Captain johns treasure May be the key that we are all missing. We have heard about this treasure 2-3 times. Shanks gives buggy something to help locate captain jones treasure at the battle for ace at Marine fourd, thriller bark nami recovers a tool map to lead them to the treasure, and another time I can't remember. But shanks obviously knows something about this treasure and told buggy specifically to find this treasure. I believe it serves a greater purpose and if it's not a road ponegliph it could be valuable information regarding to devil fruits, Emu, or the void century possibly a short cut to get to the last island. Shanks can easily find buggy if he wants to so why not entrust him with a back up plan for safe keeping
Alot of people sleep on Mihawk because of his clash with Vista but we need to remember Mihawk is one of the most honorable swordsman and characters in the series. He didn't even want to fight Zoro with his real sword he started with his tiny knife so I feel like he was holding back alot because he wasn't trying to kill or mortally wound Vista. And fought on Vistas level
Vista didn't even get warmed up against Mihawk, who knew it was just a delaying tactic to give Luffy space to get away. Mihawk also respected Vista as the WB Pirates top swordsman so he gave him the duel he wanted. He even gave a full slash to Vista ,who was able to block and parry it. Mihawk, like Hancock didn't really want to be there either.
What if Buggy doesn't need the Poneglyphs and knew how to get to Laugh Tale this whole time. Here me out. I know this is quite a stretch but this is Buggy we're talking about. Even back then, when he serving in Roger's crew, he was keeping secrets from his crew mates, like trying pretending to eat a devil fruit only to sell it later on. He might've secretly gleaned some important things from Roger that others don't know.
The way I see it, the Cross Guild is how we'll get all the rogues gallery of One Piece in a single faction. As you stated, many ex-warlords will join it, but I personally believe other villains such as Foxy, Wapol, Germa 66, Caesar and even the main villains from East Blue will join the guild. There's also the fact that none of them knows how to read Poneglyphs, and that's where Enel joins the story with not only an army of robots but also with the knowledge on how to read the stones, since there's gotta be a connection between the ancient kingdom and the moon.
Bro I would have the biggest hayday if that happends becuase then they are looking at armys in the 1000s and everyones reaction would be the coolest like if Arlong joined and mastered armament haki and observation haki it would just make sense to fight Jinbe because Arlong has been betrayed by Jinbe. Nami fighting Enel to see who has the strongest lightning abilities would be masive and would be able to disable the robots. Weavle and Doffy would fight Sanji. Zoro would fight Mihawk then when he defeats him he will become the greatest swords man. Geckomoria would fight Usopp and Brook becuase what Usopp did to Parona was just disrespectful and Brook hates Geckomoria. Chopper would fight Foxy and Wople because Foxy wants Chopper to give to Porche and Chopper hates Wople. The rest of cross guild and the east blue villians would help with the battles and Buggy would fight Luffy becuase who else is Luffy going to fight but it's ggs against luffy because gear 5 broken even with Buggys DF awakening. Also to take down the rest of the armys that cross guild posses they would call the staw hat grand fleet and that will be the most epic pirate crew fight EVER.
With Crocodile and Mihawk I think getting in and out of Impel Down is pretty easy. I'm wondering though, with time could Crocodile destroy the Gates of Justice. It's just a giant door, I would think with enough time he could destroy it with his devil fruit
@Riponelungkebun The Sraphim were sent after Crocodile was confirmed to be on the island. This was likely after Cross Guild was established. We don't know whether or not this fight has already happened.

Syv the generational change is larger than just the marines (admirals changed, Old Gen retired, Koby becoming the hero, Garps fate now). It is also the old guard of pirates falling simultaneously to the new gen. I think youre right ab Sengoku and Tsuru having moments soon, maybe even Rayleigh. Kaido and BM were really the last standing pirates of significance lasting since the Roger Era

Here’s an interesting theory: Buggy’s Devil Fruit was Xebec’s Devil fruit. Devil fruits have wills of their own and somehow Buggy has this hidden charisma that attracts strong people around him who necessarily don’t follow him yet find themselves attached to him. Sounds familiar?? None of Xebecs crew members seemed to see him as the Leader but somehow still followed him. Buggy unknowingly building the next generation of Rocks Crew with Cross Guild and somehow they are getting close to the main goal, world domination.

the cross guild hype is real! I also like the take (by mr morj I think) that the initial idea of the warlord-system was to mimic a yonko (+crew). Having one who is equally as strong as a yonko (= mihawk) and other strong pirates about as strong as yonko-commanders, like kuma etc.; + some of them having a lot of subordinates, which all together make up to be a force being on par to other yonkos.
Since all admirals are worth 3 crowns, any vice admiral is probably worth 1 crown. So the picture of that Vice Admirals makes me think either Doberman (although it is missing the mustache) or John Giant.
Getting Doffy out of prison would be kinda cheap. We had an arc where pirates breaking in to Impel Down was unheard of, and yet they did it. If they do it again, it would diminish Impel Down, since it's so easy to break in. Magellan probably increased security tenfold as well.
rather than break in, maybe the CG takes over Impel Down. Bon Clay and the Okamas of Level 5.5 try to fight but have to flee, triggering an exodus to Kambakka Island and conflict with the Revolutionaries.

