Having lived about two minutes north of the Addison airport, I want to thank you for all that you did in this flight. I know many of the streets and features that are in this video. It’s very personal. It surprised me about coming in over Love. If I ever had to fly via a small plane into Addison, I pray that you are the pilot.

I would not care WHAT # my comment was as long as I get to see your videos. 😆 You sir quite possibly have the best pilot videos on RUclips. I am so glad you let your audience hear your intercom & ATC communications. You keep us, or THIS wannabe pilot, motivated towards becoming so.

I got my PPL there in 1987. It was busy back then. Flew similar night flights and it is stunning. Nice smooth air at night. In the afternoon in the summer it's not even fun with all the turbulence. Tried flying early morning or night but when scheduling with instructor you're going to fly next available appointment time. Thanks for the ride along.

Nice video. Back in 84 when I got my private, I flew from Minneapolis to Atlanta to visit a friend that had moved down for work. About9 hours each way and was a blast. No GPS or fancy navigation back then. Flew part of the way at night and the larger cities confirmed your route. Flying single engine at night especially, I like to stay higher and know close by airports in case I have an engine issue. Enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work.

Josh, I love the airspace transition videos with all of the comms. The nighttime flight also reveals the need to effective CRM and multitasking. And you pull it all off while narrating great information. Good job once again. I'll get back down yonder one of these days to do it again with you.

I have worked on towers. Some of the wires are a half a mile out at the ground depending on how tall they are. 1500 foot tower wires are well over a quart a mile out at the ground. It is good to give them a lot of room for safety!

Well Done! I love watching your development from an ardent student at Above & Beyond Aviation to your ebullient "1st Solo" to your authoritative, yet happy adventures with father, fiancé & flying friends as you hone your skills as a pilot & filmmaker & feed your boundless curiosity! Let's just say, I could be your grandmother, and largely from watching Mr. Aviation 101, I began lessons at Above & Beyond a few months ago. I love it, however, it must be said that I am a bit of a late bloomer in the skills of Aviation. About 20 hrs of instruction & don't quite have the chops & confidence of the 1st Solo. (Getting pretty good GoProHeroMission5 footage on 4 cameras & great audio (thanks to your tutorial on the Y splitter, etc. (RTF @ UT in late 70's--if we needed now what was needed then, I believe weights & balances would have scrubbed "The Learning Flights" on film & left it to the dryness (but importance!) of the required reading tomes on FLYING!
Anyway, Mr. Josh--I'm a fan; love your work: both as a pilot and as a filmmaker. Fly Safe, Keep up the Good Work. 'Night, Sir.

Reminds me of that great Flight Sim FLY! I remember Addison was on the default list of arrivals . Being from the UK I had never heard of Addison but thanks to FLY I got interested in the TEXAS area of your HUGE country. I really enjoyed this. Thank you. FLY! even had those radio towers! Unreal. Never got FLY 2! to work though which was a bummer. Microsoft 98/2k/2002 FS killed off FLY! (and almost all other Civil Sims) so further development was pointless. Shame. But I liked MSFS so moved on over.
