@@BiblicalBinitarianListen brother I appreciate your dedication to finding the truth but the Godhead isn’t 2 persons. The Holy Spirit is clearly God.
“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭26‬ ‭
So Jesus addressed the Spirit as he, giving the Holy Spirit its own identity but yet it proceeds from the Father. Thus it is God. Not convinced? I’ll bring you to the Book of Job
“The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”
      ‭‭Job‬ ‭33‬:‭4‬ ‭
So we clearly see that the Holy Spirit played a part in creation - he made humans just as The Almighty and The Christ did.
      Further proof of the trinity:
Now since you only believe in two persons in the God head you must know that the figure in the old testament “the Angel of The Lord” that is clearly pre-incarnate Jesus is God.
      Now look at this:
“For he said, “Surely they are my people, children who will not deal falsely.” And he became their Savior (Father). In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them (Son); in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit (3rd Person of the trinity); therefore he turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them.”
      ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭63‬:‭8‬-‭10‬
      Need I say more?

Would you consider giving me a fair hearing from the Scriptures?
Let me know if the Bible explicitly teaches threefold love of the Father for the Spirit and the Son. We believe that the Son is fully divine and has always been the Father's beloved Son. But what verse teaches directly that there is threefold love between three divine persons?

Thankfully, binartarism is not a popular view among people today. It grieves my spirit that one would think the Holy Spirit is just another name of Jesus. The claim is based on the misreading of a passage in the non-canonical “The Shepherd of Hermas”
A better way to understand Romans 8:9 is that the Holy Spirit is called the “Spirit of Christ” because He is sent by Christ (John 15:26), He testifies of Christ (John 15:26), He comes in the name of Christ (John 14:26), and He seals believers in Christ (Ephesians 1:13). The fact that the Son sends the Spirit from the Father shows that all three Persons of the Trinity are distinct.

    • @BiblicalBinitarian
      @BiblicalBinitarian  Год назад +11

Hello. Thanks for posting your comment.
You may not be aware, but I spent many years assuming this about the word one in Deuteronomy 6:4.
Others have attempted to argue that since there are a few instances where the Hebrew word **echad** can refer to a compound unity (see Genesis 2:4), this is what it **must** mean in Deut. 6:4. Aside from being not a solid argument, what most of them miss is that all of the few places where echad **must** mean compound unity actually explicitly state what is being united (e.g., the two shall become one).
Deuteronomy does not include language like that. Amazingly, none of the verses of God's Word (Hebrew or Greek) contains a statement like "the three are one" applying to the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. Ironically, we have a few that say that the Father and Son are united as one (John 10:30, John 17:11, 17:21 17:22-23). This is one of several well-known differences. This is an example of how to rightly handle the Word of truth.
The Trinity requires more proof. I would be interested in your comments on the following video. It is challenging. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello, This would explain why that God is All 3(Godhead) Jesus Is God!!
People assume its a Catholic doctrine that perceive us Christians follow but totally do not. Catholics are false religion with their work base salvation, idol worshiping, and Jesus dead on the cross in their churches and so much more. Jehovah witness also believes that Jesus is not God, Jews to denied Jesus Christ was their Messiah, and Islam their false God saying Jesus was just a prophet and etc.
I am a born again Christian who reads KJV scriptures that tells us God is one God with 3 persons in
      1John5:7-8
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
(Vs 7 is the witness of God in Heaven =Father, Word,& Spirit are One)
(Vs 8 is the witness of Man on Earth=Spirit,Water&Blood are ONE)
(Vs 9John is talking about the 2 witness )
The cult modern bibles today take the Verse 7 out of their bibles for it not to make sense and to call the trinity believers theorists.
Its like saying Rapture is not in the bible where we know there is a (Greek translation harpazo a snatching away)
Or the commandment of God A sin not forgivable..Blaspheming the Holy Ghost(God/Jesus)
More proof God is 3 person(3 Parts)
      Hebrews1:1-3(God The father a person)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
      God The Father
      2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
(God and son Jesus whom also He(Jesus)made the worlds)
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
(Jesus Christ is the expressed image of the person GOD the Father)
      2 Cort2:10 (Jesus Christ is a Person)
10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; (God in the person of Christ)
      John 14:16&26(Holy Spirit is a person"HE")
      John 14:
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;(HE=GOD)
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Acts5(The Holy Ghost Is God)when Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost) Ananias lied to God
1John5:20(JESUS CHRIST IS THE TRUE GOD)
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. "Yeshua is the true God"
      1Tim3:16(Jesus Is God)
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
The Godhead has been one of the most complex understanding for Many (cults of modern bibles and unbelievers of Jesus The Messiah)
Many people can't figure out how God can be 3 Separate persons when he is ONE and only ONE true God.
Its impossible to Figure out how God can create nothing into something.
How God can feed a few loaves of bread to 5000.
God cannot be God if MAN can figure things out
God has the Greatest Power no one can understand....Thank Goodness for that
Pray this blesses you and to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for Salvation as its God Will in the New Testament in
      John 6:40
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day
      .
YHVH Means Hand of Grace Behold, Nails of Grace Behold YHVH translates to Hallelujah
      God Will in New testament
      John 6:40
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Let me know specifically if the Bible explicitly teaches threefold love of the Father for the Spirit and the Son. We believe that the Son is fully divine and has always been the Father's beloved Son. But what verse teaches directly that there is threefold love between three divine persons?

