Never even realized Nate went into boxing. The first thing I think of is still his underrated skills as a solid role player. My nickname for him has always been Nate The Great. Still is. I could care or less what happened in his boxing "career".
Steph Curry is such a class act, even when he is being gracious and complimentary after the fact, he slides that under the radar diss so stealthy right at the end, it makes the burn even funnier.
I forgot about that fight. Nate legendary little man in the nba. Blocking Yao Ming! His dunk contest with igoudala. Legendary moments way more monumental than his loss in that fight
Good video but this is a stretch. Nate will def be remembered for his NBA career and how humorous he was, I don’t think anyone besides kids are gonna remember him for the fight.
it dun matter .. man made bag that day and is alll good. A real man will do anything for his loved ones. he might not be a legend to your eyes, but to the eyes of the people he provide .. they see something greater.
U of A fan here. I always rooted against Nate because Washington was really good and at the time there was a rivalry of sorts between Washington and Arizona in the PAC-10…anyways, I’ll never forget the game at Washington when little 5 foot 8 Nate Robinson went back door along the baseline and rose up to throw down an alley oop from the top of the key. That was nasty. Brandon Roy was also on that team.
Very interesting video! I'll admit right now I hate boxing. I can't just beat up someone who I never previously met who also never intentionally did me wrong all in the name of sports.
Maybe if your a gen z type: that boxing match is the one that you will remember.. But if your kid from 80's, 90's for sure its about the slam dunk contest that he will be remember for
I remember Nate for dunking on Shaq and wearing his shoes despite the knock out he’s still a great player that will put other players to sleep if the players allow it
Ref should’ve stopped it after the second knockdown, he got dropped bad barely got up you could see his face he couldn’t continue, would’ve saved him a lot of embarrassment
I actually totally forgot about this.. usually i remember him for his Knicks time.. i remember him taking 10 minutes for one dunk in the dunk contest, or just messing with Shaq.. and trying to go under/actually going under a bigs legs in the G-league
He didn't destroyed his reputation on that knock out, first of all he doesn't have any reputation and legacy to protect in boxing. Boxing and basketball are two different sports if he got knock out it will never effect what he done in basketball unless he was beaten in basketball.
Meh - I forgot the fight even happened. I remember Robinson for what he was known for, basketball. Yeah, he jumped in the ring with a 'RUclipsr'...who had been training in boxing professionally for over 2 years, had a size/reach advantage and youth on his side. After the fight, all Nate can really say...'Mistakes were made.' But that doesn't change my opinion of him as a basketball player.
But to be fair i don’t think of Nate Robinson getting Ko b Jake Paul which was way bigger. I remember Nate for his dunk contest championships and for being on the 10 Celtics that went to game 7 of the finals.
Dude literally blocked lebron, was a spark plug on many teams, played with Brandon Roy at Washington and had a overall good career. A better Isaiah Thomas and more athletic.
To only remember Nate Robinson, for getting knocked out, is ridiculous. And who cares what undisputed said what are they doing now? Separated. Nate Robinson is an all-time legend grow up, and start watching old Nate Robinson highlights maybe you’ll forget about the knockout from a professional boxer, who literally only trained boxing his entire life after he acted.
Jake Paul beat Anderson Silva in a boxing match. There's no shame in losing a fight to someone who can beat Anderson Silva. Yes, I know Anderson was old and past his prime at the time, but even old Anderson Silva would easily beat 99% of human beings who've ever lived. Anyone who thinks losing a boxing match to Jake Paul is embarrassing if you're not a professional fighter mustn't have much knowledge of combat sports.
@@WegotTheBOMB Well, Jesus is fully divine as well as fully human, so I don't really think that would be a fair fight, even for Anderson Silva. Hand to hand, I would back Silva to beat Khan. The combat sports meta has just evolved too far since Khan's prime, you know? But Andre would have a pretty good shot at beating him just purely because of the size advantage. There's weight divisions for a reason. That said, if Silva landed some of those big leg kicks, with Andre already having bad leg problems as it was, Anderson could still manage a victory.
Nate should know him and Jake are totally different weight class. It was so obvious that he will lose that fight. I didn't watch the fight I already know who was gonna win
TBH, I was like that at first but Jake drop some legit (Although padt their prime) fighters. Now I just see Nate as someone who wasnt prepared. And lets not forget he had the heart to step in the ring. 90% of the people clowning probably doesnt.
Nate wasn't and never was a fighter. If the first thing you think about is him being knocked out the 2nd thought should be the big disadvantage he faced. 1st thing I think about when i hear Nate Robinson is him in the NBA.
He should have gone against a rapper or someone with actual 0 boxing experience. That youtuber had a couple fights before that which gives a huge advantage over someone with literally 0 experience
I dont think his rep was destroyed, not many other nba players would be brave enough to step in the ring against jake. Yes, he was cocky but he steppen in the ring.

Nate Robinson is a reminder to all NBA players, don't get into a fight. We all know NBA players can't throw hands, especially these modern day players. LeBron, Steph, KD, Embiid, and Harden are all soft and would get put to sleep by Jake Paul too.
Nah you gotta be a casual kid to know Nate only for the fight. Nate easily one of the most athletic points ever

How about him dunking on shaq in practice haha.
Exactly same here
Speak for yourself. First thing that comes to mind about Nate is and will always be his basketball career for me.
just to think that Nate Robinson blocked a Yao Ming dunk but all I think about is him getting knocked out😂😂😂😂😂
I swear, that knockout had to be a humiliation ritual. Everything is so ironic, the tweet, the art on his attire, etc ..

Clutch timing by cosgrove, the goat. I’m eating breakfast rn and I needed something to watch
I still think of his basketball career when I think of Nate. The knockout was just a footnote in his life to me

Curry always cooking apparently

I remember this fight happened now that you mention it, but I could care less. I just remember him as a little dude with some crazy hops
The first thing I think about when I hear the name Nate Robinson is the fact that he won a dunk contest despite missing 14 dunks in a row in 2006
to be fair, that was a dark era for the dunk contest history.
Whenever Cosgrove uploads..it is a good day. Keep up the good work man
This Sunday is starting out great💯💯💪🏽
I forgot about that fight. Nate legendary little man in the nba. Blocking Yao Ming! His dunk contest with igoudala. Legendary moments way more monumental than his loss in that fight
I wouldn't remember about Nate Robinson getting knocked out when I first think about him and never will.
Great video, thank you sir and great research on Nate Robinson
Who remembers cosgrove prods?
Didn't even know about the fight...Nate always been 1 of the best dunkers in NBA..thats what i remember about him
me as well
interestingly, this is the last thing on my mind when I hear Nate Robinson. The Paul Pierce clip is the first thing.
I'll always remember Nate as someone who jumped and fell while Pierce was celebrating.

Nate catchin strays from Cosgrove 😂
