I think artists just tend to evolve with time and eventually are bound to branch out which is why the prominent artist within the genre haven't been making aesthetic rap. I think as young teens it was what we aspired to do, as we were enjoying life and internet culture, but as time progressed as do with all things people evolve and change. And I think that is what's happening here.
I'll I can do is thank guys like you, 1only, ciscaux, letoa, and 8percent for making great sounding music. And for inspiring others to do the same. I can't imagine it seems that deep to you guys, but people like me really appreciate it.
It was bound to happen. While the genre was extremely popular, it wasn’t meant to last. Same fate happened to Hyperpop/digicore. Big artists in the scene like midwxst, twikipedia, Ericdoa, and more have just started to shift away from it.
then we gotta understand how the harmonies and sonorities function together in these samples to create this aesthetic, so we may create our own "samples" from scratch. this lets the sound develop and influence the rap genre as a whole as it becomes more interoperable with other styles. it lifts aesthetic rap out of a trend and into a technique that can be persued as a skill.
Aesthetic rap got its name from “aesthetic edits”. There was no name for the genre till some one through a song on a edgy aesthetic skate boarding video and it popped off on TikTok and insta
found aesthetic rap a few months ago and was hooked. yea, the beat is everything. i think the catch to this genre is a danceable beat. its like... disco rap or something
I will say this…tho aesthetic rap may not be as prominent of a community as it was before, there is still hope …as one of the most unique sounds I’ve heard coming from the underground, all it needs is a stronger push, It’s still a small genre/community so there’s still a great possibility of it blowing up and redefining the music scene …it was going crazy during that 2020-2021 era but because many of the more popular figures evolved, nobody’s really popularizing it…it’s like they used it as a crutch to get by then go to the next level ultimately forgetting what the culture is about Translation: NIGGAS WENT HOLLYWOOD …ITS THE “COMMERCIAL DEATH METAL” SITUATION ALL OVER AGAIN😭✨
Not trying to speak for everyone but I don’t think the majority of us realised the impact the genre might have on others. We were all kids basically coming up making music we loved listening 2, and being inspired by others aswell that came before us. I’d argue that we didn’t use aesthetic rap as a crutch as it wasn’t even as big at it is now.
@@lilbubblegum bro I have to agree with you because after I realized that 1nonly for example was 16 yo at the release of "Stay with me" I couldn't believe that

1nonly had stated on twitter that he hates aesthetic rap although it helped him get to where he is today but the wannabe posers ruined the genre which includes copying lyrics and same city pop sampled beats and honestly I don’t blame him being apart of this community is awesome but the posers ruined the whole fuckin thing there are rarely any good beats anymore and it’s all just cringe and bs now, I will always love aesthetic rap for what it is but not for what it’s becoming now R.I.P aestheticrap 🤦♂️
The most common type of Aesthetic rap beats or samples is spanish/mexican/latin type beats and Japanese type beats. The sad truth is that most popular Aesthetic rap songs have really bad lyrics and the beat is just the one holding them up.
its like a mini group of friends who decided to create a new form of rap, the so called "aesthetic rap", i can name a few if somebody wants to hear their songs: 1nonly, lilbubblegum, shady moon, letoa, ciscaux, lames, letoa.
nah just keep on making music man, even if its just for fun, being able to change another individual's emotion as a hobby is really something investing you time's worth