God began with two united as one, "So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate" (Matthew 19:6).
The Father and the Son ate two fully divine heads, and, together, they made two humans, both in their image.

@luqmanhakim867 Thanks for posting. Actually, I have read and reread the Quran (an English interpretation).
I have a question for you.
Is there a Surah in the Quran that refers to any other prophet as a Messiah (anointed one)? For example, in the Bible, kings and priests were anointed with oil. Who anointed Muhammad or the other prophets in the Quran with oil?
There are hundreds of prophecies about the Messiah (the Anointed) King in the Jewish writings preserved for centuries before Jesus was born. I assume you have heard about the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, over 600 scrolls, and fragments dated from 200 B.C. to 100 A.D. Many are not aware of the historical confidence we have about what was written before Jesus was even born.
An example of an amazing prophecy that predates Christ by 500 years, preserved and verified, is Daniel 9. It included the expected time frame when the Anointed One will come and explicitly states that He will be put to death (Daniel 9:26). That's an example of an amazingly supernatural prophecy before Christ.
      NIV
9:24 “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.
25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him."

@InspiringPhilosophy has a great set of videos on the Trinity.
I think it’s better to take a wholistic approach to the Trinity. Most “charts” I’m seeing here either do not encompass the full scope (I.e. all scripture covering this topic), or include inaccurate aspects of what is being discussed (I.e. including the Holy Spirit in a passage when He is not being discussed). Note: the New Testament is mostly concerned with establishing Jesus as the divine messiah, as it was understood that God is the Holy Spirit also.
Since it seems as though Jesus’ divinity isn’t in question, the following passages help to support the Holy Spirit as God:
    First, establishing the Holy Spirit - Genesis 1: 2, 1 Samuel 10:10, Acts 2:4-18, Exodus 31:3, Numbers 24:2, Judges 3:10, 1 Samuel 19:20, Romans 8:9.
Second, establishing the Holy Spirit is sent and distinct from God the Father - Isaiah 63:11-12, Ezekiel 11:5, Psalm 104:30.
Thirdly, the Holy Spirit is God - 2 Samuel 23:2-3 (not that the Holy Spirit is speaking from God, but that God is speaking), Job 33:4, Isaiah 48:16 (“…From the time it took place, I was there. And now the Lord God has sent me, and His Spirit.”)
This is only the tip of the iceberg of evidence, and if you want to directly object to the Trinity - you need to make a cumulative case using all scripture. Not to mention, the Historical Jewish / Rabbinical understanding, and modern scholarly support to back up the Trinity as being understood over the centuries.

Matthew 11:25-27 and 2 Corinthians 3:14-18 are negations (actually double negations) of critical Trinitarian claims. That Nicolatians doctrine of men.
🗡THE ADDED TRINITY HERESY OF JOHN 5
THE TRUTH IN THE ORIGINAL GREEK! ❤
1 John 5:6-8 Greek Orinlginal Version
6 This is he that came by water and blood, Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by water and blood, and the Spirit beareth witness, because the spirit is truth.
✅️7These three they are for the witnessing, 8 the spirit, the water, and the blood, and these three agree in one.✅️
🔥When he was nailed to the cross the water and the blood that leaked from his side when he was pierced by the spear was for a witness of the truth, and the Spirit of truth that came over those who saw and knew right away from His teachings of blood and water prophecy of psalms 22 is a witness in itself.🔥
      John 19:34-35 KJV
34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
🔥Come out of Nicolatians/Nicaean Council Heresy doctrines that are the seat of Satan's foundation.
The 1st beast in Revelations 13 is The Roman Empire and Roman Catholic Church, and The Second beast that rose to power after the first beast fell out of power was America and Westernized Christianity. Pointing the world back to worshipping the first beast, Nicaean/Nicolatians doctrines 3 in 1 Trinity Heresy.🔥
      🗡Revelation 2:15-17 KJV🗡
[15]So hast thou also them that hold THE DOCTRINE OF THE NICOLAITANS, WHICH THING I HATE.
[16]👉🏽Repent; or else👈🏿 I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. [17]He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the called ones; TO him THAT OVERCOMETH will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
The Trinity is a three part deception in itself.
The False Father - Roman Catholic Pope.
The False Son - Westernized Christianity Jesus is GOD.
      The False Holy Spirit/teacher/Prophet - Islam/Muhammad.
Roman Catholic Church Nicaean Council exalted Christ's divinity too high, so that Islam could come and bring his divinity too low. And Westernized Christianity comes along to be in comparison to Catholicism that the devil made overwhelmingly False, so that Westernized Christianity with its bae heresy would look like the truth.
      Catholic = Kool-Aid
      Westernized Christianity = Gstorade
May be less poison in it, and filled with more pure water, and eems hydrating in comparison, but it still ain't 100% pure life giving water.
Its all part of the great deception.

