Lamai Muay Thai Camp is the oldest and most established traditional Muay Thai Camp on Koh Samui.
Recently I spend some time in Thailand and when I visited this camp and met Muay Thai fighters, I have decided to create short documentary about Lamai Muay Thai camp and make interview with some fighters.
This Muay Thai documentary is my first project of it's kind I did on my own, and I really hope you will enjoy it the same way I enjoyed to create it.

That was as well something I really wanted to show. It is an amazing community of people from all around the world.
If I wasn't married with kids I would probably dedicate my life to Muay Thai. Everyone looks so happy and healthy just to train and fight 💪. Maybe I could start my own gym here in the mountains of Oregon for the locals and kids.
Do not hesitate and start it please. Especially young people need more of this.

How does one dedicate thier life?
You don’t need to dedicate your life to it to make a difference to yourself and others mate. Just train as often as you can and encourage others to do the same!
I have a pregnant girlfriend, work full time ( 8 hours a day 5 days a week ) and I teach Muay Thai 4 nights a weeks.
Yes super busy busy, but if you really want it, you can find the time for sure.
Even if it’s only 2 nights a week, or if you can only make 1 night a week to class. At least it’s something.
And you can train at home as well.
There is always a way my friend. Just try 1 night a week and build from there 🙏🏼
A great video, looks like a very good gym with top notch trainers, I trained and fought in Chiang Mai, I got free training but they wanted me to go to different villages to get matched up, then fight at temple festivals and the local stadiums, I had 18 fights, I trained with Burmese and Thai's, they have fought at channel 7, lumpinee etc, I also learned heaps of northern Thai language and central Thai, did it for over six years, it was the hardest but most rewarding thing I ever did, keep up the fantastic work guys, and yes, Muay Thai completely changed me as a person so much, big respect you guys, chok Dee.

I just got back to the US from Koh Samui last week and I'm already making plans to go back. 📢 If anyone has any questions just hit me up. i 100% recommend this place . Btw, I live and train in Los Angeles,CA but it's NOT THE SAME. I just wanna get back to LamaiMuayThai.😄

I training muay thai sometimes in Lamai in 1988-89. But the name then i think was flamingo gym , its was a discotek near to the gym , the namne of the discotek was Flamingo. I was boxer, but liked muay thai i lot. Trained for several years from time to time in Thailand. A wonderful time in Thailand that i will never forget. Have visited the contry many times, a country I like very much nr1

My wife and friend met you at immigration on koh samui. Thanks for the video. Im going to check out the gym in Lamai currently training somewhere else but that looks like a great place to train. Keep up the Muay Thai and Samui content.

Great video! I'm currently training TKW to lose some weight but more I watch videos from various different martial arts the more I understand that Muay Thai is something that I want to train in the future when I'll be in a slightly better shape, maybe half of a year from now on.

Hello, thanks a lot for and I really appreciate you like my work🙏. Yes atm you need to obtain Thai pass - for this you need vaccination certificate and booked sha+ hotel where you will stay one day in quarantine and wait for PCR test result, which will be taken after arriving to Koh Samui at the airport. Then you need to have insurance to cover minimum 20000 dollars and PCR test before flight. But this should be change from 1st of April so it can be much easier after.
Planing to visit thailand later this year for 2 months i would love to take up Muay thai to ge tin shape. no intention of becoming a pro fighter just want to get fit. any idea how much this gym costs? Also is this location closer to beaches and what not?

If i wasnt almost 50 now and i was STILL competitive swimmer skiier and swimmer AND If i knew this existed at 16 to 17 yrs old i wud have been all over muay thai and #lethwei ..wuen i still had the flexibility - too bad in the late 80s if u wanted to fight ? U had to go to the bar lol
