Charlotte is so awesome and I can got lost in her books with my head filling up with ideas & inspiration. So very lovely…and don’t we all need some beauty in our life especially in our times. Thanks for the review and the trip to the shop!
“Going with a simple blue/white” with table setting is such a true statement. I adore blue/white, I only wish I had more of it! I treat it as a neutral! It elevates everyday living. Loved this review Mary! God bless, John 3:16
I love Charolotte Moss's decorating and like others here, have had it since it debuted. LOVE it! It's one I browse often for inspiration and pure joy! Thank you!
Thx for another fabulous video. Such a beautiful book full of awe-inspiring design. The trip through the curiosity shop was a fun-filled experience. What an intriguing abundance of “trash and treasures” !
How beautiful, every page was so fabulous and classic. Your presentations are flawless and I look forward to the Victoria Christmas program. Thank you.
Hi Mary. Loved the book review and actually bought her book the last time you reviewed one and will probably buy this one too. One gets lost in the pages of these type books and can dream the day away. The beautiful colors danced on the pages of her Tablescapes...eye candy for us ladies! Next week Mary ~👍🎃
Hi Mary, since you're interested in gardening, as well, I thought I'd suggest Garden Answer to you. It's Zone 5b but she's amazing! Have a good weekend.
Mary, I appreciate your sense of humor. I was more than happy to leave the store of curiosities. 😂 Also want you to know that every week I look forward to seeing what rings and bracelets you’re wearing. Go a tad slower when closing the books. 😉🥰
Loved Charlotte Moss. her books are a winner in my opinion. A wonderful choice of authors this week. The curiosity shop was certainly different. Not quite Charles Dickens, maybe The Little Shop of Horrors I think. Take care until next week, always look forward to it.
I love your wry sense of humor-“I remembered what I was looking for…the exit.” Hahaha, that tickled me! Great book review and I enjoyed the Curiosity Shop.
I love Charlotte Moss and this book is so inspiring. Thank you for the great book review! The Curiosity Shop should really be the Oddity Shop! 😄 Have a great weekend Mary!
That's a lovely book, and since I rarely entertain anymore, I'll pass on it... but in doing so, I'll also pass on a few of my own favorite (and unique) tips for a stylish and comfortable dinner with friends. 1) Cream/Ivory with black accented tableware is incredibly chic and more comfortable than black and pure white. It's also less common that the traditional blue and white, but equally versatile. 2) Reduce your dining table by two chairs and use only arm chairs throughout. I want my guests as comfortable as I am, so arm chairs for everyone! 3) If entertaining around a table is a common thing for you, consider switching the formal dining room and formal living room. Formal living rooms are rarely used, so why not have a larger dining room and a small but formal "receiving room" off to the side. Just remember, you'll need to spruce up the family room for larger gatherings, but it's worth it if dinner parties are your passion. Cheers... And Happy Dining!
The only things I liked in that curiosity shop were the two blue and white plates. Loved the book, though. Anything by Charlotte Moss appeals to me. Now I'm off to buy all the good stuff to make my Christmas cake 😉😊
@thetartantopiary lol I made a simnel cake this week, which has led to the Christmas fruitcake. Bring on Christmas! 🎄😄 The fruit and brandy have met and will get well acquainted for the next 48 hours 😋
I was hoping you'd review this book. I bought it a couple days ago and can't put it down! I got some ideas from Charlotte and have already improved the look of my dining room table. Thank you for taking us to the Curiosity shop, and a happy Halloween to you, too!
Another great book review. Charlottes designs for home and table tops have always been a classic design with nothing left out. I did enjoy the shop tour and even found myself looking at pieces myself. Haha. It’s hard to find those shops here in Miami.
Charlotte seems to be a natural host, and I do especially enjoy this book. This shop always reminds me of New Orleans. There was a lot to see, but I think the ventriloquists doll had the biggest "creep factor". I couldn't have that in my house.
That's funny- I'm just the opposite. The taxidermy (if done tastefully ) does not bother me. The ventriloquists doll looks like it might come to life and smother me while I'm sleeping.
I have had this book since the day it debuted. It is simply gorgeous and, in my eyes, Charlotte Moss can do no wrong.
Yes, I agree!

This was an exceptional book, and YES, I could get lost within these pages! 💗

Lol the exit! 😂 Another beautiful book. Would love a glimpse of your extensive book collection ❤❤
So much gorgeousness! Very inspiring. Thanks Mary😊
Charolette Moss is a master design genius. Love her ideas and inspiration. So lovely!!

"ah, this is a nice palate cleanser" You are wonderful Mary!
Such a fun video 🎃👻. I absolutely loved the Curiosity Shop tour as well as the book review of Charlotte Moss Entertains 🌹

Great comparison. I'm pretty sure there was a carnivorous plant in the back room! 😄
A beautiful book, beautifully presented. Thank you.❤
Love blue and white. Loving the old shop fun to see things in different states.
I love your wry sense of humor-“I remembered what I was looking for…the exit.” Hahaha, that tickled me! Great book review and I enjoyed the Curiosity Shop.
This book is absolutely fabulous! I love it! Thank you, Mary, and I always enjoy going shopping with you! Happy fall! 🍁
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful book presentation, China and crystal is my weakness.
I love Charlotte Moss and this book is so inspiring. Thank you for the great book review!
The Curiosity Shop should really be the Oddity Shop! 😄
Have a great weekend Mary!
Blue and white, indeed...
Too funny "now I remember what I came in looking for...the exit" 😂😂😂
The cat sweater would be prefect for Halloween

You are a fountain, my friend, in world of drains!

I have this book as well. Love it!
😂😂😂😂Very funky store, but loved Moss ‘s book!
Love it. Thanks
🎃 fun!
Also, I love your choice of background music in your videos.
Thank you! Background music can be tough. I appreciate the feedback.

Had the same feeling w the blue and white china
It was nice to see little scared objects.
It definitely creates a mood for Halloween. 🎃
ДЯКУЄМО ЗА КРАСУ ❤❤❤🎉
Does she list the names of the patterns and fabrics?
Thank you,
😊❤
I like the Charlie McCarthy ventriloquist’s dummy, but I’m unnerved the taxonomy animals. 😮
