I have had mine for a few days now and am really liking it. Glad that Spyderco went with something so unique and different than their usual. Taichung quality is excellent and you are right, the ergos are deceptively good. It just fits right into your hand so well. It is really well done.
Kingdom Armory. 🤜🤛⚔️ I haven’t been able to get my hands on one of Dave and Emily’s customs, but they are next level. They collabed with Spyderco on this.
I love the aesthetics of it AND it’s got that flat head on the top of the blade towards the front. Its a multi tool and it doesn’t even look like one. It’s friggin RAD! I’m pretty sure it would come in handy for my edc needs.
You mention that Spyderco does milled ti clips on some of their knives. I am unaware of any other Spyderco knives with such a clip. The Drunken comes close with a stamped ti clip. Love my Stovepipe that I also purchased from REC, makes me feel lucky to live in Central Ohio (one of the few things that make me feel that way lol).
When I watched the REC Report with you on it I think you might have mentioned how well The Stovepipe fit in your hand so it’s cool to see you get one for review💯
REC is absolutely awesome! GREAT guys - they are all knifegeeks and they treat their people like royalty. Cool knife - thanks for the overview! That pocket clip is a beast... Really enjoy the channel man :)
A very interesting design! I always enjoy when spyderco does these unique knives. So your wife drinks coffee black I'd sleep with one eye open that's a mark of a crazy person 😆 🤣 😂. Great video 👍
God bless Spyderco dude. I really wish they would work on perfecting a more "conventional" knife like the Paysan. Of course, what I'm about to say is subjective, but I think this thing is ugly as sin. Really wish they'd offer a wider variety of TI folders with less polarizing designs, but, as an enthusiast, I still wish them success.
I just don’t get it. The winners (at least to me) like the Paysan, Slysz Bowie, et al. get dropped and then something like this shows up. Most of the time I really enjoy their collaborations, but this and the Subvert just didn’t tick any boxes for me. I wish them great success; you can’t fault them for not pushing the design envelope!
Haha i personally love the aesthetics of this blade. I can’t stand all the other spyderco blade shapes they don’t do it for me…but this one speaks to me for some reason
@@theknifeconnection9571 at the same time for the money I spent on a couple civivis and a Spyderco Watu, I could’ve gotten the stovepipe. I just shoot myself in the feet all the time 😂😂😂

cool looking knife but the price is just 🥴👈 for that money i can get a reate integral or a chris reeve which both are in my opinion still ahead of spydercos taichung factory.
standard spyderco “halo” model price imo. i bought a nirvana for $440 and now they’re worth like $700 so it’s gonna be a better investment than a reate because of the clout behind the brand

why is no one that reviewed it so far is bothering to show how it sits in pocket. Looks like it's very awkward. Is it too much to ask at least one knife reviewer to demonstrate? Geesh.
It soooooo doesn’t work for me. Each to his own. That thing is going to carry so damn wide. Yuck. If someone gave me one id take a grinder to that toe and re profile it. Make it “Yojimbo-esque” as you suggested.
Ok wow a $400+ utility knife!! No thank you I'd rather go to ace hardware and get a new utility knife that you can change the blades on for bout $20 and save over $400 bucks just saying..

Great vid Jake. Don't really know what to think about this folder and also these new inflated prices Spyderco just adjusted. Keep it up, good job👌👍
New? Spyderco has been going the way of benchmade for years now. I.e. Slysz bowie for $500. Butterfly tax, meet spider tax.
@@AudibleVisibIe I know. I meant staying the year with new prices.👍

I watched a video where they said the swedge hump is for secondary cutting like package opening.
420 is insane. In all honesty. But I need that pouch. I know the spydiechef is quite a bit cheaper. But it should come with one in my opinion
if you still have it, can you show how the sizing compares to the #dangerpickle? thanks! 👍
This is such a good looking knife! Really hope to get one myself soon! Thanks for the look at it!

It kind of looks like the big brother to the “McBee”. I love it, I love when Spyderco releases a less traditional looking knife.
Reminds me of Rocksteady from the Ninja Turtles.
5 mins....... until I saw the knife haha your killing me
Spydercos prices are ludicrous!
I'd consider it even at this price point, if it was a bit narrower in closed position
