    So many westerners exemplify the very worst values in Thailand, it's really refreshing to see this girl's hard working, brave and respectful and mind set.

    • @boogiedownbronx73

      Steve is right...Thailand is still being haunted by past issues such as prostitution and corruption...what she said about gyms being Westernized is very true...especially in Bangkok it is hard to find an original Muay Thai gym that is not overtaken by western people. This girl went for her dreams and really integrates in Thai culture - Pattaya is known for tourists, party and drugs - so yeah it is refreshing to hear a story from the other side...a more realistic view @Jake Thaiman

      Dude I go to Thailand every year and they literally have child porn on several corners and female children as sex slaves at pathetic rates...

    • @Cenot4ph
      @Cenot4ph 5 лет назад +2

      @@inter7322 we know there are problems in this country, that doesn't mean everyone participates in this shit. Mostly people want the same thing, live a good life. Lot of falang here are negative about Thai people and I'm wondering why they dont just go home. There are issues everywhere, deal with it

      @@boogiedownbronx73 But I still do not see her point in mindlessly just throwing hits without care or understanding for how to land with power, I mean, any power at all! She has no power whatsoever, kind of like when people in the park doing tai chi like movements, but without understanding at least how to energy is supposed to be cirulating and so being involved in this essential aspect, cause withou that, no tai chi, without power, I mean , any power , no heart and so no muay thai. Heart is not about how much you love it, solely, its about how to understand to sacrifice your past possible wrong beliefs for finding the truth... and true way to deliver power.

    Great video, it was quite moving, especially at 4:24 when she sounds like she found her family, her tribe, her center, and at the end at 11:41, so thoughtfully reflective.

    I wish I was 40 yrs younger, I would’ve been in Thailand and training in Muy Thai! Im 47 now with dreams of learning Muy Thai, but it might be a case of to little to late? Living in the US, I don’t know if I can get the full Muy Thai experience... thank you Buakaw, Sanchai and the many other muy thai fighters. Watching your youtube vids and seeing the respect you show your opponents and the respect you show your countrymen, I wish that I can have that experience some day! Nothing but respect, humility, humbleness, this is how I want to live my life!!!

    Unfortunately the getting drunk every weekend part is very popular in my generation. Sleeping around and partying is the goal of both men and women, and it´s ruining people. It´s a shallow way of spending your time. Good thing she found her way out.

      Late baby bloomer here. Trust me getting drunk and high and getting crazy is nothing new. Pulled so much shit when I was younger but there was no Facebook or Instagram or security cameras. There are so many more avenues for creativity today but there is so much less of it . Why? I think in part we weren't so closely monitored. Left without supervision I think we became more creative

      the only thing that is real in western countries is money and power which does not bring you happiness anyways......

      If you really loved the sport, you should have continue training just for the other benefits. To be perfectly honest, majority of the people training in any kind of discipline, are probably not fit to be a fighter. Unless you believe you will go down in the history books as one of the greatest, better to skip being a pro fighter. You'll be glad you did when you get older.
