I own the Nightshift 2022 and love it! But I have to say, I'm very jealous when I see all the cool stuff they added in the 2023: ride-by-wire, traction control, ride modes, quickshift, bigger display and multimedia system. Among the 2023 models, I'm still preferring the Nightshift all the way! Absolutely beautiful design.
Hi, i love this motorcycle and i would like to know if the maintenance its around … and its true that Ducatis burn extremely his oil? Thanks!
I really like the exhause pipe layout on this bike. It has a boa constrictor look to it, like it wraps around the whole engine block.
Ducati dropped the ball when they discontinued the Desert Sled.
Surely it'll be back!
@@motobob We can hope!
I agree.
@@motobob But when, been looking at second hand for over a year?
most likely didnt sell
Great channel. You guys work well together. I'd go for the icon.
I love your content! Thanks Motobob
I bought the Full Throttle, already 800 miles in. Great for my commute, and my mates are all jealous when we for on a weekend ride. I have no negatives at all so far.
Have you found aftermarket exhausts for this or do the ones for older scramblers work on these?
@bstn6001 Nope, because I bought the full throttle, I have the nicer exhaust. So, I haven't looked at it. My neighbours wouldn't appreciate anything louder.
@@stevesteve201 ah that’s right! Stock with the term! Haha the neighbors definitely must appreciate you
Love the way the Nightshift looks but I stand up SO MUCH on my Scrambler I’m happy I got the Icon. Money saved went to full Akrapovic exhaust, rear shock and Sargent seat. It’s perfect
I like the Nightshift
I have one, it wa sgreat till it needed a few small repairs and Ducati wanted almost the same price as the bike for a few repairs... Dont waste your money on an expensive never ending bill creating burden. It is a beautiful bike and fun to ride, but you need the same money as the price of the bike to fix and service the thing. It will cost you more than what you paid for it in services over 5 years. Ducati sold only less than 500 bikes last year because nobody wants this kind of maintenance costs.. 385 bikes worldwide sold (not many eh?).. The scrambler is saving them, but in truth Ducati is dying, with the scrambler being the lifevest keeping them in exitstence. Thailand is full of Ducatis for sale (second hand) as nobody wants the cost of spare parts and maintenance, and even though Ducati factory is in Thailand, half the service centers and sales reps have closed already, because Ducati wants them to sell unreasonable amounts of bikes (impossible numbers) and they are giving up. Ducati have really xxxked up except for the scrambler, which has a separate website and identity, but the same problem will kill the movement of fandom, as your pockets get peeled by Ducati beyond what even Keanu reeves or Warren Buffet would afford or accept. second hand Ducati monsters in Thailand looks like the third reich army standing in line.. absolutely thousands of red bikes for sale... nobody wants a onster or streetfighter anymore, you can get one for 2000 - 3000$ almost new condition here. Scramblers not so much, and when you do see one for sale second hand, it is because it has a problem from assembly line like mine had. MInd you now my personal mechanic has sorted both bikes out which is better than Ducati could do and was much cheaper, so i shall be seeing how they fare now they are free from Ducati's clutches
@@AjarnSpencerWhere are you getting those numbers from 500 bikes sold last year?!
Ducati sold around 60,000 bikes last year which is more than the year before that.
I don't think Ducati are doing too bad.
Ma too , I really like it
@@AjarnSpencer are you sure? Ducati bikes are pretty expensive
@@AjarnSpencerI own the Nightshift, I’m curious where you are getting this information? Last year Ducati sold 7000 scramblers in 2023 so I’m confused.
Great video and thanks for the detailed review! Wondering though before I would buy one and given the scramblers are air cooled, are they operating optimally also in warm climates (Mediterranean countries with long dry summers)?
Just ordered the nightshift:) cant wait . Great video
That's hilarious because I, luckily, already have the new Nightshift (first in Portugal I think) and I've already changed the exhaust for the full sports exhaust (better than the Full Throttle one), and waiting on the quickshifter, handlebars, handguards, small windshield and the panniers. Rizoma parts also already installed :)
Honestly, couldn't be happier after months of comparing many many bikes, especially, scramblers!
which full sports exhaust did you get?
@@ozgurdogan2064 the one from their catalogue (which actually works really well and sounds beautiful), the Termignoni sports exhaust
@@nicolasdelabassetiere8829 that is a great sounding exhaust, great choice. For me though i dont like the straight pipe look like the triumph scramblers that exhaust looks like, still looking for an alternative..
