I have been watching his RUclips videos for a long time. Highly recommended if you are an engineering nerd like myself. Otherwise most people might find it a bit...in the weeds on designing, ha.
You are kinda expected go already have some form of reliable prostethics and to have a workshop so that you can machine it within tolerances, but that doesn't mean you have to do everything yourself. Ian himself suggested a little over a year ago that one of his intents when thinking about making it available outside was that you could hire a workshop to do almost everything for you, including assembly. Only thing you would need to be there for is for mold casting for the fit of the limb and fine tunning. Its an awesome project and an ever going one too. Just recently he was talking about his struggle to find an acceptable material for the fingertips, one that is both durable and feels right to use on a workshop and day to day life.
This ist so goddamn incredible.
How dude included incorporating his timepiece in with his build is phenomenal
This will change many lives. I hope he takes this very far.

Whoa! I thought it's a gauntlet, not a prosthetic. I wonder how it performs with everyday tasks, it looks very decent.
Dang man this makes me feel like I don't wanna have fingers just to try this prosthetic 😅
Very cool!
That seiko looks cool in his hand 😉
😮 ooh wow
How does it work? Like how does he move the fingers and is he able to move just one finger like if he wants to point?
He has an youtube channel that he uses to show updates/explanation and new versions of his prostetics, its very neat,
Just search Ian Davis
It's powered by his wrist motions with some very clever mechanisms to maximize the functionality.
If he flicks his wrist in a specific direction it like "changes gears" and it isolates a finger so he can only fold three fingers. So he can point
Search up Ian Davis, you will find out how he built his prosthetics with one hand.
Essa mão é incrível😮
where are these lits available?!
Follow his channel Ian Davis
I Want One and I have all my Finger! Thats Awesome Very Cool Looking Too! Half Man half Robot
Sentry goin up
Erecting a dispenser
Gotta move that gear up!!
If you know you know
It's awesome!
But I cannot help myself try to imagine somebody with no hand to assemble it yourself as DIY. But it's my crazy mind.

Built in brass knuckles
Aw man my fingers get in the way can you design one for people with fingers?
Cyberpunk 2077
wait so he actually has no fingers on one hand
You can check out his channel to learn about his story, and most likely way more information on how this hand works then you ever wanted, ha.
