Yeah... at some point spyderco can't sell the idea that all their knife designs are made solely based on ergos/function over style. This design is obviously meant to slap you in the face. As are a lot of their designs.
So tired of the tyranny of the "Just under 3 inch bladed knife" . I know that makes it legal in more countries, but screw them. It ends up making the knife too small for most people's hands to get a good grip on. And less blade means more sharpening. I like the design a lot, however I'm not paying that much money for a knife that's too small. Spyderco needs to stop its obsession with this blade length as do other manufacturers.

Edit: I gave your video a thumbs up, that's nothing to do with this knife.
I mean to be fair... Spyderco has created hundreds of knives that don't fit the "folding knife format" lol
@@metal_complex For sure. I am not a spyderco aficionado by any means. Ive a Para 3 lightweight that I put Titinium scales on, its one of 3 knives I own that aren't Swiss Army Knifes. I do like the Para style of knife but they aren't pretty but they are very strong and sharp.
I really wouldn't have a use for that style of blade. I've a Kukri if I need something like that.
Spyderco msrp $600 and retail $420 ? Spyderco is turning into a freaking joke ! I have a bunch of pm2’s and 3’s . Watching them go up in price and down in quality is sad.
600 dollars for a Tiawan made knife ?
$420*
Whaaaattttt!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just like almost every other brand out there, they are WAY over priced. The mark up on these is probably more than 100%. When manufacturers get more realistic with prices versus wages then I may buy another knife.
Way too expensive (as many Spydercos are)
400 god damned american dollars and they couldn't put in a lockbar insert?? Man I don't get this knife and its price at all.
I have to say that this is beginning to look less ugly than when I first saw it. On the ugly scale of 0 (Fugly) and 10 (Beautiful), this now rates for me at about 2.5, where as it was a 0 when I first saw it.
Is that a sheepdog?
Spyderco consistently puts out the ugliest knives on the planet... I own a few of their knives and don't really get the appeal.
Nice knife, but not my jam.
Not one I understand at all. I guess personal preference is a huge thing here, cuz I find this one absolutely hideous.
