I bought my son a Honda Ruckus for his graduation present and he has been studying away for the summer. I rode it to keep the battery up and realized just how darn much fun it was. Now I am taking it on errands all the time! But I need something a little more than 50cc. Your town is like from a picture postcard, just amazing. Cheers from USA.

The BWS has a very big cult following here in Taiwan. There are a few clubs where they modify them to be used off road. Here they are called the Corolla of scooters. The model I have is a 2012. My display is very different from yours. On mine the only mods I did were on the CVT. Now I can get up to 115kmph. The other mod that is popular here is converting the engine to 155cc with a water cooling system. This costs about 20,000NTD (around 530£). New the BWS sells for 87,000NTD ( around 2300£). Second hand models from 2010 to 2017 around 26,000NTD (around 690£). But, the new generation 2020, 21 22 and 23. Are not as popular at the pre-2019 models. The 125cc are more or less indestructible. The one I have I bought new in 2012 and as of today there is over 90,000km on the odometer. This generation of BWS did have a fault with some of the electronic displays. You have the analogue one, which was never available in Taiwan or Japan or rather it was on the first generation 50cc version. But here they stopped using it in 2006. Mines I've ridden on the beach, going through salt water, raced it, rode around Taiwan in under 24 hours only stopping for fuel. And it rides the same as it did when I bought it new. Only things I have changed on it besides the mods to the CVT are better suspension, exhaust, better front brakes, and that was it. Along with changing the oil every 1000km and the CVT oil every 2000km.

Scooters are mega popular across the world - but not so much in Canada - and it's likely our weather that keeps people from owning them - you could really only use them a short time of the year. I wouldn't mind renting one and touring in a country where they are popular. Great review and ride!
Your absolutely right, it's the same hear in the UK, but slowly things are changing as costs of fuel and vehicle rise, people are forced to look at alternatives, plus they are so cool to ride 👍
