i think you can use sharks too -- although i think im remembering this because you can use charos to convince the spirit that carps or bass r just small sharks
if i was doing this chunk thing rellekka only, i would definitely not allow exceptions, i would kick and punch rock crabs until i had the combat stats to beat koschei while flinching him, and finish fremennik trials before completing any chunk tasks
i absolutely love seeing runescape players that don't understand drop rates and odds and how they work. you never had an 83% chance to have the giant shark. The rate doesn't change as you fish more, it's the same 5000 sided dice roll every time you pluck a shark. Learn the game you're playing.
The percentage is representative of the percent of players that would have caught the big shark, given they fished (x) amounts of sharks, not the percent chance that he, singularly would have the shark. Therefore he is correct in saying that he is a part of ~17% of players who would not have the shark by that point Edit: in conclusion yes you are correct about it being the same 5000 sided dice for each singular roll, but the probability that you roll 1/5000 goes up cumulatively with each roll. E.g - each individual coin flip is 50% tails, but the probability that you get at least one tails in ten successive coin flips is 99.9%. Therefore .1% of people who flip ten coins will roll all heads
Don’t think I ever said that the rate changes. Every shark is it’s individual 1/5k chance, not dependant on other rolls. But taken together a snapshot at 10k sharks means at that point in time there was a 86% chance I would’ve obtained one. Cumulative distribution function is a very basic math concept my friend. If it makes it easier to understand, make the assumption before starting the grind: ”If i fish 10k sharks now, there’s an 86% chance I’ll end up having a big shark”.
Time to sleep and continuesly repeat watching it for weeks until i finished it

I've forgotten if you've talked about it, but have you discontinued the CA-Chunk series? I really enjoyed it personally.
Unfortunately yes, it was just not succesful as a series even though I enjoyed it as well. Might revisit it later if there’s more interest!
