So many westerners exemplify the very worst values in Thailand, it's really refreshing to see this girl's hard working, brave and respectful and mind set.
Steve is right...Thailand is still being haunted by past issues such as prostitution and corruption...what she said about gyms being Westernized is very true...especially in Bangkok it is hard to find an original Muay Thai gym that is not overtaken by western people. This girl went for her dreams and really integrates in Thai culture - Pattaya is known for tourists, party and drugs - so yeah it is refreshing to hear a story from the other side...a more realistic view @Jake Thaiman

Great video, it was quite moving, especially at 4:24 when she sounds like she found her family, her tribe, her center, and at the end at 11:41, so thoughtfully reflective.
Champ mindset, never giving up & being open minded to changes in training environment & to continue and keep growing in skill/experience. Great inspiration, good luck with your future in Muay Thai & beyond ✌️
I wish I was 40 yrs younger, I would’ve been in Thailand and training in Muy Thai! Im 47 now with dreams of learning Muy Thai, but it might be a case of to little to late? Living in the US, I don’t know if I can get the full Muy Thai experience... thank you Buakaw, Sanchai and the many other muy thai fighters. Watching your youtube vids and seeing the respect you show your opponents and the respect you show your countrymen, I wish that I can have that experience some day! Nothing but respect, humility, humbleness, this is how I want to live my life!!!
Unfortunately the getting drunk every weekend part is very popular in my generation. Sleeping around and partying is the goal of both men and women, and it´s ruining people. It´s a shallow way of spending your time. Good thing she found her way out.
Late baby bloomer here. Trust me getting drunk and high and getting crazy is nothing new. Pulled so much shit when I was younger but there was no Facebook or Instagram or security cameras. There are so many more avenues for creativity today but there is so much less of it . Why? I think in part we weren't so closely monitored. Left without supervision I think we became more creative
@Gathka Master The world is full of heartless people. And judging by your negativity on here, I'd say your one step away from being labelled as one too..
@literally not z She used to be a weekend drunk but now she's embarked on the Glorious Pill. How is that not worthy of respect? Does someone have to be a big name pro before they've earned your respect?
I feel you on the getting drunk on the weekend part. Too bad I didn’t find Muay Thai until 33 but I am gonna stick to you just to stay in shape and healthy and away from bullshit. Good luck with your career and thank you for this documentary it was really nice
Did this type of thing years ago, pre social media etc, the journey is still a journey and if it helps make you a better person forget about the negative Nancy’s in comments
I lived the same way u did honey and muaythai saved my life ! Train hard and fight hard you won't regret it when u look back when u are older it's an awesome life! Good luck on your journey!
Gotta admire people from other countries that go there cause I've seen stuff that's said they've not taken it easy on outsiders in order to see their dedication etc
Pras G => there is nothing spiritual about living in the western world.... No real happiness, no real friends.. just fake shit bought with money everywhere...... the only thing that is real in western countries is money and power which does not bring you happiness anyways...... i will pay off my mortgage by the end of this year and off i go ... can't wait to get out of this shithole .....

Is all about respect in Thailand is what I learned I myself is Thai but I’m working in Sweden to to support my family back home But once you become one of the Thai then wherever you are in Thailand you’re home
Please hel0 me Iam 17 years old have black belt in taekwondo and I am boxer my dream is to be mma fighter I need a trainer wjo can train me in thailand ease this is my dream ??❤
If you really loved the sport, you should have continue training just for the other benefits. To be perfectly honest, majority of the people training in any kind of discipline, are probably not fit to be a fighter. Unless you believe you will go down in the history books as one of the greatest, better to skip being a pro fighter. You'll be glad you did when you get older.
explore the meaning of samadhi! Not what it looks like, meditation , but the meaning of it in the training! And not what you think it means, but what they they thinks it means!

Dude I go to Thailand every year and they literally have child porn on several corners and female children as sex slaves at pathetic rates...

You would've left for Thailand at the age of 7? You must've been a very independent young man

The other way is joining a gym, getting fit, taking steroids and having a "healthy life style". I am glad I don't make part of any of those options.
@@Hour882Die Well she doesn't take steroids, you don't have to...

The message Yazmin promotes in this video is something that should resonate with anyone who has a goal
Some of you people are so negative in the comments damn, someone pursuing their dreams and some of you won't respect that.
@literally not z She used to be a weekend drunk but now she's embarked on the Glorious Pill. How is that not worthy of respect? Does someone have to be a big name pro before they've earned your respect?
If it is constructive critique then that will lead her towards her goal, if she follows any the path to betterness, vs. sleeping on the lauries.
Very inspiring - good on you and good luck with your future.
Been to Thailand 🇹🇭 before. Very beautiful country! Good luck in whatever u do 😊
You're awesome, Yasmin! Keep it up! :)

What's that Gym called Nako Muay Thai?
It's not easy for guys to earn enough money in the fight sport let alone the lack of interest in women fight sport. More power to you girl

What’s the pay like in Mauy Thai for a pro?
It's not much compared to a pro boxer tbh - folks make a decent living there in Thailand but you won't become a millionaire or anything.
wow...love her trainer emphasizes zero energy on blocking while punching.
