Wow ! Lots going on. Really cold. Really noisy. Really high. Really talented. Really hard work. Really heavy saw. Bet that stuff has to be done right to be Really safe . Great job!
Wow. My muscles hurt just watching you. Ah to be young again. I think I missed my calling in life. Found your channel because my Husqvarna 455 rancher cuts nice curves in my firewood and came across your sharpening tips. Woot! What a frigging life! Beers must taste really good at the end of a day.! Excellent!
Logger out of Washington state. Whenever we hang intermediate supports we rig up a minimum of 4 tree guidelines and lately hook boss has been rigging up 5! We’re running a big bowman carriage and a 70 tmy yarder. Sweet video and stay safe out there!!
We don't run a yarder on our blocks of timber because really there is very little need for it but where you were there for this video looks like myself or our Son or one of our crew could have shot the video. Nice to see some video from the same basic areas and types of trees we fall.
So I climbed the tree about 50 feet before I cut the rest of it down. I am attached to the spar below where I cut it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get up there.

Thank you much!

Will do!

This is very interesting and a nice little Husqvarna you got there.
Thanks, I have fun with it.
Only comment/advice; if you have a saw use it, don't pound stubs off with your hand. You will regret it 30-40 years from now.
Thanks, just feel like it takes longer. I picked up a little hatchet that I can hold at the same time as my flip line. I really like it.
Awesome
Great video. Always good to see a professional at work. Is this CTS ground? Have a good rest of your winter, be safe!
It's Blm ground. Thank you, you too!
Why do you wrap yourself around the tree before you cut it down?
My first thought was you would go down with the tree as well.
So I climbed the tree about 50 feet before I cut the rest of it down. I am attached to the spar below where I cut it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get up there.
Sure could have used an intermediate support in my day
They can help a lot, that's for sure.
