I always like the fact that you show us the "Um, could've done better" ones and not just the perfect ones, it really shows others that there is a learning curve to all things we try to do and that we can't be perfect everytime, and as you show us with practice comes perfection. Thank you Gail and Alex.
So true. I've had so many prints come out bad(or at least not how I envision), that I'll find myself getting frustrated, wondering how others make it look so easy. Seeing other people going through the trial and error helps me feel less frustrated and more willing to give it another go and just treat it more like an experiment.
Oh my goddd, this is incredible. Stottle Bopper print heaven! I must aquire one of these masterpieces! Pastermieces🥰 And just for the record, seeing mother/daughter hands, working side by side,it truly touched me. The two of you, such a creative duo! ❤️
Also, know this: There is a painting of my mother’s hands, and her sisters hands, and my youngest cousins hands, and my grandmother’s hands, she was 100 years old. It is on canvas, for all to remember.
I enjoyed every moment of your new artistic venture into gel printing. The results were stunning. They reminded me of the flags they hang on their clotheslines in Mexico. Always bringing cheer to those that look upon them. My birds singing along with the lovely background music in your vids is always a real treat for them and me. Thank You, Ladies.
Thank you so much for showing the “failures” I’m the type of person/artist that gets really discouraged if I’m not immediately good at something, which of course is impossible 😅 I love this reminder to keep trying things until you get the results you want!! 👍🏻💕
You can stamp on to the gel plate, wait until it dries and then put a thin coat of contrasting colour on top and then lift a print. The wet ‘top coat’ lifts the dried stamping. Beware; gel plates are addictive.
@@Karyn1000 I think Karen means, the first color is applied to the stopper, then stamp it onto the clean gel plate. Dry, then add contrasting color. It would have a very distinct background color that way.
Hello from the blueridge mountains in Virginia ! I found your larking channel a few weeks ago, and you have kept me company on my jewelry bench ever since. I was delighted to discover we also have so much art in common too! All of your videos are peaceful and inspiring, and your music choices are brilliant! Well done and lark and art on!
Ah, gel printing is just so many square inches of mystery and magic…isn’t it?! (or centimeters, square centimeters…lol) So very glad that you two take us along on so many journeys into the realms. Lovely.
Thank you for the inspiration! These designs would make gorgeous fabrics, tea towels, wallpapers, wrapping papers, greeting cards and so much more! They are delightful, as are your videos and the both of you! 💕
Stunning, they look so magical. Yay 🎉 You both did it. I would love wall paper with all the different sheets. And you could scan it and print onto fabric to make cushion covers, t-shirts. Now the sky is the limit. 😍👏👏 Well done. 🎉
Well done ladies. Even though it appears what you have pressed into the initial paint layer is gone after the first pull, try adding more paint and pulling another print. I've seen gel artisans able to pull several from one impression. It does become quite artsy as you go, but the results are lovely.
I am so happy to have found your 2nd channel. I LOVE watching your relationship with each other. What a breath of fresh air to see how much you get along and how calm your voices are. It’s a pleasure to watch you work together. I bet there are a lot of mothers and daughters wish they had the same relationship you have with each other.
This was great! Loved watching the process and progress! I think the gold with red on top created a great print. I think it would look great as a print on a silk scarf! Beautiful!
Congratulations!!! I tried and tried a few years ago. no luck at all... then recently, this year I heard that the paper goes on and you wait till it dries!! Slap my face!!!
I’ve used gel pads before in art class, you can get some amazing effects with white cotton fabric. Well done your prints looks fab and as they say practice makes perfect x
Oops. Comment i was starting sent accidentally. This was relaxing. Hadn't heard of gel printing before, these turned out really cool. The music combined with seeing you both creating together was so calming. Love both your channels. Am subscribed to both.
I did gell prints a while ago and loved it. I used ferns and made cards for my family and friends. I also framed some. I also used black paper and silver paint for some. Loved watching and appreciated you showing your first attempts.
That is such a beautiful art you are creating. From the videos, over the choice of music up to those pictures - it is beauty in every bit and step. Thank you for showing me something new that I most definitively will try myself. I am flabbergasted.
What a great video! Some of the results remind me of very early photocopies, some of tattered ancient manuscript illustrations, others of very old book bindings, even Tibetan prayer flags. And thanks for leaving in the trial and error bits.
I loved this video👍❤ more please. These pieces of art turned out super good❣ and bright too. My husband and I have done ink block printed on tee shirts for a campaign 43 years ago. You both have such an eye for beauty. Thank you❤
I have watched junk journalers do gelli printing, Luise Heinzl and Barbara at 49 Dragonflies, so I was very interested in seeing you use the bottles and bottle stops. Your layering on of two colors was so successful. I can see how what you were doing is more complex than using stencils or stampers because of the glass. You got some beautiful results!
Love your prints ! I have made my own gelatine plate and have used it for printing leaves flowers etc but this gives me a new idea to try other things. Thank you for the inspiration.
Gorgeous prints! Who would have thought to put them to such use!? You are so imaginative and creative. I imagined a print under glass in a serving tray for drinks. Your channel never fails to inspire and make me wish to run out into the world and hunt for treasure!! Thank you for doing all the digging for me, and turning your found objects into gold.
Great prints from your mudlarking finds. Gel printing is lots of fun but there is definitely a learning curve, you did very well. Thank you for sharing the learning too!
I've not listened to your closing statements yet. My favorite parts of this was seeing your hands on the paper. Both of your hands. How precious is that moment? The prints are all lovely, even the ones that didn't turn out so well as I thought they would make a great background in a scrapbook page, or a card. Thank you for letting us see the don'ts as well as the do's, it's good to see the progress. Thank you ladies, have a lovely week.
I love everything about this video. Love that you show your mistakes, love that you seem to think these prints are beautiful, even though they aren't "perfect", love watching you work together, as always. Thank you for the lovely video. ❤
Wow, you worked hard for your artwork. Gorgeous colors and some fabulous results. I can appreciate your dedication to a variety of arts with your great finds.
As a crafter I loved this episode that's not to say I don't love your other videos because I do take care and looking forward to your next adventure. 💜x
Haven't even finished the video yet but wanted to comment - just wow! I love the vulcanite stopper prints - I can't even imagine getting to pore over each and every one on the print in person. Incredible. You are such masterful artists
So much fun to go on the journey with you. Thank you for sharing that! I envision a whole line of high-end giftware: cards, art prints, tea towels & pot holders, gift wrap etc.
So neat! I even love the ones that didn’t turn out right! So beautiful! Now I have to ask, Are you two singing!? It actually sounds like you two. Absolutely beautiful!!! ❤️ And you two are so talented I wouldn’t doubt it 🤗
Now that was really interesting and its nice to see how you started and progressed getting better each time. So nice to have a crafting video and to see you both again trying somehting new. Stay Safe and thank you for all your videos as I so enjoy them.
Printmaking, in all of its forms, is so deeply satisfying! I am fascinated by the potential for the second layer. Soooooooo many options. :) Thank you so much for showing us your process.
You both got there in the end and I loved the shimmer it gave, I think these would look cool on t/shirts, I wonder if you could just turn the gel plate with the prints on over on top of material/ T/shirt then roller the back to press it down then gently peel away the gel plate to transfer the print???🤔you could try on an old T/shirt and if it works well get some fabric paints👍🏼