You can't read isolated verses of the Bible out of context like that. The Bible needs to be read in context to come to any rational conclusions about it.

God is supernatural, so the trinity is supernatural. The trinity is nothing like what the natural world has seen before. There was a 200 year period where christians were really close to God. From what they experienced, all of them concluded to the trinity. If something was originally, "The father, the son, and the holy spirit are the 3 gods of Christianity," or, "The father, the son and the holy spirit are 3 forms of God," no one in the right mind would go, "Sorry. I'm confused. Do you mean, like, the father, the son, and the holy spirit are one God in three persons?" If something doesn't make sense, chances are it's the original.@@BiblicalBinitarian

In no way does this disprove the trinity because it is based purely on a biased point system. He would argue that no verses in the Bible evidence a trinity, so all verses would be rated a 0 or -1, but I would see the trinity and rate them 1. This video does not work to prove or disprove anything.

The Trinity is literally in the Bible. The thing is people is that they don't know what the trinity is. What is the Trinity? It is not 3 Gods as 1 God. It is 3 attributes of 1 entity. What is the entity? God. What are the attributes? The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. So it is simple.

Trinity is a 3rd century concept to bring order to the Christian world. Jesus came to earth and broadcasted God's words. Here is God's quote in Duetoronomy 👇
Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Deuteronomy 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
Jesus then says he speaks from God's authority, not his. 👇
      John 14:10-11
      New International Version
10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.

The issue is: Do the Holy Scriptures teach of a Triune God or a Monoune God?
A common claim by Trinitarian Christian Missionaries is that even the Jewish Bible preaches the Trinity, even in the Shema, saying that Echad refers to a complex unity, therefore, the God of Judaism is Triune.
The problem with that is, just because the word "One" can mean either [One set of Things] or [One Individual Thing] that doesn't mean that the Echad is refering to a complex Unity of Persons.
All over the texts there is condemnation of the Idea that God can be made of parts. Therefore that interetation of "Echad" is invalid.
      Ergo, the Trinity is Invalid.

It's easy to crush the trinity teaching.
    Hebrews chapter ONE
is all about Christ Jesus being an angel in heaven and Jehovah exalting him to a higher position than all the other angels.
    AFTER reading it, ..
Can you explain verse by verse the relationship between Jehovah and his beloved Son, Christ Jesus ?
    EXAMPLES:
    ** Verse 2 -
How do you become an HEIR to yourself ?
    ** Verse 3 -
Did Jesus sit down on his own right hand ?
(NOBODY sits next to their self)
    ** Verse 4 -
WHO did Jesus receive an inheritance from ?
    ** Verse 9 -
    Regarding Jesus it says ..
" THY GOD hath ANNOINTED THEE With the oil of gladness above thy fellows "
( Who are Jesus fellows ? )- other angels .
The whole entirety of Hebrews chapter one,
is also proof that the teaching of the Trinity is a bunch of crap.

As a biblically committed, Trinitarian minister, I have spent 25+ years attempting to make that analogy work.
Surprisingly, most Trinitarian scholars reject the tri-part view of humans, due to solid Biblical arguments (e.g., soul in the Old Testament refers to your entire living being, in the New Testament several passages use soul and spirit as parallel synonyms, and others clearly teach body-spirit composition). See Wayne Grudems Systematic Theology for a thorough review of all the evidence.
Most importantly, is there anyone in the New Testament who makes this comparison? No one. So, you are on your own. As with many arguments for the Trinity.

Hi. Thanks for posting. Almost 30 years ago, one of the verses that convinced me of the Trinity was 1 John 5:7 (KJV).
However, I was surprised when I researched further and discovered that it is widely known that this verse is not included in John's original epistle.
Even the New King James Version notes: "Only 4 or 5 very late mss. contain these words in Greek."
      Link
      www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+john+5&version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-30632b
Additionally, Martin Luther did not include it in his translation from the Greek Text to German since it was not in the original editions of Erasmus' critical text.

There are numerous times throughout Jesus’ life when He clearly & unquestionably has direct dialogue with His Father in Heaven; along with there being numerous examples of Jesus directly interacting with the Holy Ghost; so how can this be if there is no Holy Trinity? Bottom line: Our Creator/God is “1 God” consisting of “3 Persons”.

