I have lined baskets and struggled with the math. This looked easier...maybe I will try another one. I see so many nice baskets at yard/house sales for very little $$$.
Hi, I just seen this video, and read your comment. I typed in circle calculator on Google, and a simple calculator popped up, I put in the inches in the diameter portion and then it showed the circumference 😁👍 Just in case you still needed the calculator info😁😊
Another tutorial said to push tissue paper down into the basket, press the corners, then take it out and trace that shape (plus the seam allowance) - for the base. For the sides, measure the rim and the base circumference (around the shape, rather than through it), and use those measurements for the trapezoidal shape. This also takes all the maths out of it. 😊 I was here for a tutorial on handles.
Thank you very much. This is just what I needed.
Finally! Just what I needed to get me started with a tapered laundry hamper basket.
Thanks! I was worried about making a liner for a picnic basket I just fixed up until I saw your basket also was wider at the top! Very helpful 😄
This is helpful thanks so much! One question- what if our basket is oval on the bottom and not a perfect circle?
Thank you for you video. I am making one for my pregnant friend as a gift.
Thanks! You made that look so easy!!
Hi. Did you sew the circle piece to the trapezium piece by hand or machine?
LOVE IT! You make it look so easy!

Making patterns and figuring out the math is one of my big issues lol never been good at math, lol
Such a great teacher! Thank you for all that you do for us! love this one!
Thank you! 😍😍
How did you measure out the diagonal cut from base to top? It was really confusing if not explained. I ended up throwing away the whole fabric.
So cute! Thank you for sharing.
Where is the calculator link? Thanks!
You're so talented! thanks.
This was awesome and so helpful!
Love this!
Could you please link the calculator you used to work out the measurements?

So pretty!!
Tried to follow, but couldn’t. What if it’s more of an oval basket?

This was so helpful!! Thank you!!
I must be confused as I would have thought you needed 2 smaller trapezoids not one large one to achieve an equal slant all around for the interior?
Thank you!!
