Mary Halvorson is phenomenal. She blew me away the first time I saw her in 2005, and it's been wonderful to see her work evolve since then (along with some recognition, e.g., her 2019 MacArthur Fellowship).

Hi Dereck. I’m a 62 year old white academic living in the Netherlands and can’t understand racists. How stupid can you be? Great the way you address racism Dereck. Keep on the good work. Love your music recommendations. 👍

Hi Dereck just ordered up a copy on vinyl of Future Still, I was really feeling the beats and like what I heard and heard what I like. Thanks everyday for opening my eyes to new music. I’ve only discovered your channel a short time ago and every time you show a record , I’m like wow so much good music out there besides “Main stream” music what the radio wants you to hear. So thank you again.

Hey Dereck, just came across your channel. The thumbnail of you holding Mesh & Lace by Modern English is what drew me to your video. I've had that record since 1989 or 90 and you're the only other person I've come across since then who has that vinyl. So of course I had to hear what you said about it. I bought that record when I was 15, I was at the record store and found it in the miscellaneous bin of one off records with different bands not sorted alphabetically or by genre. I saw the mesh & lace record and had to check it out. My older brother was a modern english fan and had after the snow and I liked the sound of that album. I wasn't prepared for what I was about to hear of course I was expecting something like after the snow. What I heard on mesh & lace sounded so different and so removed from that. The soundscapes and atmospheres they created on that album was extraordinary to me. I still have that record and it's one of my favorites. I too like the 4AD label I've enjoyed a lot of the artists that they put out. I'll definitely be checking out your interview with Mick Conroy and I'll be checking out your music too. Good day Sir!

Hey Dereck, Great News. THE MUSE 2 on vinyl. I do not have any AZYMUTH LP'S, however I know for a fact I have some LP'S by Brazilian artists with AZYMUTH backing them, but for the life of me I just cannot think of them at the moment. Take care Dereck

Congratulations on finding that Soft Machine, every copy I find is beat haha.
Good ol Brainiac, from my home town, Dayton.
Also, I have pretty bad tinnitus, something that helps me is doing a netti pot/Sinucleanse. I think it opens up the tubes somewhat. Maybe give that a try.

I’m sorry you are going through this, if they threaten you you could get law enforcement involved. I know people that have been swatted and they found the people.

I just want them to leave me the fuck alone so I don't have to consider taking legal action.

Unfortunately the anonymity of the internet emboldens a lot of awful behavior from people that would never dare to do so in real life. If you need to create fake accounts to express your opinion, that should tell you something about the nature of the opinion! You would think if they felt so strongly about something they'd be willing to stand by it with their real identity...

A person I know in Finland, named Timo, has been involved in politics for decades. While traveling around the country and connecting with people, he made a poignant observation. Many individuals approached Timo, expressing grievances about being wronged and betrayed by their bosses and other people, recounting decade-old incidents. Timo noticed that some people seemed to dwell on negativity and victimhood.
In response, he began questioning them about solutions: "Who should be held accountable, how long should the prison sentence be and how much money would it take for you to no to talk about this everagain?" Timo discovered that these individuals lacked answers and were left confused.
This experience led Timo to realize that some people struggle to navigate life with positivity, often getting caught in a cycle of envy and negative emotions.
This story is true and even i have witnessed it.
    Greetings from Finland
    Gabriel
