the rain may have been a visual bug, so potentially doing "/weather set rain" and then "/weather set clear" could have fixed it also a single person complaining about the word being too hard to spell doesn't make it harder to spell, as it's extremely unlikely that it interrupted a chain that was going to succeed, and being a single message in a spam of hundreds to thousands is essentially nothing, your sense of scale is way off there
it wasn't a single message, it's become a common theme to spam that every challenge if chat doesn't spell the word within the first minute. It definitely contributes to making it harder to spell
the reason chat cant spell a 5 letter word is because it would require 5 letters to be typed with the assumption of randomness it would be a 20% chance to get the right letter each time so the chance of an attempt succeeding is 0.032% if my math is right (0.2 to the power of 5)

You should stream videos on twitch between 13 (1pm) to like 19 or 20( 7 or 8 pm) so that both the european, and the NA (us and canada) audience can get on your streams, since it's annoying having to wake up in 2 am as an european just to watch your streams, you would probably get a lot more growth by doing this
