- Brief History about Tehri and Interview of some people who lived there. ( Garhwali Video )
This Video is about history of old Tehri , how king ruled the kingdom. How people lived there and how was their lifestyle used to be in the past.
Tehri Drawn in the Lake on 29, July, 2005 and due to Tehri dam
More than 112 villages got immersed in water. It was very difficult for them to shift from that place.
There are four People in this video - Manoj Shah, Gabbar Gerwal , Umesh Charan Singh Gusain and Girish Ghildiyal.
All of them shared their lifestyle. They told me about how do they spend their Childhood. They Fight for Tehri Damn. They used to celebrate Bansant Panchmi, Khichadi Sankranti and Makar Sakranti in Old Tehri. Many people from nearby villages used to come to celebrate these festivals in Old Tehri, which is rare now.
I liked it when they shared their activities they did in the past, it was amazing.
This video is the World's First Garhwali vlog in word History.

I went to old Tehri and new Tehri in summer of 1987. It was a nice place then. One of the important chapter in Garhwali history has been submerged. I wish time could be reversed. UP government should not have done it. UP govt could have been wiser then. Lets hope in future when electricity will be produced by other means then Dam can be dismantled.

Those people who left their villages due to Teri Dam construction who lived there, spent their childhood days there, ,who moved to New Teri or Dehradun.Only one thing they have only sweet memories nothing more than that this thing always reunite them from old people who moved here and there. It's nice thing that u are capturing this precious memories from them.
It is the pain of Teri People we can only hear but they feel and realize it. ye ek sapne ke tarah hai jaha raat mein hum Teri mein they subahh ute to New Teri or Dehradun mein paya. jaise kaal ki baat ho.
Hanji ye sab aisa lgta hai jaise ki kal ki he baat ho :) Sahi kaha aapne, waha jane ke baad aisa he feel hota hai ! mujhe un sbka bahut bura lgta hai!
