@@josephsan2096 yes I would prefer it. The definition of apron is a small area next to a larger area. The large area being the airfield.
@@josephsan2096actually apron is the same term as ramp, but they use apron in Europe. Tarmac is just sloppy journalism.

Better have a different administration because they had 3 strikes already with Uremia , Bonobos and Syria “red line” OBAMAS famous words.. Just because POTUS changed doesn’t mean staff will gain different results. Elections have consequences. Inflation and instability comes with bad policies.

Pilot here. Not gonna lie the CDF at ORD is usually a mess to put it kindly. Sure, it gets us off the gate but we just end up waiting at the CDF at the end of the day. I have yet to see anyone get through the CDF in under 30mins. Getting di-iced at the gate is typically faster. But I like the idea... if that counts for anything...

No.. there were a lot of bad decisions involved in that crash. De icing was always going to move away from the gates at ohare. Just more efficient that way along with the fact hold over times aren’t really an issue then

Fun fact for you: propylene glycol (the stuff they are spraying on the plane) can be found as a food additive in drink mixes, dressings, dried soups, cake mix, soft drinks, popcorn, food coloring, fast foods, bread and dairy products. Due to its chemical properties, it is also found in a wide variety of hygiene and cosmetic products. Additionally, it is used in industrial products like paint, antifreeze, artificial smoke and e-cigarettes. So really its not all that toxic, however in large amounts eaten in a short time it would be considered toxic. And one more thing water treatment plants are completely capable of removing propylene glycol

Also how does it go back into the water if there are no drains???
@@ninjaman3448 it will eventually make it to the water treatment plants or it will run off into the ground and be filtered by the dirt and grass then the water will make it down to the ground water.
@@tristen8089 it also may be evaporated before that especially since it’s on a relatively flat surface. You have a very valid point though
