Micah, not only do you get to review cars for a living, you have a sweet helicopter. I have always loved flying since I was a kid and hope to learn someday. Now I find out you have a Yamaha FZ 09 motorcycle which is my dream bike. I am very envious of your life. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations on your first Bike review. May I suggest more footage of the road ahead with voiceover with less of the helmet facing camera. All the best!
The headlight switches on automatically at night... Impossible to forget. Also, the dash tells you it's on. As for the seat sliding you forward, just use the pegs to push back. Lot more comfortable
I have that same bike, and never notice it while riding, just like your brain doesn't notice your nose unless you choose to focus on it even though you "see" it all the time.
Woah... You like cars, I like cars. You ride bikes, I ride bikes You’re married with a daughter. I’m married with a daughter You speak English, I speak English You have hair, I have hair And the freakiest part, you’re a dude and I’m a dude!!! Are you sure I’m not your long lost black twin??? Edit: I just watched the rest of the video and holy shit I have a MT09 also 😂😂 and I do concur, the stock mirrors are trash. Particularly my passenger side one. Anything over 80 mph and all I see is the right side of my helmet haha.
Oh he'll, thought I was yer twin. (But I do thank you for the grammatical correctness, it's a dying art.) But nah, yer ginger, leftie no matter. Still, (was) married, have daughter, am also rider, writer, flyer, rocker, etc. Maybe more like yer older twin...?
Great review, well done. How tall are you for reference of foot position? You need to let people know. Big difference from a 5-8 guy v a 6-2 guy with foot placement. Thanks.
Good review. I like the bike. I like "how it rides" reviews far more than spec sheet recitations, I can find the marketing materials myself. I'd also suggest more POV of the road, that's what I would be doing on the bike.
@@MicahMuzio Yeah I get it. My other channel is a motovlogging channel, but I did not put much effort into the videos and it shows haha. I want to get back into it though when I pick up a bike again.
😹😹 There is a widowless white van that drives around my neighborhood with a minion on the side of it. I talked to the guy once, he found this van at a used car lot and it fits his whole family for a cheap price.😺
I would take you as my back passenger (not a good idea either) :D Fantastic review! Could you please add a height from the seat to the ground and also the weight of the bike next time? These are important for me. Looking forward to watch new bike reviews. Good luck and take care ;)
Love your videos! I’m 5”3 ... could this bike be lowered? With the flat seat option and to assume that this bike could be lower, would I be able to be on my toes ?
billy wong Thanks for the kind words! To answer your question. Yes, I think you have some options to lower the Scrambler. If you dial back the pre-load on the rear suspension that’ll increase static sag. That plus the lowered seat might be the solution you need.
Micah Muzio thanks Micah for the quick reply! For all you short riders I’m 5”3 and just sat on one of these yesterday.. I could get both my toes on the ground. Ifeel pretty comfortable as the bike seat is very narrow and the bike is light as well
imagiben I’m 5’ 10” and the Scrambler fit me just fine. For riders within a few inches of my height I think the Scrambler’s ergonomics would work great.
@@MicahMuzio Thanks for getting back to me, Micah. I am almost 6ft 1 but disproportionately long in the trunk. My legs are only 32'', so I reckon I'd fit on an 803 no problem.
Nice review. Interesting.. I'm from Portugal I own this moto and mine doesn't have that light button at right. Mine turn on lights when in low light. Like entering at my garage for example. And indicators turn off automatically if I set that option ON.
I have an '18 Scrambler Street Classic and I get so jealous when I see newer Scramblers' digital gauge cluster with their gear indicator and fuel gauge!
@@MicahMuzio Ugh, not good. It just seemed so unusual that's why I asked. I suppose there are, or will be. aftermarket wider pegs to at least help. In my search for a middle weight funster I doubt I would get a Duc Scrambler over say a MT-07/XSR700/T7/Desert Sled. Or even the new Trident, though I think the pegs are too far back on that bike for me.
I really wished that you took a minute to unscrew that seat cover and show us the pillion seat! I often ride with a passenger, and nowhere have I seen a 2019 Full Throttle without that stupid seat cover. And man, you were so close....
I rode them back to back. The Desert Sled felt slightly less nippy, but at first I couldn't tell if it was just down to riding position and height difference etc. But one of the Ducati guys did ask me afterwards and agreed that the icon, classic and FT feel a bit quicker than the desert Sled. The difference is pretty damn small anyway and I had a lot of fun on these and performance was never a concern.
Yeah but correct me if I am wrang, scramblers are supposed to have the tail pipe up high as to not get damaged with the off roading...so this is really not a scrambler and just more a cafe racer, yeah?
I agree, I've always had more fun riding a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. Cars ditto.
Ducati did a great job attracting new riders with the Scrambler line.
Came here because of the Mazda 6 video. This will be my first motorcycle video that I am watching, haha
I'm looking at a 2016 scrambler classic right now, pleasantly surprised to see you have a video on one even if a few years newer 😄
Micah, not only do you get to review cars for a living, you have a sweet helicopter. I have always loved flying since I was a kid and hope to learn someday. Now I find out you have a Yamaha FZ 09 motorcycle which is my dream bike. I am very envious of your life. Keep up the good work.
In my opinion the cafe racer is the most refined and most beautiful bike of the ducati scramblers.
Love the review and humour
I’ve just bought a Monster was very close getting a Scrambler ❤️💪🏼 🇮🇹
Plz do a lot more bike reviews. Its fantastic. Almost every car guy is also a bike guy. We all love good engineering.
There ya go.. finally... we got a bike video.. Still waiting for the reviews... Thanks Micah
"That's properly douchey." Micah, you are one funny guy!
I own this bike and couldn't be more happier 😃 Nice video 👍

Micah you should keep doing bike reviews. This one was great
I wouldda never known of this video, if it weren't for the Mazda 6 review! Nice!
That brake cable sticking out above the speedo is freaking me out.
Kinda weird yes but you get used to it. I think they wanted that way to feel old school.
I have that same bike, and never notice it while riding, just like your brain doesn't notice your nose unless you choose to focus on it even though you "see" it all the time.
Yep you think they could have tucked them away somehow

I wish I could double-love your comment. I've been looking for a long lost black twin and I've finally found him!
Can I be the long lost Asian one? Sold my MT09 last year, a good choice, but my wife isn't unfortunately a twin of yours. She didn't like me riding.
It’s a big tent at Micah Drives. Plenty of space for all my twins!!