@@ozgurdogan2064 there is that option too I believe, which is what you call a high exhaust for scramblers (Termignoni also make one for this scrambler). Thing is, they are quite nice but not super practical if they weren’t perfectly designed with the bike (Triumph made the design specifically for it), but also because the heat and ergonomics for the pillion is not ideal either.
Really good video. I'm torn between Icon and Nightshift.
8:52 Guest Appearance from EnglishBikerDan 😂
I thought it was on purpose for a second 😂
I agree night shift with the full throttle handle bar and quick shifter...if possible then that will be my pick
Awesome feedback, if I my ask what mic setup do you use while riding. I have been really struggling to get some good audio on my ride videos. Many thanks
Where do I send the invoice for my cameo appearance?? Sorry mate. Glad you kept it in though. That's what she said. 😂
😂
Just purchased the Full throttle love it!!
What do you do about the heating issue? Can you ride this without gear?
@@SrMway riding a bike naked isn't the best idea.
Living the dream! Who doesn't want to be the Muff operator 😏🤘🏻.
Great video lads 👍🏻. Nice reviews 👍🏻
Haha fair point mate! Appreciate the support
Nice video. I've been riding the same bike for four years and feel ready for something new. The Nightshift is on top of my list so far. Not sure what else to consider....maybe a Bonneville T100?
Can i get the bar changed on the Nightshift ? I prefer the more straight up body position but the nightshift i so much more good looking
Bob, what are the trousers you're wearing here, and any idea what Tim's jacket is? Cheers.
Like those spoked wheels on the Nightshift
i liked the nightshift with full trottle handelbar and quickshifter too ,and i think ducati u could ur own preference for ur dream scrambler
Can u customize it ?
Pls bring back the desert sled…. I want one and I am here all excited…
Nice bike, I never had a Ducati, it really appeals to me and I would like to buy one, I would like a Desert, but now seeing the Fantic with Yamaha engines, the same Yamaha, and the new Triumph 400 that looks great for the city, I'm going to see over time, the only thing I don't like about the Ducati is the high cost of maintenance
Is it hard to replace the bar on the night shift with a wider one?
Is choose the nightshift and do some upgrades bc it has the spoked wheels witch are better for off-road. They should have just kept the desert sled.
I like the Full Throttle!
As a 2020 reg scrambler owner I don’t like the look of the new ones. I was looking to update when the new ones came out but have been underwhelmed when seeing them in the flesh. Brought a new speed twin 1200 instead
Those look stunning 😍
CAN HANDLEBARS BE BENT BACK FOR EACH; TO NOT HAVE ARMS EXTENDED LIKE THE VDO.
I'm still new to bikes, one of the reasons I started getting interested in them was because of Akira and because they're so much cheaper than cars, I'm still.a car guy, though.
I think the X on the headlights are some of the coolest looking parts of any motorcycle I know of
What happened to 1100s?
Discontinued or what?
very beautiful Ducati Scrambler motorcycles🙏
I like the one that goes vroom
I enjoyed the guest appearance 😂
Lol I had to rewind to a few times to confirm that was Dan
Whoops! 😂
I think the Icon however I'm not overly impressed with the lcd instrument cluster-I think a more retro round analogue dial with a rectangular section for extra digital information, like gear indicator-dual trips-clock & ambient temp. I also think they should have done a enduro option with bash plate & high guard as well as spoked wheels. I would add an off road mode to the mode options on the bike. I would have dropped the night shift as I can't really see the point in it as it really doesn't fit into the retro look or an evolution of the 62 model. I would also drop the wide tyre on the rear wheel for the Enduro model as well as a slightly deeper wall profile on the tyre for better off road & more suspension travel which would translate to a slightly higher seat height at 805 mm (lowered)-835 mm (standard height).
Lovely appearence from EnglishBikerDan :)
Thanks. Clearly my mind was elsewhere! 😂
English biker Dan appearance 😂
Nigthshift is +6kg heavy. Icon for me, full throttle handlelbar.
Motobob, Tim, English Biker Dan and did I see Tim Roadie Rides.... all star performers.
Nightshift with the pipe please.
Remember when the scrambler was a retro modern bike? I’m surprised they haven’t added winglets to it 😂
I think the new Fantic cabarro 700 have these beat
Nightshift, of course ... 👍🔝
Guyss would gou consider reviewing Yezdi Scrambler? It's an Indian brand and comes at around 2000$
Love the full throttle but won't buy one because of the ridiculous short service intervals for the belts .My mileage would need 2 set of belts a year ,makes for an expensive bike to own .