Thanks for posting. By the way, thinking through these topics is what led me to become a Biblical Binitarian.
We believe in two fully divine royal family heads, the Father and the Son. The Father and the Son speak to each other throughout the Scriptures (even in the Old Testament - see Psalm 2 and Psalm 110).
However, I noticed that above you were unable to state that Jesus dialogued with the Holy Spirit (a third person). We believe in the reality of God's spirit; we believe in the divinity of God's spirit; we believe in the personality of God's spirit. However, we object to the claim that the Holy Spirit must be a third person, along with the Father and the Son. We believe that the Father and the Son are united as one divine spirit.

@Rose A Hi , I have been reviewing the conversation about whether GOD is one. And I do see the problem first of all unless one is fluent in Hebrew the meaning get confused in the translation of the Hebrew text. Secondly what you as well as the trinitarians are describing is someone with Dissociative identity disorder, also know as multiple personality disorder. Please read the definition I have provided for you okay.
Dissociative identity disorder is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personality identities. Each may have a unique name, personal history, and characteristics.
Dissociative identity disorder, previously called multiple personality disorder, is usually a reaction to trauma as a way to help a person avoid bad memories. Source Mayo Clinic
GOD is NOT schizophrenic okay, neither does He have a multi personality disorder.
Thirdly the reason you can’t understandThe Nature of GOD is because you are not Born Again.
JESUS CHRIST/ YEHOSHUA HAMASHIACH said in John 3:3 except you are Born Again you can NOT ‘ SEE’ The Kingdom of GOD.” That word ‘SEE’ in Hebrew is ראה and it means to perceive , or to understand. Thus Christ is saying except you are Born Again you will not be able to understand what The Kingdom of GOD is all about.
Okay my friend, once you have been born again of water and of The Spirit you won’t be able to understand. Now the instructions on how to be Born Again , is found in Acts2:38 the key man Peter tells us how!
You seem like a beautiful person and The LORD sent me here to help you as well as others on this page, to find TRUTH! Now whether you will hear or forbear is up to you.

We as humans do not grasp what or how exactly God is.
      I understand it like this.
God is almighty, omnipotent, without being or end. Divine.
Yeshua his begotten because it comes from the Father.
      Subject to the Father. Divine.
      The mediator, the word,the creator.
Hole Spirit the power that emanates from God and wills anything that Gods wants to be done.
I don’t know that it has a form as it says of the Father and Son.
So it isn’t easy to understand but I am aware that there’s each one and for my salvation I know that there’s a God YHWH his Son Yeshua and the Holy Spirit.
Rev says that there’s more things we will learn after all of this. So I pray for wisdom, endurance, holding on because we are humans.
Yes, we can not lean on our or people’s understanding I don’t push it on people because what if I’m saying something that is not so in everything I keep praying for guidance.

Notice he doesn't actually disprove the trinity, let alone even attempt to. Why? Because he can't. He can tell you how he would go about it, but he's never ac5ually disproved it himself. Just as a husband and wife become one flesh, the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit are one God. You don't have to understand how something works to know that it works. God himself said that His nature and His ways are beyond human comprehension. Notice the bible says "He is one" one has other meanings. An egg for instance is one egg. It's made up of a shell, a yolk, and the white, but it's still just 1 egg. A candy bar is mult8ple ingredients, but still one candy bar. The human body is made up of multiple cells and organs and appendages, but it's still 1 body. It's really not that hard to understand. Only an unregenerate heart and an apostate would have issues with understanding. When you say jesus isn't also God, you are denying your only hope for salvation which intern makes you an apostate. Apostasy is renouncing your faith. Our faith is that christ died for our sins and we are now forgiven. How could christ die for our sins if he was only a human? God said that humanity is fallen and corrupted. There are verses that prove Jesus has to be God. Isaiah , God said that He alone will be our savior. How are we saved? Through the death of christ. If jesus isn't God, then God didn't save us as He said. On the other hand, if jesus isn't God, but God said in isiaiah that He alone would be our salvation, then He lied by sending jesus as our salvation. Paul even says "it was jesus who led the israelites through the desert as a flame by night and a pillar of smoke by day. All of you saying jesus isn't also God, are denying your only savior and hope for salvation. This guy is a goat. A tare, leading you all astray from your Lord.😢
Last th8ng to consider: if the holy ghost isn't a person, why does jesus refer to him as a helper? Why is He considered a He? If it isn't a living person, how can He be grieved? For instance, I can't grieve my car. I can grieve my dog by teasing him with food. But I can't grieve the food by feeding it to the dog.

@BiblicalBinitarian ok. I watched it and I'm still not convinced. Here's a challenge from me to you: if the holy spirit isn't a person of the trinity, why does jesus tell us that when we are baptized, we are to do so in "the name of the father, the son, and of the Holy spirit"? Why add the holy spirit in there if its just The father and the son? Wouldn't jesus just say "baptize in the name of the father and the son"?
Part 2: the bible warns us not to grieve the Holy spirit. As far as i know, a non-living thing cannot be grieved. A non-personal thing cannot be grieved. I can't grieve a tree by cutting it down, but I can grieve my neighbor for cutting his tree down. I can't grieve my car by not putting oil in it, but I can grieve myself when the engine blows because of it.
How is it possible to grieve something that isn't alive and personal? It's not. Logically speaking.
Also, jesus calls him the helper. How can a non living thing be a helper?