There's a theory that mihawk already defeated the SERAPHIM'S based on the wordings of the panel of chapter 1058 ... Also take note the navy mentioned only crocodile not mihawk ... The navy/marines doesn't prioritized crocodile they prioritized buggy mihawk boa weevil because of the abolishment of warlords ... So my thoughts is crocodile spotted by the navy on empty bluff scouting the place while going to mihawk place. Take note that crocodile did go to mihawk place trying to recruit mihawk ... So crocodile after a successful attempt of recruiting mihawk crocodile did go back to empty bluff and he sees the marines/navy fighting the buggy pirates then mihawk go to empty bluff since that place is the meeting place knowing buggy has a debt to crocodile! The buggy pirates didn't mentioned crocodile but did mentioned mihawk as if mihawk did something big/impressived!
As far as i remember Oda is quoted as saying he would take robins devil fruits so he has more hands to write and draw with. So he can write and draw a lot more quickly and efficiently and wouldn’t need to take as many breaks and would be able to finish the story before something we’re to happen to either him or his hands 😅🙏🏼

The Seraphim sent to the Cross Guild may not have the same powers as their inspirations. The Kuma one won't have the Paw-Paw powers or the Vegapunk laser.
Law and doffy will make an alliance with cross guild but then law will betray the guild and kill doffy because pirate alliances often end in betrayal bringing it back in circle

I'm probably alone on this but I'm a firm believer that Crossguild will absorb Neo-MADS into their organization. If you're Neo-MADS you don't need to (or probably don't want) to be the center of attention putting a huge target on your back from the WG. When Crocodile and Mihawk are talking about the Utopia project, they make mention of being a military state. This is important because the type of military state that they seem to be modeling for is a stratocracy. Meanwhile, Germa(which as of now is the base of operations for Neo-MADS) is actually a Fiscal Military State. Also we know from Whole Cake island that Judge wanted to gain the backing of Big Mom because Germa is a nation with no country. Crossguild needs weapons and manpower, both of which Geema can supply in abundance. Germa(Neo-MADS) needs to sell weapons to keep a continuous flow of money coming in to continue their R&D. If there is a Impel Down 2.0, not only could they leave outta there with Doffy and possibly Weevil but also maybe even King and Queen as well because I suspect that Greenbull captured all three of them. I think Greenbull had captured Weevil not too long before heading to Wano and crossing paths with King and Queen in Udon. I believe that after he was stalled by the samurai and Shanks, that Greenbull took them both back with him. We even see him requesting a battleship for transport before encountering Momo and crew. This would make Crossguild a true power in the world with multiple underground connections and the military might to be a direct threat to the powers that be. Imagine the vast territory they can cover and control with Empty Bluffs, Thrillerbark and Germa servings as bases of operation. Plus, I'm sure Crocodile and Mihawk would rather sail on Thrillerbark that Buggy's ship although I think Weevil would actually be on Buggy's flagship with him so that there's some muscle around Buggy. The Revolutionary Army vs World Government and Crossguild vs The Marines is what I see being setup.
So totally random thought. In the fight that weevil surrenders to save his town there are flames depicted. It’s a pretty common occurrence when a town is being attacked but what if green bull brought along an unidentified seraphim with him to go after weevil? In my head cannon after the egghead incident takes place stussy convinces the crew to go to impel down to retrieve weevil & other pirates like our beloved bonchan however the crew has to fight admiral greenbull and his flame conjuring seraphim ace 😱

Even back then, when he serving in Roger's crew, he was keeping secrets from his crew mates, like trying pretending to eat a devil fruit only to sell it later on. He might've secretly gleaned some important things from Roger that others don't know.
The way I see it, the Cross Guild is how we'll get all the rogues gallery of One Piece in a single faction. As you stated, many ex-warlords will join it, but I personally believe other villains such as Foxy, Wapol, Germa 66, Caesar and even the main villains from East Blue will join the guild. There's also the fact that none of them knows how to read Poneglyphs, and that's where Enel joins the story with not only an army of robots but also with the knowledge on how to read the stones, since there's gotta be a connection between the ancient kingdom and the moon.
Bro I would have the biggest hayday if that happends becuase then they are looking at armys in the 1000s and everyones reaction would be the coolest like if Arlong joined and mastered armament haki and observation haki it would just make sense to fight Jinbe because Arlong has been betrayed by Jinbe.
Nami fighting Enel to see who has the strongest lightning abilities would be masive and would be able to disable the robots.
Weavle and Doffy would fight Sanji.
Zoro would fight Mihawk then when he defeats him he will become the greatest swords man.
Geckomoria would fight Usopp and Brook becuase what Usopp did to Parona was just disrespectful and Brook hates Geckomoria.
Chopper would fight Foxy and Wople because Foxy wants Chopper to give to Porche and Chopper hates Wople.
The rest of cross guild and the east blue villians would help with the battles and Buggy would fight Luffy becuase who else is Luffy going to fight but it's ggs against luffy because gear 5 broken even with Buggys DF awakening.
Also to take down the rest of the armys that cross guild posses they would call the staw hat grand fleet and that will be the most epic pirate crew fight EVER.

