- The Boeing E-4 Advanced Airborne Command Post (AACP), the current "Nightwatch" aircraft, is a strategic command and control military aircraft operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). The E-4 series are specially modified from the Boeing 747-200B for the National Emergency Airborne Command Post (NEACP) program.
The E-4 serves as a survivable mobile command post for the National Command Authority, namely the President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense, and successors. The four E-4Bs are operated by the 1st Airborne Command and Control Squadron of the 595th Command and Control Group located at Offutt Air Force Base, near Omaha, Nebraska. An E-4B when in action is denoted a "National Airborne Operations Center".
Just the fact they're showing this tells me they have something newer and better in the air already.
Yup
I like your rationalization 🙊🙉🙈😀
Sir, I think you must be absolutely right about that. Same thing with the blackbirds, would be my guess.
Nope. By design, it looks old, but that is intentional - it has to survive an EMP/HEMP blast of at least 100,000v/M. More old school knobs and switches won't burn during an EMP, while micro-electronic switches will (I'm guessing, but probably any wire will burn over 22 AWG).
Well it’s just landed at mildenhall England
My first adult job was working as an assembler installer at e-systems in Greenville TX. I worked on tables and equipment racks that went into the E-4B.
Me too!!!...I worked there in the late 80s and early 90s as a Systems Mechanic but I started where you were at under Juan Avalos and moved outside. Wow!
Cool
Wow! That had to be extremely exciting to build tables and shelves

Fairly, that's funny! It's about the exact opposite to very.

Haha yeah do true it's like change in their pockets ffs haha

I remember when I lived in Omaha 88-89, 2 of my buddy's were based there and was part of the crew. They were 2 weeks on call at the base and when the scramble they had 8 minutes to be airborne. They always had 1 engine running at all times 24hrs a day so if they got the alert they could be airborne.
The one engine running things sounds like BS. Sorry

: that could well be the rear (5th) turbine engine in the tail. The APU.
@@leftR-tardationactually there is another video about it 24/7 running engine in case of something happening and protect the president right away.
Introducing the Boeing DEATHSEED
@@leftR-tardation Not BS. Running one engine and hot refueling was called "self sustained" operations. Eventually, underground power, AC, and communications were trenched into the parking spots, so the aircraft didn't have to run an engine.
But, at bases without such umbilicals, self-sustained was normal operations.
Not BS. I flew NAOC for four years. My last assignment.
How interesting is this video and the timing of it must tell you something hope it’s good
Oh NO..... Like ALL fighter jets...... when they’re up in the air, something is down to NO good.

The flying Pentagon. They should snag up 6 more 747-8 fuselages while they’re replacing Air Force one and upgrade all at the same time to save a bundle of money.
Then, switch to Geico!
When I was in the USAF, Strategic Air Command from 1969 to 1973, mostly
at 509th Bomb Wing, Pease, AFB, Portsmouth, NH, we had the FB-111's
come in to be stationed at that base.
The Wing Commander flew by with the
afterburner on, and in the hardened
hanger, I was able to have a look into
the cockpit. "Peace is our Profession,"
"To err is human, To forgive is Devine,
neither of which is an acceptable SAC
standard". As a Captain, I was the 509th
Combat Support Squadron Section Commander.
You were stationed at Pease?? My grandfather was also in the Air Force, &was stationed at Pease as well. He served in Korea&Vietnam, then after his retirement, worked for the DoD at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for over 20 years before retiring. He lived the rest of his days in Portsmouth, NH until he passed in March of 2019. His name was Thomas Owens Sr. Maybe you might've known him? I still live in New Hampshire myself, along with some of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 2 of his sons(1 being my father), &1 of his daughters. For the most part we're all near the seacoast, then the rest of the family is scattered across the country.
The things I saw taxiing around, taking off, and landing at Edwards as a flight test engineer (engine supplier rep) with BOEING flight test programs on several programs was pretty cool. RTO tests were so interesting
Things were 'cool' and 'interesting'. Most generic comment ever.

Is it the same POTUS that dodged the draft five times?
And a military, for the most part, has his 6.