The Hebrew word for "one" in Deuteronomy 6:4 is very complicated. It can mean: another into one, one and on another, unique, united, one will to another, etc. It has a lot of different meanings. However, the point is that there is a plurality which is within that Hebrew word for "one". Thus, Moses saying "One" can literally mean "many in one."

If you will read the entire chapter of that scripture, you will find that it is not about the Godhead of the Bible. When I started reading the Bible I wrote these things down as topic of my studies in the Godhead of the bible; Who is God. About God. Who is Jesus. About Jesus. What is the Holy Spirit. About the Holy Spirit. First and foremost we are instructed and warned to not add nor take away from God's word ie add ANY religious belief that has been handed down to you by any man. You find such great treasure if you will do that. Also having a Strongs Concordance you will have access to finding that God's name is not God and Jesus is not the true name of the Son of God in the NT....and innumerable pearls of truth that the author of the Bible will be revealed to you. You need no man to teach you anything, and it is our responsibility to search God' word to know if the things of the religious are true.
      Happy Studies

Are you aware that the words of 1 John 5:7 do not appear in any Greek text prior to the 10th century?
Even the *NKJV* includes a note on this verse saying, "Only 4 or 5 very late mss. contain these words in Greek."www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+John+5&version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-30632b
Their first appearance is as a side note in the margin of a 10th century manuscript. Next, they appeared in an official text in the 16th century.
Now I know that John the Apostle lived a long life, but if you believe he wrote "these three are one" you have to believe he lived to the age of 1600 and was still tweaking his 1st epistle for centuries. Maybe 1,600 years was how long it took him before he finally understood the Trinity ; )
John seemed to already believe that the Father and the Son were one from the beginning: John 10:30, John 17:11, 17:21 17:22-23.
The KJV incorrectly included 1 John 5:7 due to Erasmus' final version of his Greek text. The earlier versions of Erasmus' text did not include it because he could not find *any* Greek manuscripts that contained it.
Are you aware that even Martin Luther did not include 1 John 5:7 in his German translation of the Bible because it was not in Erasmus' first two editions?
The NET Bible notes by Trinitarians explain the late Origins of "these three are one" in 1 John 5:7

11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves
Here is God proclaiming his son, Jesus Christ👇
    Matthew 3:17
    New International Version
17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

      EDIT:
I'm at a conflict I must admit, asking God for answers..
      In the OT ,
      Zechariah 12:10
      Him Whom They Have Pierced
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn"
This passage predicts the crucifiction of Yahusha (Jesus). And God is speaking in oneness with Yahusha (Jesus) as if they're the same.
Also in 2 Peter 1:1 "Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:"
Several versions are also calling Jesus God. The Aramiac bible says "Lord and Savior".
However, in Isaiah God (Yahuah/Yahweh) states HE is the Savior
Isaiah 43:11: "Apart from Me, there is no savior"
Isaiah 12:2: "God is my savior; I will trust him and not be afraid. The LORD gives me power and strength; he is my savior"
Isaiah 49:26: "All flesh shall know that I the lord am thy Saviour"
Isaiah 45:15: "O God of Israel, the Saviour"
And Genesis 1:26, we see God starts speaking to someone for the first time
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness"
Who is God (Yahweh) speaking to? I rule out the Angels because as far as I know Angels do not have the power to create. Is Yahweh speaking to Jesus? Holy Spirit?
I'm starting to suspect Yahweh, Jesus and possibly Holy Spirit are conjoined together like Siamese twins (or triplets).
I'm looking at this as an investigator, what are your thoughts?

God is one god or person? Or does “one” mean “unity” in this quote? gotta dig a lil deeper

    • @BiblicalBinitarian
      @BiblicalBinitarian  11 месяцев назад

Hello. Actually, I did spendmany years assuming a threefold unity was possible for the Hebrew word "one" in Deuteronomy 6:4. I attempted to argue that since there are a few instances where the Hebrew word **echad** refers to a compound unity (see Genesis 2:4), then this is what it **must** have also meant in Deut. 6:4.
Aside from this not being a solid argument, what I sadly missed was that in all of the few places where echad refers to a compound unity those few passages also explicitly state what is being united (e.g., the two shall become one, night and day as one day, two sticks as one stick, all the men of Israel assembled one man, eyc.). Deuteronomy 6:4 does not include language providing specific details of a combined divine unity. Unfortunately, that must be assumed.
Amazingly, none of the authentic verses of God's Word (Hebrew or Greek) contains a statement like "the three are one" applying to the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. None.
Ironically, we have several that say that the Father and Son are united as one (John 10:30, John 17:11, 17:21 17:22-23). This is clearly one of the major differences between Biblical Binitarianism and the Trinity. Please let me know if you have any objections.