Those would make lovely wallpaper for a Victorian doll house. ❤
Enjoyable to learn along with you! So pretty!
Frame them, let the edges show, and hang them in a series. Those are awesomely beautiful.
I love the ooohh, aahhh moment when the paper is carefully peeled back.❤️Gorgeous!
Ohh, I'm intrigued! They turned out lovely!!
Thank you! xx

Isn't that what they just did?

Loved watching this a second time
Loved seeing the “mishaps” as well as the beautiful antique looking successes. Great craft and great fun. Thank you ladies for trying something new. 🌻
Those would make gorgeous end papers or flyleafs in a homemade journal. Thx so much for sharing your gel print adventure and the lovely music. 🌻💚✨
Fascinating!
I second Elizabeth St Hilaire gel printing videos. She is amazing!
You could make greeting cards out of those!lol
Yes, that's a great idea! xx
@@NorthernMudlarksMake Or wrapping paper 🎁
If at first you don't succeed...your perseverance paid off. Lovely papers.
Your perseverance paid off Gail and Alex, your end results were awesome. Take care.

Post Cards too!
I love the one with the turquoise blue and silver. I reminds me of an old mirror silvering.
Missed you girls... never knew that gel printing even existed before! Love all your videos. All the best to everyone xo
I love it 👍♥️
What a cool way to preserve a bit of history.
Beautiful creations. It’s interesting to see the process from “oops” to “got it.” I really like watching you try out all the different art projects 😊