Really?! I didn't know Biden was a draft dodger?! I knew he was a old codger!! Now I have no doubt about Oblama being a draft dodger!! I already heard often enough, about him. And so has him being President anymore!! Thank The Only One True God, for that!! 🇺🇸💙❤️
This plane has been airborne a lot lately.

The fact that the head of state can fck up a country and leave in this plane if shtf 😂

It can survive a nuclear blast but a little old tornado takes it out 😁. I suppose its more about the Electronics being immune to EMP.

A bit perplexed as to why they would show all of this to our potential enemies...

I'm in no way knocking it's superior capabilities of withstanding EMP weapons.. It's concerning that a little EF-1 Tornado took our Doomsday Plane out of commission for three months.. What happens if it's a nuclear fallout blast of 200mph winds or higher? It might not be a bad idea to keep the same technologies, but do a redesign of the craft itself, maybe something that's lower to the ground, and maybe that is more stealth in design, and when parked on the ground can retract it's wheels, so is set firmly on the ground..
Let that EF-1 Tornado be a learning experience on what needs to be improved, and not just a bad experience..
Thanks for your hard work and keeping America safe.
I'm concerned that these things aren't moved out of the path of tornado-spawing storms well in advance! Left a critical hole in our readiness!
"Nuclear fallout blast"
No offense but I don't think you know what any of these words mean based on the way you're using them.
Nothing that can fly can be made to survive a blast overpressure in excess of a couple psi, it's simply impossible. There's a reason why we operate more than one of these.
@@slightlyirradiatedmuffin3257 That's all true .. but it seems stupid to leave the thing subject to tornado damage instead of just building a hanger that can protect it.
@@THE-X-Force Because there are several of them, 4 to be exact. If one gets destroyed, it'd be a hellish cost and unfortunate scenario but nothing that would threaten national security.
@@slightlyirradiatedmuffin3257 That does not change the fact that $8 million dollars in repairs had to be made to one of the aircraft for damage that it sustained which could have been prevented if it were in a hanger.
They _did_ spend that money on those repairs, and those repairs could have been avoided by putting it in a hanger.
I don't get what your point is. It's not like if, given the option, they wouldn't put the thing in a hanger. They simply just don't have one there large enough to hold it. So .. build one.
I'm not talking about national security, and I never mentioned or implied that. I'm talking about basic common sense and fiscal responsibility.

the commercial B747 price is 240 mill., and de E-4B specially equipped is cipper?
Leaves me with the question "is there ever going to be a doomsday?"
when u make enemies of half the world, u have no peace of mind and be on your guard 24/7/365 ... learn to live and let live, real peace.. using the military money for lofty purposes... feeding the poor and needy and and uplifting the conditions of the less fortunate..not causing the problem first by killing and destroying and then come to the aid as if they are the good guys..

This was in the air yesterday
We had a family friend who was pretty connected. He told us about thus plane at Sunday dinner back in the mid 1970s. The most important thing Biden would need to know when aboard is where the bathroom is located.
it can re-fuel in the Air, but can also re-stock foodstuff in the Air, if not its not invincible, you can't
fight a war without food.
@R Tee : Uber Eats and DoorDash can probably deliver. Maybe even Domino's (though the 30 minute goal may have to be ignored).
It's a wonder that it can get off the ground, much less carry a full load of staff and passengers.
One question: Why no landing gear on thumbnail?
5:47 $223 million dollar plane. Painters tape to secure wires.
Just saw this bad boy over Tucson
Supposedly, this is what uses in lieu of the air force one
I find it interesting that anyone is showing the inside of this plane. Our command center? Hmmm. The voice talking is AI, or simulated. Maybe this the ccp saying to us, look what we know about you. We can make all kinds of these videos about the US its gov't and its military, etc. I wonder why and how that could be, if true. I haven't looked into the company who makes these videos, yet, but now I'm curious.
That only costs 100 times more than our small town's useless fire station that houses 4 trucks and never has any runs. It costs just about as much as a 250 bed hospital that was constructed one town over. it costs 4 times as much as our new elementary school.(65 million for an elementary school).
So the president will survive a nuclear war but who will they govern lol lol lol. What a joke
