Excellent vid. Personally I’d take off the skid plate, it’s just 6 bolts and saves from having to clean up the small mess that’s inevitable when the skid is on
Question. I got a grizzly 600 I'm thinking the oil pump went out. But I'm noticing the oil pick tube might have fallen out. If that fell out would the pump still pick up the oil. I changed the oil by there no oil getting to the filter. Ideas?
2017 Grizzly needs a 14mm socket to take out the oil plug....I got so frustrated using an oversized socket. I was thinking it wasn't going past the skid plate. The size is not in the manual. This model also needs 2.0 litres without a filter change and 2.1 litres with. Too bad the fricken oil container comes in a 946ml format!! These two issues put the GRRR in Grizzly).
Never understood not filling an oil filter as much as we can prior to reinstalling it. No matter how much will be lost reinstalling in a horizontal position
I accidently put castrol 10w-40 ( non energy conserving ) engine oil in my grizzly instead of the Jaso standard . Will this hurt the wet clutch ? I haven't ridden it far .
How do we reset the maintenance indicator after changing the oil? I just got a little wrench icon to show up on my display and not sure how to clear it. I’m sure it’s a button combination similar to a vehicle I just don’t know what it is.
@@casey0012345 In my 2017 Grizzly book it says INITIALLY you change the oil and oil filter when you reach the first of 320km, 1 month or 20 hours. The next is due the first of 2500km, 6 months or 160hrs (oil and filter). After these 2 changes (ie the first year's oil/filter changes) you change the oil every 6 months (or after 2500km (1600mi) or 160hrs) and skip replacing the oil filter every other time. Page 8-7. Sooo, oil and filter every 5000km (3200mi) and in addition do an OIL ONLY change in-between (ie after another 2500km(1600mi). Simple eh?
Thank you John. I’ve changed axles stator, regulator and ECU. I had the confidence in doing so due to your videos. Now oil change and radiator flush.
The look on his face when he starts it up is priceless!

Holy crap 💩 how come these guys don’t have more subs? This video was amazing!
I would really like to know what torque wrench he's using 🤔
Appreciate your videos. I also buy from the parts store. Less than dealerships. 👍🏽
John is the man!!
This was such an awesome video. Very helpful. THANKS PARTZILLA.

Great instructions thank you
Is this the same as a 2012 Yamaha grizzly 700 EPS referring to the type of oil and a filter I should purchase

It’s just so you have to buy the $100 oil change kit for it, of fucking course you need to buy 2 quarts for a 2.1 quart job lol
Hi! Would this apply for a 2011 grizzly 700?

Is this the same process for a 2020 Grizzly 700?
I believe they haven't changed much since 2007 should be the same motor and locations
oil filter wrench part number quoted is incorrect. does not fit the oem yamaha oil filter
Thank you
I always prime my new oil filter with a few ounces of oil before installation.
I hear its the same as a 450 eps kodiak? Oil change
Tires look brand new ?
on my 2018 Yamaha grizzly a 15MM socket worked to take out the oil plug.
2017 Yamaha Grizzly needs a 14mm socket.
Thanks for the video ! Great help ...
is there a way to fixmy flashing gas gauge
My 2007 700 Yamaha grizzly stalls when I quickly decelerate. Any suggestions?
Tuning? Restricted airflow?
Excellent video! Thank you very much!
For people from another planet :
Drain plug torque - 29.8 Nm (22 Foot Pounds)
Oil filter torque - 16 Nm (12 Foot Pounds)
Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem.
He says 17 mm socket but he clearly is showing an 18 mm socket on his bench when going over tool list
I saw that but when he is doing the actual change you can see it is a 17 mm socket
Mine was a 17
I would trust this guy with my machine and that's saying something
it says change it every 320 miles not 3200 miles in the Manuel
Sounds like you got one with a typo.
Partzilla check their website, it’s says 320 km
