

      @ 1. That has nothing to do with the argument I just laid out.
      2. Prior to the season starting, EVERYONE said that the Ravens would take a step back because (1) they didn’t know what version of Henry they would get because of age, wear and tear, (2) the Ravens are always at the top in rushing so the acquisition would be a push and (3) they lost several defensive starters and the D coordinator.
      Don’t try to change the narrative now because you see them being successful together. Also, for the first 6 years of their careers Josh Allen had better receivers and an overall better roster than Lamar (except defense in a couple years)… he got NO EXCUSES during those years. So STOP trying to give Allen one.

    The MVP race isn't a race, it's a matter of people putting projections out there and being wrong. They said lamar was a running back and Allen was neck and neck with mahomes. One contestant is about to make history while the other is vouching for sympathy awards. Cut the BS, SOS (strength of schedule) matters. Imagine the bills record this year if they played the steelers, bengals and browns tiwce along with the commanders, texans, chiefs, eagles, broncos, chargers - that alone 5 losses doesn't sound bad the AFC least has never been good. Because the voters said Allen didn't have nobody before the szn started the expectation was STILL the bills are getting out of the AFC lol. 1. Lamar has beaten Allen h2h and is beating him in passing tds, qbr, passer rating, rushing yards, passing yards, total touchdowns all while having lower interception count with a higher passer count than josh, while josh beats him in rushing touchdowns and having the advantage of 2 things only (skin tone and 13 secs game clock chiefs game he lost). I'm still trying to wrap my head around how Allen has been the front runner for 3 weeks now when he hasn't done ANYTHING spectatacular stats wise or team wise, The chiefs lost 1 game! He went 9/30 and had the worst game this year by any QB BY FAR. At no point in the last 4 years had Josh been spectacular yardage is fine and dandy but are you gonna count all them interceptions that come with it? We are trying to force someone into elite status that just isn't there yet and its okay, just stop trying to act like he's something he isn't. He went 4306 yards 29 pass td 18 int 15 rush td last year 2022 - 4283 yards 35 pass td 14 int 7 rush td, 2021- 4407 yards 36 pass 15 int 6 rush td and 2020 4544 yards 37 pass td 10 int 8 rush td. His team has never clinched the 1 seed, Aaron Rodgers obliterated his stats in 2020-2021 having less than 6 ints both times while putting up better numbers and better team record- do not blame lamar for literally demolishing every great opponent last year and being a surgeon in the backfield. Two things are true and imma stop typing, 1. People hate lamar for being black and overcoming odds, and 2) People know Josh will never eclipse lamar if he wins another MVP. You even had this one chick say he wasn't "quarterbacky" enough but is about to have over 40 passing touchdowns and less than 4 interceptions, oh wait add 900 rush yards to it as well.. if that's not the MVP you are outta your damn mind. DO a blind stat side by side without showing the name or team with team record and everyone would vote Lamar. Notice how it’s now “Total Touchdowns - Turnovers” VS “Passing touchdowns- interceptions “ because we know anyone with 2 eyes would know 39-4 with the 2nd highest passer rating EVER and top 3 QBR in the NFL is more impressive than 28-6 with 7 -5 yard rushing touchdowns along with 4 rushing touchdowns. Just let me know where Josh has had a better MVP season than lamar, I'm seriously waiting, one more thing ask yourself if the roles were reversed and Allen had Lamar numbers would ya'll cape for Lamar being the MVP? Or would you be real with yourself and tip your hat to Josh Allen. I rest my case

