Years ago I had a dear friend in Paris when we were both students. Her parents bought the top floor studio walk up in the building where they lived for her. As you can imagine, it was tiny but exuded French charm in the most authentic sense...bright, feminine and not overdone. It's possible to have good, even great taste on a budget. Garrow will have what most French people will not have based on his American wealth. But I enjoy watching him for his personality and what I believe is his genuine respect for the French people and their culture. And the French he works with understandably enjoy the revenue he brings to their enterprises! 😊
Fabulous!! We love Garrow’s design sensibility, and greatly appreciate how he walks us through his creative process. That last furniture shop in Paris left us salivating; we could easily walk out of there with five or six pieces that immediately “spoke to us”.

If I had a Parisian apartment I’d have loved Homeworthy to do a parallel ‘mini-series’ on me renovating it: while Garrow’s will cost millions, mine would be sourced from local flea markets, charity shops and stuff from my current home for a fraction of the cost (and look just as gorgeous). Ah, I can dream….
I used to live opposite the Café de Flore and at night I would walk the dogs around place Furstenberg, rue Jacob, Verneuil and look into all the antique shops for inspiration !
The Fabric and Trims are are beautiful. And the antiques. The Apartment is a canvas. So collecting all the ingredients to paint the flat with and decorate the details. So buying 'paints' to use on the new flat canvas.

Deb here. I watched his tour of his apartment and he mentioned a tea called Mariage Freres opera. I never forgot that so when we went to France in July I was on the lookout for it. The small towns we went to did not have it. It wasn't until we were in Strasbourg that we found it in a department store. The tea comes in these tiny muslin bags. I tried Mariage Freres wedding and it was delicious. Thanks for the recommendation.
OK, yes, that door color is fantabulous! LOVE it! Seems fairly similar to F&B's Hague Blue? When Garrow mentions briefly occupying an apartment close to Royer's shop, he IS referring to the one profiled in the Fall 2023 issue of House Beautiful (US), right? LOVED that one, as well as his Chelsea Hotel apt, and the one in Montreal, and I hope this one is his piece de resistance! Cannot wait for the next episode!