2022 Triumph Scrambler 1200xc
The Icon for me
Full throttle! With spoked wheels :-)
The icon dark. : D
Full throttle for me 😊
Full throttle for me, luv it 😊😊😊😊👍🏻
expect 1000 euros for a muffler cover, 400 euros for a brake lever, 300 euros for a rear indicator light (have to change whole tailpiece both indicators, even if only one is broken, it is one piece sneaky buggers!), or perhaps, like me, 3500 euros for a new front fork... meaning do not scratch, snap, break or fall odd the thing because any damage will be beyond affordable repair at Ducati prices. Owner of two scramblers (cafe and nightshift) speaking here. If the tachometer/speedo snaps then you have to change the whole central steering block for about anoter 1000 euros.. anyway i fell off and had a few scratches and an indicator and one front fork to mend and Ducati only accepted replace with new parts and a cost of 300,000 Thai Baht to repair a 430,000 Thai Baht bike! I told them to get in a box six feet under and nail themselves shut
@@AjarnSpencer I just cried after learning this. The bike itself costs 17k Euro approximately where I live. Plus these additional expenses and the dreaded Desmo service.
FT HAS ARMS EXTENDED SO NOT AS COMFY; imo- HOW TO TURN WHILE SITTING UPRIGHT IF ARMS ARE FULLY EXTENDED.
Full throttle for me
Nightshift is still the best variant ever
Why is Alex Marquez in the video?
I am going crazy…the Full Throttle or the new Triumph Scrambler X? 😂
Nice
The scrambler icon used to cost $9k pre pandemic.. IMO they haven’t made any major changes for the $12k they cost in 2024. All motorcycles are overpriced now.. they want to attract a new generation of riders but don’t realize that the younger generation will have a much harder time justifying +$10k prices.
my vote for nightshift🤩
SHOULD HAVE LIGHTS AND LICENSE PLATE OFF A WHEEL HUB BRACKET. THEN I CAN ADD A REAR RAIL FOR SITTING........
On the NightShift
Ducati Scrambler Desert sled? where you at!
Urban rider is with motobob
I preferred the throttle version of it.
What happened to the Desert Sled..?
Why only 1 front brake rotor!!?? I hate that
Night shift with an exhaust.
So glad they droped the cafe racer, scrambler. Obvi that cant be one bike.
Full throttle
The lack of a new desert sled has immensely dropped my interest
icon 👌
Nightshift 100%
Market Miami Florida Mexico , so much
Couldn't hear any difference between exhausts !
Nightshift!
You fook up the whole purpose of the making of different modified version of these such models 😂
Full Throttle for me. But it costs more. I'd probably buy the basic one. But then I wouldn't buy any of them. SCR950 rules! Odd username now. Not my doing. I am 1990.
I’m 5”8…. Short legs…this bike is slight tall 😢
Nightshift all day baby
Nightshift for looks 😅
*Which scrambler is best scrambler?* Easy, the _Triumph._
Nightshift
A deposit is going down on a night shift as soon as I start my Mod 2 lessons next week.. 🙌🏻
name is the result : full throttle is mine and giving full satisfaction ...
APPEARS THE PASSENGER PEG BRACKET IS OUTSIDE SO i CAN ADD LOWERING PEGS FOR PASSENGER. !!
None for me! And why on earth are Ducati making the indicators so small that they will be unlikely to be seen by anyone? Or are they following BMW in that indicators are no longer required?!
Eh what? BMWs don't have indicators?
Give me a real life najam karachi
Lol English biker Dan
Night shift IS the best look. But I’m not buying a Ducati….EVER. 😂
Terrible... They should put the new single in these. Keep the styling more traditional... Like triumph, people buying Royal Enfield's because they look better, but you know they don't want to be riding RE's performance wise.
Nightshift all the way. Great review though.
the nnight shift is the only one that doesn't look like shit
That exhaust route is horrible
The tail end of all these bikes is butt ugly. I'm not surprised that you didn't show us the kick stand side of these bikes in this commercial video.
Non of them.
nightshift is the only one that looks good, definitely due to those spoked wheels. they all sound terrible though, they’re not slow bikes but they sound absolutely gutless
Orange bike for me to look at ,engines sound like a bag of nuts and bolts ,when you was giving it a bit of throttle , not for me sounds awful,
I like none, all too little for me
Sound is garbage on all
