an appreciated insight. i used your referral code to break into this sector, not something i'm massively familiar with however, your, channel has been a great source of information, so thank you.
Thankyou for using the code and your kind words. What are you investing in?
Good video davy . It's good to hear a local accent
Thanks for watching, nice to hear from the natives!
Your still alive .
No dought RUclipsrs will bring back to life , as it's time to talk about ISA's 😂😂😂😂
At least your still alive 🎉
Very informative and have just opened a IE Isa for this year with your link. Particularly like the fractional feature that my Vanguard past Isas do not offer.
Thankyou very much. Good choice. Update on my ISA coming soon. Been some changes
Very nice…I’m seriously thinking of going with Invest Engine for the next financial year, after a few years with HL. The ability to buy individual stocks has cost me dear with HL, so it’s no bad thing that IE doesn’t offer this option.😊
I found stock picking was just too unpredictable for me. Too much going on I have no visibility of. So ETFs is the best way for me to invest. It's all about the bottom line, and almost always, simpler is better 👍
@@PrettyPennyClub Exactly! I seem to have bad luck or no luck with my stock picking!
@@stevegeek then let's remove the guesswork! 👊
You do indeed have a good choice on HL, more expensive platform tho
@@kieron8051 I know you can but the temptation to buy individual stocks is also there with HL... that's cost me dear over recent times. Not sure I have the will power to only buy ETFs! 🙂
Great video David. I like the IE interface.
Ever thought about combining your 4 ETFs into 1 ETF, like a global fund, to simplify your approach?
Yes, I have thought of doing so. In some ways I did it like this because I wanted to see how different parts performed, but at the same time, this game is about making dosh, so a simpler life might just better with VWRL or similar.
Nice to see you back David my man!! Great video and transparency, which is so engaging. Quick question if you please....do T212 do fractional buying of ETFs or do you need to purchase whole shares? Take care & stay frosty 😊
Thankyou, nice to be back! Yes, t212 offer fractional shares also 👍
@@PrettyPennyClub Thank you 😊
Any rumours of vanguard reducing their fees to match invest engine for their own funds? Seems really weird that their own funds are available cheaper elsewhere (although vanguard is far from expensive anyway).
Vanguard's platform charges 0.15% per year in most cases, so if you aren't looking for their LifeStrategy (for example) many of their ETFs are available on free platforms like InvestEngine or Trading212 so it makes sense to save the platform fee imo. However, Vanguard have a history of reducing fees, so perhaps they will shrink again in the future.
Great video. What I can't understand is, I have exactly the same 4 ETFs in my investengine and all 4 are down, yet Davids are up. I invest £200 monthly between the 4 ETFs and have done for about a year also !!!
We have invested different amounts at different times. Not on purpose, but when this happens timing plays a part in what your money returns.
@@PrettyPennyClub Thanks Dave
Hi I really enjoyed your video and I am wondering if you could answer my question. I do not really understand what happens after you decide to take out the money in your ISA, on Investengine they stated that "withdrawing funds from your ISA account will affect your allowance, and you will not be able to deposit the same monies back into your ISA account". I am really struggling to understand what this means. I appreciate your help!
What the mean is everyone gets an ISA allowance each year. Say 20,000 to be current. If you deposit 1000 and withdraw that 1000 it still counts for your allowance. So you will have 19,000 left in you allowance even though you deposited and withdrew the same amount.
If you deposit that 1000 again, you will have £18000 left for your allowance.
So, your ISA allowance is based on deposits only, not your net deposits.
Does that make sense?
@@PrettyPennyClub Thank you very much!!
Great video thanks
Thankyou for watching 👍
@@PrettyPennyClub i am also switching my isa. Moving from HL to invest engine. Reason being it stops the temptation of buying individual stocks and also the fees. No brainer
What about lightyear for individual stocks.
Yes, I like lightyear. I use their product. I have some content on the channel about them, check them out 👍
T212 is a great provider. Why haven't you thought about using their ISA?
I have an ISA with t212. Plenty of videos on the channel about it. InvestEngine offer ETFs only and that keeps me away from dabbling in individual stocks. No temptation there! Keeps me on track with my chosen strategy. You are right tho, t212 is a great option
@PrettyPennyClub Curious, is there a much difference between t212 and IE regarding ETF options, prices, availability, speed?
Very little to choose between them. Investengine has no individual stocks. Only ETFs. I'm preparing a full comparison video - coming soon. Investengine execution isn't immediate. A bit like vanguard this way, they save on costs by executing in batches
Hi. The invest engine link doesn't appear to be working.
Thankyou! I have updated it in the description - should be this: investengine.pxf.io/PrettyPennyISA
Im happy.
Best way to be
@@PrettyPennyClub glad i never went with free trade.
Not my favourite platform. Good thing is you can always switch providers. Very much a buyer's market 👍
Why do InvestEngine need to raise money via crowd funding?
Still very much in growth stage I suppose.
@@PrettyPennyClub For which you get some sort of % stake in the company?
Yes, they have run at least two rounds as far as I'm aware. I don't know the details of what early investors got, but they published the vision and the pathway at the time for anyone interested.
Hi. Could you please let us know if they have got ETF VUAG Please
It’s a Vanguard ETF
Yes, it's there. Happy investing!
Ps - you want to do better due diligence..
Etoro are Now doing ISA's.
Wake wake 😅😅😅
You are refering to their recent partnership with Moneyfarm, I presume. Etoro do not provide the ISA services. Says that as plain as day on their website.
"Moneyfarm provides the services, and eToro shall bear no liability for such services. eToro has a revenue-sharing mechanism with Moneyfarm. Moneyfarm is regulated by the FCA as an Investment Advisor and Investment Management Company - Auth no. 629539"
