  • Most generators with plactic gas tanks have a rubber bushing which holds the fuels shutoff in place. Over time these fail and gas leaks out of the tank.

Not said, only implied - I pulled my fuel cutoff switch and bushing out of my tank to clean my in-tank fuel filter (not part of your cutoff switch). I could not get the cutoff back in because I had not removed the cutoff from the rubber bushing. Seeing you push the rubber bushing into the tank with out the fuel cutoff switch helped me enormously! Thanks

After oiling it, you could try to left to right, up and down motion while pushing it in.

Any idea where I can find this bushing, the part has been discontinued or an aftermarket one?

I have a Pramac with low hours I bought at a pawn shop, and it turns out the factory drilled the hole out of round, so I carefully ground it true as I could but if I go wider the grommet won't fit snug...any advice how to fill it in drill somewhere else? LOL

What is the size of the bushing? I have the same generator and I’m having trouble finding the correct replacement bushing

I will use O-Ring grease rather than oil. Hydrocarbon based oils/lubes will attack rubber compounds.

The part number is in the description. Do not remember where I got it from. Recently I have been using the Hipa brand from Amazon. Seems to be compatible with a lot of generator tanks. amzn.to/3surpx5
