  • Sad to hear that music legend Paul "Lil' Buck" Sinegal passed away today. A true musician, Buck fronted his own band, recorded blues sessions at Excello Records, recorded his own funky tunes for La Louisiane Records, was a sideman for numerous legendary acts such as Lee Dorsey, Carol Fran, and Joe Tex, played in Clifton Chenier's Red Hot Louisiana Band, Lil' Band O' Gold, and Rockin' Dopsie. Louisiana music fans have grown accustomed to hearing Sinegal's guitar playing on records and the radio, and live in many settings- from small weekly blues jams to large festival stages. To say that his death leaves a huge hole is no exaggeration. Here he is playing with Rockin' Dopsie and the Twisters in 1988. Rest in Peace Lil' Buck.