The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of Allah and the fulfilment of His Word through Mary and a spirit ˹created by a command˺ from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers and do not say, “Trinity.” Stop!-for your own good. Allah is only One God. Glory be to Him! He is far above having a son! Thanks for the response. I have read and reread the Quaran (an English interpretation). Here are a few of my questions.
Since you are convinced that you follow Jesus, the Messiah, I would ask you what you think about Jesus?
Jesus is so great that He is even described in the **Quran** like no one else:
      1) Jesus was born of a virgin
      2) Jesus is the promised messiah (the Anointed One), not just a prophet.
      3) He did a multitude of miracles. More than any other human.
      4) Jesus is the only human to live a sinless life. This is even greater than His miracles. He obeyed His God as a Son.
      5) Jesus has an entire holy book about Him (Injil). Though Muhammad never read it, he instructed Muslims to read it. In what specific Surah and Ayah did Muhammad say the Injil had been corrupted? Have you read the preserved ancient manuscripts that were around in the time of Muhammad when he spoke strongly about the Injil?
      6) Jesus has followers and is known all over the world. This is just as the Old Testament prophets said hundreds of years before His birth. He is known for His love and the gift of salvation to all nations.
      7) Jesus will return again.
Bonus: The Gospel (Injil) teaches that Jesus fulfills the prophetic words of Abraham (Torah) and King David (the Zabur) that God would provide Himself a sacrifice in the same place where Abraham prepared to offer his son. God actually fulfilled this by offering His Son for our sins.
I look forward to your responses.

As regards the doctrine of the trinity Jesus is very clear: He states to be ALWAYS in a PERMANENT EXTREMELY CLOSE UNION WITH THE FATHER "I am in the Father and the Father is in me". PERIOD! This is REITERATED by Jesus FOUR GOSPELS OF TIMES. You can see from Jesus' statements that He is ONLY WITH THE FATHER, this is even clearly SPECIFIED more times by Him (" I am not ALONE because..."). In other words JESUS - who is "WELL INFORMED" on this matter - IS NOT TRINITARIAN! We must trust Him!
The trinity doctrine comes from a poor understanding of the four gospels: it isn't understood that they disclose three divine NAMES, not three divine PERSONS! This means that those THREE names must map onto TWO divine persons. Indeed 1. God and 2. the Spirit of God (God who is a spirit) are just TWO different PERSPECTIVES of the same ONE almighty God.

“Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord God and His Spirit Have sent Me.”
    Isaiah 48:16 NKJV
To me it seems like GOD is referring to another person as GOD, the one who sends him and his SPIRIT.

    • @BiblicalBinitarian
      @BiblicalBinitarian  Год назад

      Thanks for posting. Great question.
It is my prayer to a video on this verse one day.
When I approach any passage I ask at least 5 questions.
      1) What are Trinitarians claiming and assuming a about?
      2) Are there any words from the text that need to be clarified by the original languages (Hebrew or Greek)?
      3) What does the text itself actually say?
      4) What must the text assume from the words and the context?
      5) Are there any other *strongly* related passages that provide more clarity and confirmation?
For Isaiah 48:16, let's answer these questions.
      1) Trinitarians claim that Jesus is speaking in the first person, especially in verse 16. Most assume that the reference to the LORD God is a reference to the Father. The Father is the one who sent the Son. They also assume that his spirit, the LORD God's spirit does not refer simply to the LORD God's own divine spirit, but a distinct divine person, the Holy Spirit.
Let me know if this is correct.
      2) For the text, let's look at the NET, ESV, and the NRSV, all strong translations.
      NET:
"Approach me-listen to this! From the very first I have not spoken in secret; when it happens, I am there.”
So now, the Sovereign Lord has sent me, accompanied by his Spirit.
      ESV:
Draw near to me, hear this: from the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it came to be I have been there. And now the Lord God has sent me, and his Spirit.
      NRSV:
Draw near to me; hear this! From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time it came to be I have been there.
And now the Lord God has sent me and his spirit.
There are not any major differences. The NRSV uses lowercase for spirit in the Old Testament, because the Hebrew does not require a capital or lowercase.
The ESV and NRSV translate the last line as "the Lord God has sent me and his spirit." The NET has "accompanied by his Spirit." The NET is making is emphasizing the proximity and personal closeness. The Hebrew is not as specific.
If you are good up to this point please kindly reply and I will provide my explanation of the next three points.
      Be blessed.

