Aotearoa/NZ got ten golds, and I think that’s a record for us. That said, our population is up over five million these days. We hit about 270k people per medal, when you look at total medals. Not bad for a Pacific Island nation.

If you try to understand what Raygun was doing rather than judging her literally educated decision to do what she did it's not that funny and people are making it a rude joke, but I think she's big enough to handle it. When you get a doctorate in dance you can judge someone trying to push boundaries in then your field of work, but I think in general people just didn't understand what she was trying to do because it wasn't traditional. Fallon if you had her consent, cool, otherwise don't spread the disease of not understanding with a quip. You are better than that, comedy doesn't mean you have to be a bully.

What I would love to see is medal's won pro rated to each countries population.
Every country should be proud of their athletes making it to the Olympics. The medaling is just a recognition of their ranking within the event.
