I never thought of measuring from the outside of the basket! I've been meaning to make one for mine but my brain overcomplicated it, so thank you for this video!
This was the easiest method I've seen for basket liners and it was a really easy to follow video. I had looked all over at other patterns called for 5+ pieces of fabric cut outs and to use a serger and stuff. This one was so simple and efficient with materials. It's very beginner friendly and I hope you keep making more videos like this.
I'm glad it helped! Thanks a lot for watching and for your kind words. There are lots of other helpful diy on the channel and I will definitely be making more. Cheers!
How wonderfully easy you have made this. I have several baskets, square, round, and rectangular to line for a vendor market. Look forward to other projects from you in the future.
Honestly, this was the most straightforward and clear method for measuring and constructing a basket insert I have ever seen! I loved your tutorial and appreciate you sharing your talent with us! ~Christy~
This is so straightforward and approachable! Thank you! My liner turned out great, and I added elastic inside the hemline to give it a more snug fit. I'm very happy with it!

Oh thank you thank you! I have just acquired 6 baskets with a very large weave. I want to store my paper scraps in them without them falling through. And I have some older sheets to recycle. You're a lifesaver🩷🩷

will this work if bottom is smaller and top is larger still a rectangle on bottom and top?
How much smaller?
@@doablediyhomedecor top is 15 by 9 bottom is: 11 by 8 height is 6
You can try with an old piece of fabric firsr. It may just work.
@@doablediyhomedecorJust wondering if it worked?
