It is COLD! We have had weeks of freezing temperatures here on Svalbard, which is lovely, but also has a way of ruining my adventure plans. I've been following you for over a year now, and I never wrote a single comment here (kinda rude of me) I guess I'm a serial procrastinator. But I've decided from now on, I'm gonna let people who inspire me know how a single word can change the negative view I have towards the place where I live, and instead of complaining (from windy and cold days in my case), to "bundle up" as you said today, tie my hair very strong, put the leash on my dogs, and go for a walk...and breath!
I never liked the place where I live (and born and raised here) Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut, Patagonia Argentina, but I'm starting now to see the positive things here...and there are plenty! So thank you Cecilia for being an inspiration and reminding us to enjoy the little things in life!❤️🤗
That is a great start to a positive change! Your comment caught my eye because, ironically, I am paying thousands of US dollars to come see Patagonia this year.
I could definitely live Cecilia's way of life, I'm from a very hot country and have moved as far south as I can (Hobart Tasmania) next stop Antartica. I've always wanted to visit Patagonia for a very long time. I think the more remote we are these days the safer we feel.
I appreciate where I live more because of Cecilia as well. I especially am more mindful of the sky.

It’s so refreshing to see you, Christoffer, and Grim enjoying the weather where you live. I live the Midwest of the US. Everyone complains so much, never satisfied with the weather on any given day. Too hot, too cold, it’s raining, it windy, etc. We need to learn from you three, take it a day at a time, and find the beauty around us every day.
I get it! I live in London, rainy, sunny, all over the place! What I DO like though is I have family in Sweden and to have a few months of snow is great! Unlike just rain in London lol

Honestly that's what I said when East Tennessee hit -20C one time and I walked out there barefoot and in shorts and a t-shirt for a few minutes. It feels great in such a weird way.
Admittedly I don't appreciate 40C nearly as much. I might try embracing the wild heat this summer.

I watch regularly but, even my husband enjoys them once in awhile. Ive also learned so much about Svalbard, and am amazed at your guys' resilience in such harsh conditions; you make it look like so much fun, even in the bitter cold! I love how Grimm comes into the cabin and turns right around at the mention of the word hug and goes straight to you, as happy as could be. Sometimes it looks like he wants to jump up on you but something holds him back. If he did jump on you, he would hug you right back, I'm sure!

I'm in California so your videos transport me to the North Pole almost like a big wake up call! Ha! It gets very comfy in warmer climates but also can make one more 'soft'. I do come from a Northern climate in the UK and so I feel more Viking than my current American counterparts. Love that you take time to show us all. Thank you.
I live in the northeast corner of Wyoming, USA and we are in the middle of a winter storm that has 30-35mph winds and is supposed to drop 12-16 inches of snow on us by Monday morning. The whole area is closed pretty much to road travel. Temperatures are 33°F with wind chill of 17°, not even as cold as you all are. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. I do live off grid at 9,000' Colorado mountains, have home made kick sled, American Akita "Grim" type, heat wood, past two days snow and high winds here, no worries just enjoy.

Watching this vlog in Poland in first April's weekend, in 26 degrees, sunny, summery weather (that will last the next two days). We also had 3 summer days up to 25 last week (in March), but they were a bit strange, because we had a dust storm from the Sahara, so there was no sun, only dirty, yellowy, orange'y mist. The sun was only visible for a moment, as if it was a moon. It was warm, very, very windy, but the wind was warm, so still it felt like a summer. We spend those days on activities outside.
This year, summer is coming pretty fast. Usually such days happen in middle of July, rarely earlier, but on the end of the March and beginning of April is something new! I won't complain.
I guess, the cold must stay somewhere, for other places to be warm...

That weather is like Januaryin Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Froaen eyelashes and hair. You feel pain before you ever get cold.It is never like that here in Toronto. Hi Grim.

Winter (and Autumn) are my favorite time of year, so as we move towards our summer which will be hot and humid, I will be turning to your channel a LOT for that distant breath of winter air and snow!
You show so many wonderful relaxing scenes of coffee and outdoor play and joy, that i don't think a lot of us realize the amount of dedicated hard work and skills you put into content creation to bring us these wonderful moments. You work HARD! I hope that the process is something you enjoy.

I have come to realize that life is made up of experiences that we all should seek to make the most of. Maybe most of us don't have a Svalbard, but each and every place has its own beauty to be lived in everyday and you inspire us to seek our own adventures!

The sled from Sweden is called spark or sparkstötting in Swedish. When I was in my teens I used a spark in the winter to go to school. Downhill it is really very fast. I kind of miss those days. It is lovely to follow Cecilia, Christoffer and Grim in Svalbard. Svalbard is om my bucket list of places to visit. Hopefully that dream will come true one day soon.

I love the way you say, today it is only minus 16... the coldest I have ever felt outdoors is about minus 7, and my ears were numb from the cold even then. The sun is out for you on svalbard, but it is at so low an angle that it remains frigid.

Wow, very BEAUTIFUL Cecilia! So happy to see a video, the break was too long... Haha I'm glad you stayed warm tho. I live in Alaska so understand how the "elements" can change our "plans". -40 plus and Wind is no joke to try and stay comfortable in. The 🌬️ is the absolute worst.
Christoffer sure was having FUN with his new toy, woohoo, I Love anything fast moving as well. & Girl, I love me some imitation Crab, but NEVER watch the video on how they "make" it! 😮😂
We're coming into the days of Midnight Sun here also, but at least here it's a little more gradual.. keeping our circadian balanced is definitely tough.
