They are just averages at the end of the day and statistics mean nothing at the individual level. It’s like saying the average height for men in America is 5’9 but when you go out in the real world, men come in all sorts of heights ranging from shorter or taller exceeding the average height range.

I’m 18 and I got 1 inch taller within 2 days, me and my sister were comparing height then 2 days later when I checked out markings I was 1 inch taller, I had severe back pain and leg pain during the 2 days, hence why I rechecked the markings, I’m now 5’11 and surprised because I knew that I should’ve stopped growing at 16 but honestly I’m praying for 6ft, I will pray for yous as well

Same here. I hit puberty around aged 15 and at that time I was 5ft 5½. At 16 I was around 5ft 10 and then at 17 I got to 5ft 11½. Now that I'm 18 nearly 19 I'm at 6ft ½ and I can promise you that I too am still slightly growing.

Guys everyone grows at different ages... Its the genetics and body that determine how tall you'll be... So no a doctor or anyone can not just say:' ok at this age you stop growing' its different when people stop growing... Some stoop at 14 and some stop at 16 or 18... And i' m talking abt both genders... I was 16 when i had my last growth spurt and im 6'0 as a female... My older sisters stopped at 15 and my other big sis stopped at 17. So its different... My big brother stopped growing when he was 19... So it depends on your genetics and genes👍🏾 hope that helps...

So I got my growth period at 11yrs
I wouldn't eat or sleep well when I was 10c and 11 😔 , I would stay up all night till when I was 12 , Im turning 13 next month and I'm 4'8 cause of no sleep I haven't grown from after I got puberty 😔 But I've been trying to sleep starting from this year but I failed, I've been sleeping and eating well for the past 2 months so now I'm here being 144cm (4'8) I used to be 141cm just 2months ago now Ik I can really grow till I turn 15 in the next 2 years and even after I turn 15 I WILL take MEASURES to GROW even a bit taler than I'll be thank you for reading this once very immature child's story I will make sure I grow to 160-65cm . It's all my fault I didn't grow or I wouldn't have been like this I would've probably been 5'4 or 5'6 smthg I missed almost 2 years of growth 😔

People really need to read things carefully online and also lookout for keywords like unlikely and most when it comes to when the body stops growing this doesn't mean all. In general, most adults are done growing but there will be exceptions for some people that get taller as an adult.

You grow until the age of 25 and then you start to age.
i can confirm, i was 173cm at 16 and only grew to 174cm in that year and ive been that height since and im almost 19 so i completely gave up on growing taller a while back, it is what it is as its completely genetic but im grateful im not shorter than what i am
oh and my growth plates didnt close at 16 it closed at 17 as i do remember i was 173cm at 16 then 174cm at 17 and have remained 174cm since, google does say male growth plates close at 15-17 so i did fall into the threshold and was lucky to grow an extra year, i guess i stopped growing at 17 then
It’s different for everyone but you can keep growing from 18 till like 22

@@BeingRizzed tbh not much my growth peaked really early then slowed down later on. After 16 I grew slowly maybe 5cm and then after 18 I hit another small growth spurt and have grown a bit taller. But ur bone plates don’t freeze until early twenties so u can keep growing after 18

Im 16 but I think im a late bloomer. My dad is 6ft mum is 5ft
The average 16 year old male is 6’6 - 6’8
To clarify i think he means growth spurts as people usually stop growing around age 18-21

So there is a thing called bone age and at bone age 16 your growth plates close so sometimes people could be up to 18 and still have them open due to their bone age being less than their actual age.

16 is the biggest lie I’ve ever heard I have family who was like 58 at 15 and then at 16 had a gross spurt to like 63 and kept growing
