I can see why you'd want to remove that front strip of grass. Then you could have it be it's own thing and do some mounding and make it look really cool. Since thy are keeping grass on the inside of the fence they should do some ornamental cultivars of hibiscus along the two property lines on the outer sides of the house. Would be beautiful. Keep them pruned as a low hedge around 4 feet high. Would really suit the property and they would bloom all year long I bet given the location. Hiddenvalleyhibiscus is located I think not too far away in California there too. They are one of if not the biggest breeders of hibiscus in the world.

It probably won’t be long before your client gets rid of the grass due to water restrictions- and you’ll have a great solution!! 🌵
Question: you mentioned that succulents do better with more frequent watering and less (not deep soaking) water. Would that also apply to watering container plants with a watering can? I’ve heard a number of viewpoints, but am still trying not to drown or under-hydrate my plants.
    Thanks - Happy 4th!!

After you have reset the plants do you water the plants? Or just leave them in the dry soil?

Is there another name for aeonium erbicum, that Laura calls the green aeonium? There are no hits on Google using this word?