      Excellent.
      3) The identity of the speaker in 48:16b is inconclusive.
I believe that Isaiah 48:12-16a is the LORD God. I believe that 48:16b is Cyrus (see points #4 and #5 below).
There are two major reasons for this. First, the text does not provide a specific identification for the speaker of 48:16b. You will notice that most translations end after the quotation from 48:12 at 48:16a.
"from the time it came to be I have been there." See NIV, ESV, NET, NRSV, HCSB, etc. The NKJV and NASB include 48:16b in the entire quotation. Most people miss this point.
Everything from 48:12 - 48:16a is clearly the LORD God. But Isaiah 48:16b is an abrupt declaration of an unidentified speaker. The only two requirements are that the speaker must be someone sent by the LORD and someone whom God has given His spirit to. Cyrus, the prophesied Persian King, is all of these things, specifically called God's anointed (Isaiah 45:1):
"Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to *Cyrus* whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed."
Another example similar to this passage is Isaiah 46:8-11.
This is where context provides us with the clues.
      4) Major points about Cyrus. Most people are unaware that Isaiah 48:16b comes right at the end of an extended section about the LORD AND King Cyrus (from Isaiah 44:21 to Isaiah 48:22).
Throughout these five chapters, the LORD God repeatedly describes Himself as the one who has been speaking from the beginning. The one who laid the foundation of the earth. He is the one who will accomplish His purposes for Israel.
He also repeatedly refers to Cyrus by name as His coming "shepherd" (44:28), "His anointed" (45:1), the one He "calls by name" (45:3-4), the one He "stirred up in righteousness" (45:13), "the man of His counsel" (46:11), and "His ally" (48:14), who will accomplish His plan to end Israel's Babylonian captivity.
Therefore, all commentators acknowledge Cyrus' significance as a Persian whom God calls and names and uses to set His people free. Therefore, this is recognized as the Cyrus section of Isaiah. See also 2 Chronicles 36:22-23, the book of Ezra, and Daniel 6).
      5) When we also consider that neither the Lord Jesus nor the Apostles applied this passage to Christ, we can not conclusively do the same.
We can also note that Isaiah 48:20 is the final mention of Bablylon and Chaldea for the remainder of the book of Isaiah.Chapters 44-48 end with the LORD God saying, "Go out from Babylon, flee from Chaldea ... 'The LORD has redeemed his servant Jacob!"
      *Conclusion*
The NET Bible study notes state regarding Isaiah 48:16b, "The speaker here is not identified specifically, but he is probably Cyrus, the LORD's 'ally' mentioned in vv. 14-15."
      I agree.
Some translations and commentators (e.g., John Calvin) view 48:16b as the introduction to 48:17-19, making the prophet Isaiah the speaker.

      LOL. Good one.
But you already know that I am closer to Athanasius than I am to Arius.
I am Binitarian in the following ways:
      1. Distinct Identites of God and Christ.
      2. Full Divinity of God and Christ.
      3. The Eternity of God and Christ.
      4. The Unity of God and Christ as one spirit.
Except for #1, Arius would not hold to all of these.
I agree with Arius in only two ways.
      1. Reject complex monotheism (multiple persons in the One God).
      2. Belief in the subordinationism of the Son to the Father.

      Catholic = Kool-Aid
      Westernized Christianity = Gstorade
May be less poison in it, and filled with more pure water, and eems hydrating in comparison, but it still ain't 100% pure life giving water.

Have you ever heard a challenge to that assumption: The angel of the Lord is the Lord Jesus in the Old Testament?
Common assumptions often result in common mistakes.
For example, if Jesus is the angel of the Lord then who was the angel of the Lord in Matthew 1:20?
Second, what would be your answer to both of the questions rhetorically asked by the writer of Hebrews: "For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son, today I have begotten you” (Hebrews 1:5). And, "... And to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet” (Hebrews 1:13)? What would you respond?
There are several more. I personally believe Michael, the Archangel, is most likely the angel of the Lord. His name means Who is like God and he is called Israel's prince.
However, Jesus was never an angel of the Lord, but he has always been the image of the Lord, bearing His Fathers name and sharing His glory.

It seems you may not be familiar with what we believe as Biblical Binitarians.
We believe that both the Father and the Son have always been and will always be fully divine. They are two fully divine, royal family heads, united as one fully divine spirit. The Son came in the name of His Father (YHWH, Yahweh). Many Old Testament Yahweh passages are applied to the Son. Like the Father, Jesus is the I AM.

How about this : Just obey what Jesus said to do.
    1. Jesus stated that he did not accept the praise ( glory) from men. So praising Jesus ( although warranted) is of no value .
    2. Jesus gave us the Model prayer for a reason. He directs us to do what he himself did : pray to Our Father . God “ The Father “ of whom Jesus stated that He was “ My Father and Your Father , My God and your God” Is called “ The Hearer of Prayer”.
So , even if you really believe that Jesus IS God , you should still only give praise and prayer to that form of God that Jesus told you to give praise and prayer too. The very God that Jesus praised and directed his prayers too.

But more importantly, the verb for manifested is specifically a passive verb - was made to be manifested. This is how it is commonly applied to Jesus throughout the New Testament. He did not manifest Himself in the flesh, but He was made manifest by God.