@Riponelungkebun The Sraphim were sent after Crocodile was confirmed to be on the island. This was likely after Cross Guild was established. We don't know whether or not this fight has already happened.

Syv the generational change is larger than just the marines (admirals changed, Old Gen retired, Koby becoming the hero, Garps fate now). Here’s an interesting theory:
Buggy’s Devil Fruit was Xebec’s Devil fruit. Devil fruits have wills of their own and somehow Buggy has this hidden charisma that attracts strong people around him who necessarily don’t follow him yet find themselves attached to him. Sounds familiar?? None of Xebecs crew members seemed to see him as the Leader but somehow still followed him. Buggy unknowingly building the next generation of Rocks Crew with Cross Guild and somehow they are getting close to the main goal, world domination.

the cross guild hype is real! I also like the take (by mr morj I think) that the initial idea of the warlord-system was to mimic a yonko (+crew).
Having one who is equally as strong as a yonko (= mihawk) and other strong pirates about as strong as yonko-commanders, like kuma etc.; + some of them having a lot of subordinates, which all together make up to be a force being on par to other yonkos.

Getting Doffy out of prison would be kinda cheap. We had an arc where pirates breaking in to Impel Down was unheard of, and yet they did it. If they do it again, it would diminish Impel Down, since it's so easy to break in. Magellan probably increased security tenfold as well.

rather than break in, maybe the CG takes over Impel Down. Bon Clay and the Okamas of Level 5.5 try to fight but have to flee, triggering an exodus to Kambakka Island and conflict with the Revolutionaries.

There's a theory that mihawk already defeated the SERAPHIM'S based on the wordings of the panel of chapter 1058 ... Also take note the navy mentioned only crocodile not mihawk ... The navy/marines doesn't prioritized crocodile they prioritized buggy mihawk boa weevil because of the abolishment of warlords ... So my thoughts is crocodile spotted by the navy on empty bluff scouting the place while going to mihawk place. Take note that crocodile did go to mihawk place trying to recruit mihawk ... So crocodile after a successful attempt of recruiting mihawk crocodile did go back to empty bluff and he sees the marines/navy fighting the buggy pirates then mihawk go to empty bluff since that place is the meeting place knowing buggy has a debt to crocodile! The buggy pirates didn't mentioned crocodile but did mentioned mihawk as if mihawk did something big/impressived!

As far as i remember Oda is quoted as saying he would take robins devil fruits so he has more hands to write and draw with. I'm probably alone on this but I'm a firm believer that Crossguild will absorb Neo-MADS into their organization. If you're Neo-MADS you don't need to (or probably don't want) to be the center of attention putting a huge target on your back from the WG. When Crocodile and Mihawk are talking about the Utopia project, they make mention of being a military state. This is important because the type of military state that they seem to be modeling for is a stratocracy. Meanwhile, Germa(which as of now is the base of operations for Neo-MADS) is actually a Fiscal Military State. Also we know from Whole Cake island that Judge wanted to gain the backing of Big Mom because Germa is a nation with no country. Crossguild needs weapons and manpower, both of which Geema can supply in abundance. Germa(Neo-MADS) needs to sell weapons to keep a continuous flow of money coming in to continue their R&D. If there is a Impel Down 2.0, not only could they leave outta there with Doffy and possibly Weevil but also maybe even King and Queen as well because I suspect that Greenbull captured all three of them. I think Greenbull had captured Weevil not too long before heading to Wano and crossing paths with King and Queen in Udon. I believe that after he was stalled by the samurai and Shanks, that Greenbull took them both back with him. We even see him requesting a battleship for transport before encountering Momo and crew. This would make Crossguild a true power in the world with multiple underground connections and the military might to be a direct threat to the powers that be. Imagine the vast territory they can cover and control with Empty Bluffs, Thrillerbark and Germa servings as bases of operation. Plus, I'm sure Crocodile and Mihawk would rather sail on Thrillerbark that Buggy's ship although I think Weevil would actually be on Buggy's flagship with him so that there's some muscle around Buggy.

So totally random thought. In the fight that weevil surrenders to save his town there are flames depicted. It’s a pretty common occurrence when a town is being attacked but what if green bull brought along an unidentified seraphim with him to go after weevil? In my head cannon after the egghead incident takes place stussy convinces the crew to go to impel down to retrieve weevil & other pirates like our beloved bonchan however the crew has to fight admiral greenbull and his flame conjuring seraphim ace 😱
