Jim Buttress : Thanks for all the energy and enthusiasm and expertise you put into YOUR RUclips videos !!!! I'm vollunteeing in a community garden growing food for the neighborhood ; your information is MOST helpful !!!!
Great video, but I wish some of that fancy scalpel work you were doing was more in close-up. I'd like to know more about what type of soil you are using to root the cuttings in. Also ... when you say "grit", do you mean sand? That idea of having sand fall down in the hole to provide drainage is a good idea I have never heard before.

Mulberry (Norus) Propagation. Sow seeds in containers outdoors in Autumn. Root semi-ripe cuttings in summer. Root hardwood cuttings in a prepared bed in a cold frame in autumn. You can use thick pieces of 2 to 4 year old wood known as 'Truncheons' if treated as hardwood cuttings.
Great video JIm. I have access to a mulberry tree and I would like to take some cuttings. What type of cutting technique should I follow and when should I take one? Many thanks. All the best.
I'm a newbie gardener and this is very helpful to me. Thank you