I really like the scrambler desert sled.

Whoa you used to do motorcycle reviews too?! Way cool!
I dabbled around with them. But they proved to be high-effort, low-reward. 💁♂️

Good suggestion on height and weight!
I NEED A HONEST ANSWER, SHOULD I BUY DUCATI SCRAMBLER OR MONSTER 821 ?
You were searching for the right word to describe your male “nether” regions. My favorite is from the Aussies who call that their “wedding tackle”
Sound amazing!
I enjoyed your first "cyclic pitch." 😎
Like the bike review and sweet helmet too.

Wow, great review Micah! REFRESHING.
is that a gopro on your helmet?
what do you use to keep that camera on your helmet?

nice. What camera & mic are u using?
dovresti venire in Italia per fare un po' di curve al lago ! ciaooo

Old review, but can I ask how tall you are? I am considering an 800, but maybe I'm too tall.
I'm 5' 10". Which I really should've stated in the video. 🤦♂️
@@MicahMuzio Thanks for getting back to me, Micah.

Unrelated, I love Portugal! I’ve had some great times driving there. 🙌
@@MicahMuzio yes seems mofe logic.
That's nice. Come back again soon 😉
You guys haven't posted a motorcycle review on KBB since that ancient S1000RR one, right?
Correct. Man, that was eons ago.
What a hunk 😍.. nice Ducati
It's very beautiful but it sucks that they didn't think to hide the cables in the front. Looks bad. Great review!
I love you micah!
Thanks Keanu.
Such a fun motorcycle!
Geez dude...you test drive cars 🚗 and motorcycles 🏍 for a living and fly helos on personal time? Living the dream...
Black Paw True. I feel super fortunate. Cheers!!
How tall are you Micah? Thinking about what you said around 1:25. just as a reference :)
5' 10"
I have an '18 Scrambler Street Classic and I get so jealous when I see newer Scramblers' digital gauge cluster with their gear indicator and fuel gauge!
I'm kinda glad I learned without the gear indicator. Now its second nature
I’m 6.2 with long legs, will the foot peg to seat hight be too cramped?
Jeff Coulter It might be a bit cozy but it really depends on personal preference. Definitely worth a test sit.
hmm for the same price I can buy a Street Triple S... Both are beautiful bikes
Is the front tire backwards???
Yes you should follow flat track
UK training - KILL SWITCH NOT TO START!
Richie Rich rides again!
Carlos Guevara It might’ve been a mistake to post that pic on Insta. 😂
Did you mean "splay" toed? The front of your foot is pressed out?
Nope. The bulky structure near my heels pushed them outward, forcing my toes inward to stay comfortably on the pegs.
@@MicahMuzio Ugh, not good. It just seemed so unusual that's why I asked. I suppose there are, or will be. aftermarket wider pegs to at least help. kaveiros75 Man, sorry I missed that. You’re absolutely right, I should’ve pulled the seat cover. Lesson learned for next time. 👍
Its nice your feet touch the ground but without mentioning your in seam and height, I have no reference for myself!
He said in another comment that he is 5'10".
Seat height is listed on the Ducati website. They are not tall bikes.
Micah, is fixed wing in your future?
davedavis I won’t rule it out but honestly, compared to helicopters, airplanes are kinda boring.
@@MicahMuzio Cirrus may be an exception to the boredom.
davedavis I’m certainly open to a demo flight. 😄
Now I want a bike :(
Azusa 39! I know exactly which turn had the rock slide because it’s always there.
How tall are you? I am 5'7" and wondering if I would be able to flat foot
Camera & Tech I’m 5’10” but my legs were fairly bent. If not flat foot you’d be pretty close, especially with the optional low seat.
@@MicahMuzio love reviews from riders the same height as me.
I’m 5’7” and can.
Did you notice much performance difference between the sled and the full throttle
jaewardtattoo Honestly no. But for a proper comparison I’d need to ride each back to back.

ICON OR FULL THROTTLE ?
Micah, how did you convince your wife that driving a motorcycle called the scrambler was adequately safe?
B- Rad She’s always supported my...let’s say...”elevated risk tolerance”. Seriously, my wife is amazing.
@@MicahMuzio Lucky guy
Wait why that head light sounds like glass , plastic is more strong
still do not understand the labels people give the scrambler like domesticated like flat trackers back in the day went 0-60 in 3.4 seconds

What will Micah review next? Submarine, Hot Air Balloon?
Hovercraft.
what in your opinion is better and cheaper than this.

take a test ride on my CONFEDERATE HELLCAT ...
What if I put the number 666 on that spot? XD

Yeah, below pun was intended. I'm so sorry....
yamaha R1 in the future?
First things first. Let's see if anyone wants to watch me review a motorcycle. That's a big IF.
Yes, I do, (sorta) & u should 2! All bike-sport we must support, lest bikes go away even faster than the old farts on Harleys are going...!
Wait wait. ..Is this LA no.2 road?