      Lamar has exceeded all expectations because people didn’t see him as a good enough qb. Y’all act like Josh Allen and pat were always on the same lvl he was disappointing early on. Lamar wasn’t the best Qb statistically last year but still won because he had a great team record and better team. Josh has done pretty good with less talent and with players leaving. The MVP isn’t just stats if it was Lamar would’ve been in the lead. Lamar wasn’t the best passer he evolve, he was already a dynamic runner and he got even better. Lamar should be in considered because he is very valuable to the ravens but let’s not act like they don’t have a talented roster primarily offensively. Strength of schedule matters less unless you’re still winning a lot. Head to head is more lenient earlier because chemistry is still forming but won’t be too mad if you include that. The race card isn’t moving forward because he alr got 2 mvps possible a 3rd all he needs is a ring. Yeah Lamar was mostly unfairly and some fairly criticized. Mahomes will be the face of the nfl for a bit, the next golden boy, but he’s not black enough apparently. Plus the rise of other black qb’s but I’ll leave it at that. If Josh and Lamar switched places yeah I’m sure there would be few hypocrites. That all falls flat though because that was literally last season if it was stats Dak could have won mvp, but Lamar was more valuable overall. The Josh hate is stupid for yall to have your race wars. Josh needs to get a damn ring too. Besides that Josh is elite whether you like it or not, him and Lamar have been close to each other’s level for a few years now.

      @@jordanwilliams9222 you said a whole bunch of nothing just then. Almost should’ve just never responded. I gave you numbers and you gave me insignificant talking points that doesn’t matter. The facts are and about the only thing you said right was that the JA narrative was he him and Mahomes being neck and neck. Dak didn’t win last year Because he didn’t lock up the 1 seed in the NFC. Lamar did. His stats weren’t that impressive either, we’ve seen it before and his team was mediocre, Lamar has 39-4 , 43-4 if you include rushing. That’s historic with 1 game left and a possible 1K rushing yards along with it … that shit ain’t close gang. While playing better, while having MVP moments.. and these weapons yall speak upon, were they there last year, the year before or before that? All of a sudden he has the best weapons in the league right and he didn’t make them better? They just were already made men eh. Nobody said give Lamar diggs, and the #1 defense that Allen has had for 3 years and fell short. Lamar won MVPs with shitty team’s offensively. An offense solely predicated on him putting the team on his back passing + running. JA does one season where his RB is second in touchdowns, he has 7 touchdowns under 5 yards and y’all just act like shakir, Kincaid and Coleman who was a first rounder are just some bust?😂 don’t forget Amari Cooper. This wouldn’t be an argument if Allen locked up the 1 seed.. I would say cool. His MVP case is just like Lamar’s last year. But he didn’t lock shit up, Lamar has better numbers. A historic QBR + Passer rating, A higher TD-INT ratio, beat him h2h and if y’all wanna say that doesn’t matter because it was early, then you can’t say that Lamar’s (Likely half an inch on the white line) loss to Mahomes is invalid. That was the first game of the szn buddy? They didn’t even know how to utilize Henry and had a trash ass defense for the first 8 games of the szn 😂. Not to mention Justin Tucker losing 2 games back to back missing field goals. All I’m saying is Allen hasn’t been impressive based on those premises and nobody has told me otherwise. Ok? This man had a game in the snow? Where he caught a pass ok wow beautiful.. still equates to one win on the scale. Beat Mahomes coming off a grueling game before and a lions team who defense was dismantled then got handled by my Rams the next game. He’s cool but let’s not forget the AFC teams he’s played and once again switch the schedules and the bills are looking like the bengals right now.

      @ imma stop you I’m didn’t read all that and I’m not gonna respond with an essay again lol. You said you’re right so you’re right you laid down the important and unimportant stats so you got it. Since he’s playing at constant mvp levels I won’t say I hope he wins a ring I expect it. I get comparing stats and strength of schedule and moments, but you obviously have a heavy bias downplaying Josh Allen “snow game” like people didn’t rave about Lamar killing the Texans. I just don’t mind either winning, but do you.

    You can have CO MVP and there is precedent for both QB/RB - 1997 Barry Sanders & Brett Favre, along with QB/QB - 2003 Peyton Manning & Steve McNair. There’s no need for a singular mvp this year when Lamar, Josh, and Saquon have reached new heights athletically, statistically and in regards to the narrative. This would be the one season to allow a Co MVP.
