One idea is that in Pokemon Go, Legendary or Shiny Pokemon cost up to 1Million stardust if you're just recent friends but can cost as low as 800 stardust if you're best friends and you both have the Pokemon registered. That way, people still grind for Shiny or Legendary Pokemon in raids. But TCGP would need to implement something to balance the system. If higher rarities are not consistently tradable, then perhaps event trades where "from date X to date y, players can trade any card of any rarity" for say Pokemon Day or whatever. I’m really hoping that since they’re doing gen four that they are also including every Gen 2 evolution that appeared in those games. As much as I wanted Johto, I have to admit Sinnoh might give us a good healthy dose of some Gen 2/3 Pokémon alongside them. For example, they can’t bring us Honchkrow without Murkrow too.

I think they can have their cake and eat it too if they allow 1 trade per week or month (per account) to be made where 2 (or more) cards of a lower rarity can be exchanged for 1 card of a single upgraded rarity. with a cap at immersive rares, so excluding crown rares. ex: • 2 full art machamps 🤝 1 immersive charizard • 2 holo venasaurs 🤝 1 ex venasaur i think there will eventually be a bigger interest in flair and having duplicate cards, should the game live long enough, and this could help drive that. i think additionally to combat alt accounts trading with themselves to boost, they could either not allow any of those upgraded traded cards to be traded again (permanently?), OR they could place some type of counter on the card (could be similar to how it shows the amount of cards held. just say “traded: _ “) to keep track of how many times it’s getting traded. with that perhaps they can review for suspicious behavior. idk im no genius but there’s surely a way to make the trading more worthwhile especially when you make a gajillion in revenue and can hire smart people to devise something.

100% true people who want to trade specifically want to reroll their accounts and give all the good pulls on one main account, thats why they decided to implement a friend and item rule, though, I think the easiest solution would be to enforce players who trade to have a nintendo and google account linked, that way, reroll accounts can't trade since they would have to link to multiple other accounts, which is a huge waste of time. They had the answer and they chose the wrong one imo. All they had to do was this: 1. Make trading locked behind a rank like rank 30 and up. This stops rerollers from just making new accounts and trading. 2. Make trading more expensive when the gap between rarities is bigger. If your trading a crow rare for a crown rare, then the price remains low let’s say 5000 shine dust. However let’s say you trading a 1 diamond for a 3 star then the price for trading is sky high like 50000. That stops people from trading low cards for higher ones with ease. 3.Well what if they have a ton of shine dust? Then you make it limited to a few times per day/week. Boom problem solved.
i was thinkin palkia looks fuckin trash, but the more i looked at it, i never realized that a 150hp basic that u can get off rip, that turn 2 does 30 dmg instead of the regular 20 or 10? thats actually fuckin insaneeee for a wall pokemon, and dependin on if u have blastoise or starmie and u cant get them quick enough u jus keep powerin palkia until its time to fuckin one shot something, its coo fs, but na man that dialga, pair ts w mew, pair it with wigglytuff which i been WAITING for a excuse to play wiggly, aint like any of the wiggly decks but i can see dialga wiggly bein crazy since u cant basically powerup wiggly or even pidgeot in 1 turn is fuckin insane
