Thank you you are an angel. I am a registered nurse and I have had this problem ever since menopause. I am now 70. None of my doctors have a clue about. The basic they know is bladder infection or yeast. Water hurts me it causes me to dread taking a shower. I like to be very clean. I have some incontinence this year and it has been maddening. I started using a light vinegar and water to wash with that has helped tremendously and didn’t stop helping until I became partially in continent that I had to wear a pad or a pull-up which tore my skin out so much I can no longer use the vinegar. But I would highly recommend it if you have no broken skin. I used it for two decades. I also drank it in my water to prevent bladder infections. I’m very small and my vagina is very close in proximity with my rectum and Urinary meatus. So the vinegar gave back the bacteria I have lost through menopause and hysterectomy. I think you so much I have really gone through it all down this last weekend given me so much help and help. You are the first person I’ve heard sensibly talk about it in great depth. The doctor should all have a course on this. I appreciate you so much . I pray God‘s blessing on you so that you can help many more women who I’m sure are desperate. When it first started happening to me I could not understand why every time I took a shower or every time I urinated I was burning in my vagina a terrible pain and discomfort that was hard to explain. You have explained it and I thank you.

Same thing happened to me and the 5th doctor I went to, finally explained that it was post menopause after not finding anything else wrong with me. I was skeptical and thought I must be the only person experiencing it, until i happened upon this video and realised others have the same problem.

Your blogs are really getting me through it. Thank you! How do I use or apply St. John's wart and aloe? Has anyone had any success with applying these inside their vagina? I wonder about applying Sea Buckthorn there too but the bio can be upset so easy so I am reluctant to just try. Thanks.

    • @AvogelCoUk

      Hi Susan
Aloe gel, St John’s Wort Oil and Sea Buckthorn are usually fine to use but make sure they are as pure as possible (such as our St John’s Wort Oil) and only try one at a tome for maybe a week to see how it helps. Apply very sparingly twice a day to start with.
Great to heart that the blogs are helping, thank you!

A lot of the stuff u mentioned in your videos I personally experienced but didn’t know and thought it was internal illnesses such as kidneys, liver, GI or some sort! Quick question on vaginal/vulva itching: I been using over the counter vagisil cream to alleviate the itchiness...is this good or bad? It’s been helping and I only use when needed not all the time.. any advice helps thanks

      Hi Ge Yang
      Glad you found us!
Falling oestrogen can affect the mucus production in the vagina and this can lead to dryness, itching or inflammation. For this I would recommend a supplement called Sea Buckthorn Oil capsules and a vaginal probiotic (a company called Optibac do one). For any discomfort you could apply either pure aloe vera gel or our St John's Wort Oil.
Remember to drink lots of plain water over and above your other drinks as dehydration will make this worse!

Lichen Sclerosus. You need to talk to women about Lichen Sclerosus. So many women are misdiagnosed! It’s insane how uneducated our medical professionals are in regards to this condition. It can cause vulvar cancer if not addressed. So very common in menopausal women. It took 2 years for my diagnosis, but some women go decades! :)

I agree Drs everywhere should be educated on Lichen Schlerosus! They also need to LISTEN to their patients when the patient TELLS THEM they have a severe itch or severe pain and stop pushing them off to other Drs. Women are going far too long without being diagnosed and able to start treatment and prevent Cancer.

    • @AvogelCoUk

Yes, this may do, sanitary napkins can prevent good air flow round the vagina and this could contribute to dryness. You may find a Sea Buckthorn Oil supplement can help with this.

I suffer with vulvadynia. An estrogen ring and Cymbalta have controlled my symptoms. At any time when I've over exerted myself, my symptoms will flair up. I've found that laying down and resting, sometimes for just a short amount of time, calms the nerves, thus the pain is alleviated. Vulvadynia can be treated and daily life can continue.

. It feels like my vagina is stuck together and passing water takes long, I'd I don't use these.

      Hi Dinah
Unfortunately, this is a really difficult question to answer as it is different for every woman, sorry. Some may experience it for a short while, whilst others may have issues for quite a while. With symptoms such as this, it is better to try and treat them rather than waiting for them to ease.

What can I do about sweating down there! I hate wearing undies. I'm still young but have had a partial hysterectomy..so still have my ovaries..I also leak urine constantly and I'm only in my 30s.
I hate underwear and I hate pads but I also wear lose fitting clothing all the time.. I sweat so much and feel like I have to shower in the morning and at night or I smell.
I hate it. I have not seen a OBGYN since I I gave birth 10 years ago.
🤦 I don't have any other body odor, just down there.. like musty, sweaty smells..

      @AvogelCoUk  5 лет назад +3

      Hi Rachel
It is important to see your practitioner just to rule out a prolapse; this can often cause a leaky bladder. Profuse sweating can also be caused by other health issues such as low vitamin D or diabetes so it is a good idea to get a health check

      Hi Lyrical
Please do get this checked out by your doctor; although abdominal pain is quite common, for various reasons, if it is constant or has gone on for more than 2 weeks it is important to get it diagnosed properly.