@@BiblicalBinitarian You are not correct all through out the bible Jesus is God in his revelation.
      Revelation 1
      King James Version
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
      4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
      12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
      14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
      19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
He is clearly God. When he talks to the jews he always makes hints and refrences to that and they try to stone him.
      1 Corinthians 15
      King James Version
      15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
      3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
      Romans 3
      King James Version
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
      25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
I hope and Pray that you are Saved and that you preach the right Gospel God bless you Amen

The Greek language here indicates two things for this verse:
The Greek does not have an indefinite article to directly translate. However, for proper translation into English the indefinite article must be included.
A god is a quality. That is why some bibles say:
1808: “and the word was a god.” The New Testament in an Improved Version, Upon the Basis of Archbishop Newcome’s New Translation: With a Corrected Text.
1864: “and a god was the word.” The Emphatic Diaglott, interlinear reading, by Benjamin Wilson.
1928: “and the Word was a divine being.” La Bible du Centenaire, L’Evangile selon Jean, by Maurice Goguel.
1935: “and the Word was divine.” The Bible-An American Translation, by J. M. P. Smith and E. J. Goodspeed.
1946: “and of a divine kind was the Word.” Das Neue Testament, by Ludwig Thimme.

Thanks. I respect your attempt to defend the Trinity. I used to teach, preach, and believe similarly. I have invested time and thought in reading the early church writings. I would argue that the earliest writers were not Trinitarian (e.g. Clement of Rome, Ignatius of Antioch). I believe the Trinity was not made official until 381 AD at the council of Constantinople.
Would you consider giving me a fair hearing from the Scriptures?
Let me know specifically if the Bible explicitly teaches threefold love of the Father for the Spirit and the Son. We believe that the Son is fully divine and has always been the Father's beloved Son. But what verse teaches directly that there is threefold love between three divine persons?

If you believe in a trinity, you dont believe in a monotheistic religion. You are no different than the pagans who believe in multiple gods. Simple as that.

Thanks for the challenge. The real question is, are we to fully trust that the original words of God are not wrong (Romans 3:4). We must always pursue the original beliefs of the Word.
We take a similar approach on the manuscripts of the New Testament - the earliest copies contain less of the traditional additions that have accumulated by Christians over the centuries. We can show that over time, traditions cause people to add to the Word what they can not find in the Word.
Each of us will have to individually give an account of himself to Christ. I will not be able to point to a church council in place of God's own Word. Let me know if you first agree on this point of human history.
Please also take a look at what Biblical Binitarians believe and let me know what specifically we are claiming that is not confessed explicitly in the Bible.

    - Titus 2:13-14
13 while we wait for the blessed hope-the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
    - Both the father and Jesus claim to be I AM:
    Exodus 3:14
God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you
    John 8:58
Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am
-Both the father and the Son claim to be ALPHA & OMEGA, FIRST AND LAST YET ONE GOD
    FATHER:
Isiah 44:6: “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
‘I am the first and I am the last,
And there is no God besides Me.
    Isiah 48:12: “Listen to Me, O Jacob, even Israel whom I called;
I am He, I am the first, I am also the last.
Revelations 1:8: “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
    SON:
    Revelations 22 from verse 6:
6 The angel said to me (Angel which is lamb of God/ Jesus Christ) , “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”
7 “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”
10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. 11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”
    Epilogue: Invitation and Warning
12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
    FATHER-SON RELATIONSHIP:
    John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made
    ABOUT THE SPIRIT:
John 15:26 26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, the will bear witness about me.
    John 14:16-17
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
    John 14:26
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
    Matthew 12:31-32:
31:And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32:Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. (THE SPIRIT IS OF THE SAME NATURE OF GOD THE FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST BECAUSE SIN AND BLASPHEM CAN BE COMMITTED AGAINST THEM)
Bro, don't try to reinvent the wheel about something that the fathers have solved 1700+ years ago.

@BiblicalBinitarian I watched your whole video and can possibly understand why you’re binitarian in the first place. So the reason that Jesus talks more about the Father than the Holy Spirit is simply because of his dependence to the Father. Also I’d like to make a point that the Holy Spirit is also dependent to the Father. Another thing, some of the verses you listed didn’t really disprove the Trinity and some of them actually proved the Trinity because of Jesus talking about 3 things. Some verses in the Bible prove the Trinity too like Matthew 12:31-32 “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”
One question for you is that why would the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit be unforgivable? No other sin is like this, but this one. Also why would the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit be unforgivable while blasphemy against the Son is not. This would mean that the Holy Spirit is divine and is God because why would the blasphemy against Him include a great punishment? There is also Acts 5:3-4 that has Peter talking to Ananias saying he lied to the Holy Spirit and then saying he lied to God. If you say that he lied to both of them at the same time that would basically imply the Trinity.
I pray for you to believe in the Holy Spirit because binitarianism is a dangerous heresy. 🙏✝️
